Gifts on a Snowy Morning
Title: Gifts on a Snowy Morning (1/1)
Author: blue_siofra
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Lucius/Severus, Draco
Summary: Christmas at the Snape-Malfoy household.
It was a cold and snowy morning outside the Malfoy Mansion. Inside, however, it was toasty and warm. It was still early enough that all the people were still sleeping. So nobody heard the soft ‘whoosh’ that accompanied the green flash of flames in the sitting room. Nor did they see the odd-looking man step out of it with an even odder-looking assistant.
You see, this man was what the Muggles called ‘Santa Claus” but the people of his house have never heard of this ‘Santa Claus’. They haven’t because they were wizards. So to them, the presents that appeared overnight just appeared there by magic. Which, truthfully, is what happens. This odd looking man waved his hand and presents filled the spaces at the foot of their beds, ones from friends and family. The odd looking wizard and his goat left the way they came in to go to the next house.
A few hours later, the sleeping wizards of the Malfoy Mansion started to stir. A little blond boy came bounding into the master bedroom, robe flapping behind him.
“Papa! Father! Thank you for the gifts!” he squealed as he launched himself onto the bed between the now awake wizards. Both wizards sat up and looked at the little one.
“You are quite welcome, Draco.” The blonde wizard said. Little Draco gave him a hug, then turned and hugged the dark haired wizard next to him.
“Thank you Papa for the potions kit. Will you help me make some later?” The joy in the little one’s eyes was infectious.
“Of course, little one.” Little Draco beamed and bounded for the end of their bed and thrust their packages in their hands. The adults smiled at each other and then opened the presents at the same time.
“Why, Severus, you shouldn’t have.” the blond wizard chuckled. He opened a box to find a silver ring that was fashioned by three serpents entwined. Two had extremely pale blue jewels as eyes and one had an onyx black eyes. He gave the dark haired wizard a quick kiss on his cheek.
“Neither should have you, Lucius.” The dark wizard said, holding up his gift of crystal, silver and platinum vials. “You knew that mine were getting thin. Thank you.” He gave a small smile to his companion.
