"Exactly," Colin agreed. Girls didn't get the punching game either. They weren't supposed to though. The firefighters had a badass nickname for their house because they were just that tough. 'Nuff said.
Colin gave her a look. Because they'd give her a tour because she was his sister. Cate was gorgeous and Kayla was adorable. They'd be eating out of his sister's hand in minutes. Which was why he was definitely making sure he'd be there when his girls were. Just in case.
Right. Just because it had actually managed to survive a cross country trip. "He's a fireman, he needs something more reliable," he pointed out. "Probably why his coworkers sent him here. So I'd tell him to get rid of that piece of junk and get something that has metal somewhere besides the engine."
He was liking this guy less the more Cate talked about him. Divorced, just moved into town, lonely and nervous. God, he might as well have just written 'fix me' across his forehead. "How the hell did you learn all of that in twenty minutes?"
Okay, so he also might be avoiding the subject of his lack of social life too. But that wasn't the point here. The point was...well, the point was some guy was talking to his baby sister and he needed to be checked out. That was the point.
