Re: Thorne Proudfoot
I fudged this a little bit to basically go over his entire childhood/life in Snowcap as well. I don't even think I can give you a top ten, but five examples:
Throwing a fit about one dinner one evening the first month he was with the Proudfoots. He was given three options: eat it, ask for something different politely, or go hungry. Afterward, he and Joseph sat down to find a list of foods that he would eat as an alternative if he didn't like dinner (as long as he didn't eat the same thing for more than five days straight) he was also expected to give input
Ages 9-12 or so. Thorne has always loved to argue and prove his point. He got into a bad habit of going 'Well, ACTUALLY...' or 'Let me tell you something..." which is fine when you're respectful, but he wasn't. When that happened, Thorne was assigned to write a multi-page paper about whatever topic he thought he knew more about. It started with three and then went up to ten.
Age 16. He and some friends all took some alcohol from their parents and had a party on the beach/edge of the lake that separates Snowcap from the Reserve. Thorne stumbled in well after curfew drunk as a skunk. A few hours later, Joe woke Thorne up bright and early and had no sympathy for the hangover. There was a full slate of weekend chores (and a few extras thrown in for good measure). Thorne was convinced he was going to die.
