Dear Kennan and Jameson,
I will not open this letter with the obvious question as your younger brother had the decency to write to us after the horrible events on Thursday. We are all relieved to know that the three of you were not seriously injured. Your uncle had a shelf fall on his arm but is otherwise home and resting, and your father and I are in fine health, in case either of you were wondering.
There is a backlog of work for the company, aided by your absence from the offices yesterday. We already heard about how Headmaster Dippet cancelled your visit, but you would think considering your inability to see us this weekend that one of you would have the decency to write to us about it. Especially when we are already concerned for your well-being. I never want to see only one letter with only Graeme's handwriting after such a serious occurrence, is this clear?
I hope you boys do not mind, but my own time is short and so there will be one letter for you to share. Do try not to tease each other about your personal messages. Kennan, please write more often, and try to be more careful in your lessons. Jameson, it would be kind of you to tell your brothers when you are not at your designated location, drills or otherwise. Graeme was very concerned. If you need topics for what to discuss with your mother, then perhaps how you both faired this valentines' holiday would be a good start.
The batch of biscuits this time is fairly smaller than normal. I know you will rationally decide on how many you each deserve.
Sending our love,
Mum (Father, and Uncle Millan)
