Mum,
There was an air raid last night. We are all well if not a bit sleep deprived. Phineas One of the boys even crie I know you would rather read something more uplifting, but considering your last, I figured I should open with our health. I hope the office was still there in the morning. Both Kennan and Graeme have promised to owl you before the end of the week.
I apologise for waiting so long to write and can only offer extreme amounts of work as the best excuse. We were handed an out-of-lesson project by Professor Gulch - she teaches the girls Practical Magic - where she partnered each of us with a young girl to be 'parents' to an egg. My partner is Miss Araminta Burke. She is nice enough, and we have managed to maintain a relatively structured schedule with the exclusion of her week in the Wing. Both of us were in the greenhouses when the bombs hit. Before you begin to fret, I sustained only a few bruises and scrapes. My classmates sustained the most damage. On the positive, it did give me a fair amount of practice I plan on taking what I learned that day and applying it to my future profession 'hobby'.
While we are on the subject of girls, and since you inquired, I did do as you requested and sent a few valentines wishing a good day to some of my classmates. Miss Hornby None of them reciprocated.I wonder Do you think There are questions I wish to ask but wonder if it is appropriate since you are not a male in danger of such things interfering with your life. Many of my classmates have been taking up valuable time by arguing about the war on the continent. Some say it is honorable to willingly go to war at such a young age while others are labelled as cowards for wanting to take more diplomatic roads with Grindelwald. I want to protect you, and Kennan, Graeme, uncle, and father; but I do not want to lose Would I be a coward to Could you see if uncle or father has time between what I can only figure is a busy season to permit me one letter? I know I can talk to you about anything, and wish I could, but this is too inappropriate delicate to discuss with a female.
Please give uncle and father my regards.
Love,
Jameson T. Kirke
