Prince William Forest Park was beautiful in the early hours of the morning. The few joggers on the various trails hardly knew what was going on deep in the woods. The dust had been successfully distributed about five minutes earlier and the women in the bunker were feeling groggy and disconnected. None of them really seemed to pay it any mind. It happened every so often that it would get too hot or something else and they would get lazy. Only one of them had ventured out of the bunker but not too far.
All the very pregnant woman had done was stand a few feet from the entrance, breathing in a little fresh air. It could be so stuffy and... honestly, smelly in the bunker. So many wolves and so little room it felt like. That was probably one of a few reasons the door was even visible for a moment. It was sunk into the ground and the stairs were covered by bushes that had grown wild over the years. After only a minute, she'd gone back down and locked the bunker door behind her.
A few minutes later...
The two pregnant wolves were barricading themselves in their little room as much as they could as the door had just been thrown off its hinges. The other wolves ducked into their room but more to take strategic places for combat. After all, they couldn't do much in the hallway but to fight one by one... Yeah, that'd be smart. However, they were struck with fear - much more intense than if they'd been alert. They smelled bear. Christ on a stick.
In the back, Gary didn't even realize anything was wrong yet. He had headphones on to video chat with some unsuspecting girl a couple of states over... One more recruit to replace the ones lost. Sera, on the other hand, heard and knew it for what it was. It took all her power to push away her exhaustion and fear to sit up, clear her lungs and let out a howl to alert what equated to her real pack as to her location and her status as very much alive and capable.
