Thursday 26 August 1943.
Moody, Ignore the owl my wife apparently sent an hour ago, she's being SILLY, I can absolutely write a letter by myself now that I'm all grown up and a big boy, so, yeah, if you're not busy -- DADDY, LOOK. I know, Val, I like Teddy too, but Daddy is writing a very important letter right now. Oh, for God's sake, Dick, put down the Dictaquillâ„¢ and get some rest before you hurt yourself aga-- DADDY. TEDDY. -- ANYWAY, Moody, what I was saying, was that if you're not busy on Friday, no, Val, I can't play play Peek-a-Boo with you again yet, go bother Mummy for awhile, sorry, if you're not busy, we'd love it if you could come over for tea tomorrow after-- stop hitting me with Teddy. EVIE, sweetheart, can you make him stop? Val, come on, dear, let Daddy shout at his quill a little while longer. NO. So, Moody, let us know as soon as you can when you can come, we'll be here all afternoon tomorrow anyway. Are you actually going to send that letter, darling? It must be a mess by now. Ugh, I'm not going through all that again for one letter, so can you please just send it? ANYWAY. Signed, Professor Viridian. |
