Who: Dori, Oddball Where: Lorrayna Phoenix- Dinning hall When: May 7th, midday. Why: Quite as she is, Dori does enjoy company. Rating?: PG13 Status: Complete
doctor_dori Dori had already finished her lunch, but wasn't in any rush to head back to the infirmary. No one was injured, and so she could sit here. She had a warm cup of coffee clasped in her hands yet again, the warmth and caffeine a blessing. She was currently a little lost in her thoughts, but not too far gone.
_oddball_ Oddball spent some dully appointed time in his shuttles for a strech of time. No one really knew what he did, 'sides blaring music inside. Though truth be told he didn't do very much, just lay about and read various things that come off the cortex. Less'in he had a lady type aboard. Then was obious what he was doin'. The man found his way to the kitchen; he peered in and smiled once seeing Dori sitting inside. "Howdy there little lady." Oddball spoke as he entered.
doctor_dori Dori looked up and over to Oddball. Warm smile on her face from his somewhat silly greeting. "And a good day to you sir," she teased lightly. Then sipped her coffee. "Care to join me?"
_oddball_ "A sit down would be love." He told her with a wide smile and the tilt of the head. He went and gathered a cup of coffee and a bowl of the left over grub for lunch. After doing which he settled at the table next to the blond girl. "S'how you been keepin' yourself?" He asked with a smile before taking a sip of the coffee.
doctor_dori She curled into her over shirt a bit, getting more comfortable now that she had someone to talk with. "Better, an' better, I s'pose." Her small smile was a little sad, "could be worse." Another sip, "an' you?"
_oddball_ He watched her sad little smile out of the corner of his eye, as he ate his partially cold lunch. Was true it could be worse, be'in on where Emerald picked Dori up. But the man was glad she was on board now. He could only imagine what she had gone though. Though he had imagined he would have done things differently, though he also imagined he would be dead, while she was smart enough to keep herself alive.
"Good, good." Oddball said with a nod. "Work means a happy Captain, and you know her she gets all gitty." He smiled. "You should get yourself somethin' nice with your share once we hit land." He told her with another tilt of the head. "All you girls should." Though he didn't think Monica would, but Gwen, Emm, and Dori could. Would be nice little thing for the three to do.
doctor_dori Often enough Dori wished she would have done things differently herself. But she couldn't really change what'd happened. She only hoped wherever her old crew had ended up, they didn't hate her.
"That she does, but it's nice." She smiled back, "not just us girls. The whole crew should get themselves somethin' nice." Though Dori would likely spend hers on medical text or supplies. Might buy herself a nice warm shirt, but she didn't much need anything else.
_oddball_ Oddball nodded according to that. "I could search'n see if I can find me something rare and valuable. Maybe some old tunes that been placed on disc or somethin'..." Oddball smirked at the thought. He liked old music and finding as much as possible. It was a hunt he always took to when anywhere that might have something interesting.
doctor_dori Dori gave her version of a laugh, which anymore was just an actual smile. "Sounds to be a fun time," and in a way that said he was very welcome to tell her to bugger off, "s'pose you need a hand searchin', you'll let me know?"
_oddball_ "I most certainly shall, little lady." He told her with a playful wink. He took a sip of his coffee, and finished off eating the rest of what was in his bowl.
doctor_dori She smiled wider, shaking her head. Her time on Lorrayna likely wouldn't have been near as smooth without him, and his lovely oddities. Her cup practically sitting on her lips, "you, Oddball, are wond'rful.. in a very odd way," then she sipped. Hiding her small grin in the process.
_oddball_ At that he made a thoughtful eyes shiftin' smirking face. "If'n you say so." He grinned; most men or even just people would have been like 'I know'. But not Oddball he was slightly modest about most things, that even being about his character traits sometimes. "And you Missy are a delight to have on board. Wouldn't know what we'd do without your doctorin' ... us bunch always getting into skirmishes and the like."
doctor_dori She gave a soft, but firm nod. She might know much outside of doctorin', but she knew that. "Sie-sie," she told him. "I'm sure one or a two of the crew wouldn't mind themselves a little break from all my doctorin'." She said, mostly as a joke. Though she did know of at least one of the crew who wouldn't mind the break.
_oddball_ He chuckled at her joking, though he added "Suppose'n 'hat be true 'n some cases, though only cause they are stubborn folk 'n the like. Thinkin' they don't need fixin' even when they do." The last bit he was talking about somebody in particular. Was no secret how she avoided going to Dori whenever hurt. Even in case when getting shot, she had to be made to stay in the infirmary till she healed.
doctor_dori "Wei Shan of them, but it sure has been keepin' my job mighty interestin'." Still wearing her grin, "'sides, I do think I be gettin' better at keepin' their ornery selfs in the infirmary."
_oddball_ "How Gao Guhn of you. That's a task in it's self." He smiled at her, then finished the rest of his coffee.
doctor_dori Dori finished her own coffee, then gave a smile in thanks. Standing she picked up her glass, "I'm gettin' more, if you want some," she offered him.
_oddball_ Oddball smiled, "That would be lovely little Miss." He added her his cup. And while she was doing that he took his bowl to the kitchen and rinsed it out. Then He came back to the table and settled at it once more.
doctor_dori Filling the two cups, she returned to her own seat. She passed over his cup, then sipped at her own. Sitting in the quite for a moment, since she didn't have much useful to add right then. She figured if Oddball didn't want the room so quite he'd find someone else to sit with, considering even with an interesting topic, she didn't say much.
_oddball_ Oddball didn't mind the quite. He was usually one of many words, but he understood some of the crew weren't as fond of it as himself and he was completely alright with that. Oddball sat drinking his cup of coffee and once he was done, he smiled politely as he stood. "Well, Little lady I best be gettin' back to my shuttles. 'fore Gwen comes lookin' for me or somethin' of like."
doctor_dori Dori sipped her own coffee, looking up at him as he stood. She smiled, a little sadly, though she surely wouldn't admit to why. "Sheh sheh, for keepin' me company," she told him.
