After being fussed at about neglecting the shop, even if it was all in good fun, there wasn't any way that Cate wouldn't be there come Monday morning. She'd gotten in early, scrubbed the pot, started the coffee and was in the middle of a long inventory process. Kayla was in the portable playpen gurgling softly to a contingent of over sized, pastel colored monster toys but mostly just being a little angel. Cate was so glad about that fact.
She didn't hear the car pull up, didn't even notice that anything was there until she heard the voice. Since she had been kneeling behind the main desk it would have been impossible the the visitor to see her. Standing up, she waved through the glass and then motioned for him to come in. The office door was open. "Hey," she called invitingly. "Good morning. Can I help you? Still raining, huh? Want some coffee? I made it so it'll be good." Even with him a short distance away, she could tell that he was impossibly tall.
