What You'll Find When Checking Out Colleges in America
Who: Faith and Hiroshi
Where: Some Under-18 Club in LA
When: Monday Night
Faith was out on the dance floor of a random under eighteen club that she had found recently. It wasn't Avarice and, while she didn't want to kill Ben anymore, she still didn't exactly want to see him right now. Plus, this place played decent enough music, so she couldn't argue with that all too much. She swayed back and forth to the music, something by a local rock back that she couldn't place the name of at the moment. It didn't matter. All that mattered was that she was getting rid of some excess energy right now. She was feeling cagey lately.
Hiroshi was, for all intents and purposes, in heaven. He'd gotten a week to visit the U.S., to meet the family he'd be staying with when he came here after high school to attend college, and to get to know the area. Every little thing, things most people got annoyed with on a daily basis, were things of wonder to him. And a club! That played honest to goodness American music, and wasn't just a facsimile??? YES. So he walked in, eyes wide in excitement, head bobbing a bit to the beat of the music blaring out.
Faith was pretty much commanding the dance floor at this point. It wasn't always something that she did on purpose, but, when a hot girl grooves to music, people tend to gather around and watch, mostly men. She didn't care. Not like she'd go home with any of them. Well, maybe one. Who knew?
Now, Hiroshi didn't know too many American girls. The two he was closest to, Dot and Angie, were pretty much the precise opposite of Faith. He looked at her dancing, a little in awe, really.
Faith cast a glance around the club as the song winded to a close. Her and Candice were still doing the score keeping thing, mostly for a lark more than anything else. When she caught sight of Hiroshi, she smiled and winked at him. He looked pretty much like someone in LA for the first time, so it would be fun to at least play with him, right?
He watched her, unintentionally, really, a big smile on his face. She was clearly enjoying herself, which went a long way toward making it even better.
Once the song ended, she made her way to the bar. She just wanted a bottle of water or something to cool off with before heading out or picking a boy toy to take home.
"Hello!" He said, working up the nerve to walk up to her. "I am Hiroshi... you're a very good dancer."
She grinned at him. Well, this was definitely interesting. "I'm Faith, pleased to meet you. And thanks."
"I'm visiting here from Tokyo..." He was trying to sound natural, and not like a total loser. His success? Well... that's up to you, I suppose. "May I buy you something to drink?" His voice was cutely flirty, his accent actually very faint.
His accent actually was pretty faint, although Faith had figured out he was Japanese before he said he was from Tokyo. "Sure, you can buy me a drink. Just a water right now will work."
"To buy a drink for such a beautiful girl is my pleasure." He smiled at her, that same smile that always turned Angie to mush (whether she admitted it or not, thank you).
That was a nice grin, but Faith wasn't one to turn to butter on the first grin. "Pleasure's mine to drink it," she said, shooting him a smile and a wink of her own that has melted more than one man as well.
And yeah, his knees kind of jellified there. He muttered something to the bartender, and then handed her a cold bottle of water. "Here you are..."
"Thanks," she said, twisting off the bottle and leaning her head back to take a long swig of the water.
He watched her, feeling himself tremble a little. She was smoking hot, and he barely knew how to act. She seemed more like a force of nature than a mere mortal. "Would you like to dance?"
"Sure, I'd love to," she said. Another song started to play. "This song good for you?"
"Very much, yes." He said eagerly, offering her his hand. He'd never expected to be hanging out with a gorgeous girl during this trip. Guilty as he felt for realizing it... it occurred to him that he really didn't miss Angie or Dot or Satsu as much suddenly.
She took his hand and lead him out to the dance floor. This guy was definitely cute. A little young for her (she liked them older) but definitely someone good to pass the time with.
"Do you live around here?" He asked, trying to make small talk as they danced. He actually had some impressive moves, as he loved to dance back home.
This kid could actually dance. Well, color her surprised. "Yeah, I'm originally from Boston, but I've been living here for a while." She looked at him. "Why'd you come to LA from Tokyo? Vacation?"
"I'm planning to go to college here, so I came here for a week to meet the family I will be staying with..." he explained, that bright smile lighting the room.
"Sounds like fun," Faith said. "Make sure to give me a call when you relocate. I'd love to see you again." The kid was actually kind of fun to be around.
"Really?" He sounded a bit shocked. "I would love to get to know you."
"Sounds like fun," Faith told him. She grinded up against him a little as she was dancing.
He blinked, definitely excited but trying to play it off. "I think I'm having fun right now, actually..." he murmured, chuckling a little.
She laughed. "That's part of the fun," she pointed out to him.
He nodded, moving his hands to her hips. Hey... for what she was doing, this had to be allowed, right?
If she minded, she didn't let on. She just continued to smile and dance with him for the moment being.
Luckily, Hiroshi was a good actor. Hey, it's what he wanted to be! He was nervous as hell, and
She pressed her hips against him again for a moment. "So, what do you think of the grand U.S. of A. so far?" she asked him.
"It is a wonderful place... I've always wished to come here!" He said, raising his voice a little to rise above the din of the music. "I am hoping to become an actor..."
"An actor?" Faith asked, arching an eyebrow at him. "A lot of stiff competition out there. Got any sort of a backup plan?"
Yeah.. stiff was exactly what he was trying NOT to be right now. "Well... I am going to attend college here for art, and I am also interested in competitive martial arts."
"Well, at least you've got real plans," Faith said to him with a slight grin. As the song started to end, she turned and looked at him head on. "Good luck with all of those plans. You really should look me up when you get settled here."
".....really?" He blinked, wondering if she was serious, or if this was just something girls here said to be nice.
"I'm very serious," Faith told him. Never turn down a hot guy when you can find him.
"Now I'm suddenly very sad to be leaving so soon..." He said with a cutely nervous smile.
She winked at him. "Just means that you'll hurry to get back here then."
He dug quickly into his pocket, pulling out a small pen and a crumpled piece of paper, on which he wrote his name and his e-mail address. "Please keep in touch? It will be at least a few months, I believe, until I can move here..."
She smiled and took the email address. "Sure. Lucky for you I actually got one of these things." She grabbed a napkin and, after borrowing his pen, wrote down her email on it. "Here you go."
He really couldn't believe this... it was far more than he'd hoped for on a short visit here. He grinned broadly at her, leaning in to give her a friendly kiss on the cheek.
She grinned. "Such a gentleman," she said to him. "Don't find many of those here."
"I was raised to respect women... it's just how I am." He said with a bright smile. He was having the time of his life this week.
"You have no idea how rare that is these days," Faith said to him. She looked down at her watch. Damn, time to go and kill vampires. "I've got to run. Keep in touch, though."
"I will! Promise!" He said, just waiting to brag to Satsu about this now...
