AN IDEA FOR SAFELY USING THE TOILETS IN GROUPS Hello! This was an idea for how we can all be going in and out of the toilets safely in groups right now, and I was thinking it could be shared with everyone, because we all want to be staying safe and helping each other do that in these times. And this is just a suggestion and optional, so I'm not saying everyone's got to be doing it. The yellow Xs are students in a group and the little arrows are the directions the bloke or girl'd be facing in. The flashing red star in it is the one who needs to be using the toilet. Those there are sinks on the left and toilet stalls on the right.
Ttwo students will be staying outside the room as look-outs, and one will be keeping the door open as the others patrols around to be making sure the attacker doesn't surprise the door-watching from behind. The other three go in with the bloke who needs to use the toilet in the middle, the student at the back looking forward into the room, and the one at the front looking back out the door. Everyone's looking side-to-side just in case.
The two outside students are still doing the same thing next. So, when toilet-student is doing his thing, the other two inside the room have got their backs against the wall where the sinks are so no one can be sneaking up behind them (sorry, the diagram's not very clear), and they're looking front at where the stall is.
After finishing up, the student's using the sink, and I'm thinking this is the dangerous part because he's got to have his back open for the attacker to strike, even if he's got an eye on the mirror to be seeing behind himself -- but that's okay because the other two in the room have still got their backs to the wall and can be scanning the area behind the hand-washer. And the two outside on look-out are still there, and then everyone takes turns if they've all got to be going, and when they're all done, we leave like in the first diagram, but we'd be going backwards out of the room instead. |
