After School Fun
Who: Clark, Fred, Keegan, Logan and Miranda (because we've gone crazy today, clearly)
Where: Music room, Regan High – After school
When: Thursday, March 10th
Note: Any high school character can join this 'class', just keep in mind that it's only on Thursday afternoons.
Clark had somehow managed to talk Miranda into joining him in the music room after school had finished, since today was Thursday and that meant performances and being creative with others in a judge-free environment. The new teacher had set up the 'class' a month ago, but sadly they hadn't come up for a name for the gathering. Maybe that was something that the mun should work on, hm? Anyway... Clark looped his hand in the crook of Miranda's arm as they walked to the classroom, big beaming smile on his face. "Trust me. You'll LOVE Miss Burkle. She's the sweetest thing."
"Okay. And I'll take your word on that, just don't expect me to get up in front of everyone and sing anything." Miranda said to the boy half teasing as the pair entered the music room. How Clark HAD managed to talk her into going to the music room after school, Miranda didn't know. The boy just seemed to have a knack of getting her to do whatever it was he wanted, or felt she needed to do. Of course that could be said in reverse where the BFFs were concerned.
When Clark and Miranda entered the room, Keegan was in a corner with Logan. The guy had become a good friend of hers and was now helping her work on the song she had started composing, mostly in her head, that day he had walked in on her in the music room.
"Oh, hey. Cool. Miranda and Clark are here," Logan pointed out when he saw the pair enter. He was closest with Clark, but he and Miranda got along well enough.
Clark led Miranda over, since it was always nice to sit with friends. "It's always nice to see a familiar face. Especially one that's as fabulous as mine." He tried to hide his smirk and failed miserably, "And I guess Mir's." He giggled. Well, they were a few minutes early, at least. They could have a little chat.
Miranda nudged Clark lightly with her elbow when he attached her to his comment belatedly. Keegan meanwhile smiled friendly like to the pair when they reached the table. Clark was too easily liked instantly, and while Miranda had been friendly enough when they first met, Keegan was still cautious about allowing herself to so easily get close to her peers. "Hi."
"Hi, sweetie," Clark replied, sitting down beside Keegan, leaving a seat beside him, or Logan, for Miranda to sit in if she wanted to stay near the group. Hey, at least she had options! "What're you two being all conspiratorial about?"
"We're not being conspiratorial, Logan was just helping me with a song." Keegan said not wanting Clark or Miranda to think anything was up with her and Logan that they might be trying to hide. Collecting the sheet music and written song lyrcis, Keegan moved to stuff them into her backpack.
"Don't mind him, Keegan," Miranda started as she took the seat next to Logan, "Clark here tends to be overly nosey more often then not." The red head flashed a playful grin over to her BFF.
"It's true," Clark nodded sternly. "I get it from my mom." He narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "Actually, I get a lot from her. I wonder if that's why people keep asking if I'm gay..." Gee, Clark, ya think?!
Logan laughed and claimed one of Miranda's hands, setting her palm on his knee so he could draw a little design on the back of her hand. Yep. Without asking permission on anything. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."
"You know you two would make the perfect couple." Miranda blurted out softly with a little bit of a laugh as she glanced down at her hand that Logan was doodling on. She had grown accustomed to both guys little quirks that it had become habit for her to not say anything.
"I think it just make you a more sensitive guy. Some girls like that in a guy." Keegan found herself speaking up then to offer her opinion.
Logan thwapped the back of Miranda's hand playfully and grinned at her. "Cheeky," he replied, before going back to drawing on her hand. Today, he'd decided on a blue sun.
"That's what I think!" Clark said to Keegan cheerfully and just HAD to add: "My girlfriend... Bethany Bale—If you haven't met her, you should met her, she's GORGEOUS—AGREES that that's why I'm so sensitive and sweet." He beamed proudly.
"My middle name." Miranda replied back with a smirk to the guy.
"Bethany's a lucky girl." Keegan told Clark with a smile. And because he had the same last name as Clark's girlfriend, Keegan was curious enough to ask. "Is she related to Brandon Bale?" Keegan then glanced briefly over toward Miranda and Logan to see just what it was the boy was drawing on the back of the girl's hand.
"They're cousins," Clark replied with a certain nod. "I swear there must be something in that family's blood. They're all beautiful and talented in some way. I don't think that there's a Bale that I've met that isn't nice." He dear. He was starting to babble. He was in love, okay? Leave him alone!
Logan noticed that Keegan took an interest in what he was doing and tilted Miranda's hand over to show the girl the final product – a blue sun over a small field of flowers. He smiled and gave the blonde a wink, before offering Miranda the pen he'd been using. "Fair's fair."
"I'd like to meet her then." Keegan said. If she were anything like her cousin, as Clark seemed to have just expressed, then she had to be a nice girl. Especially if she was going out with Clark. The blond smiled in return when Logan sent her a smile and showed her what he had doodled on the back of Miranda's hand.
"You know you could live to regret this." Miranda smirked to Logan as she took the pen from him quick enough so he'd not be able to reconsider. The red head soon had the guy's hand within her own and drawing on the back of it in blue ink.
"That'd be great!" Clark beamed. He of all people knew that Bethany could use more friends. "I'll let her know and see if we can arrange something soon," he promised. "Are you partial to any outdoor activities, at all?"
Logan laughed and rolled his eyes. "Luckily if it's anything offensive, it can be easily washed off," he pointed out to Miranda. "Not that you'd ever do something like that, though," he teased her.
"Okay." Keegan smiled softly. "And none really." Offering the boy the sad, but honest truth. It had been so long since she had done any teenager stuff that Keegan wasn't sure what she still might enjoy doing.
"Me?" Mir said looking at the boy all innocent like. "I haven't got an evil bone in my body." She grinned as she continued drawing on the back of Logan's hand.
"That's okay! I'm sure we can think of something fun to do. Maybe mini-golf, or going to the beach?" He suggested sweetly. "Or a movie... or something. Sorry to get all excited at you. I just think we'll all have a good time."
Logan smirked and glanced up at Miranda, watching the expression on her face for a moment, before glancing down at his hand again. "Luckily..."
"Just don't go shopping with the boy, Keegan," Miranda piped up having been listening to the conversation as well as paying attention to what Logan directed her way, "he'll have you dressed in a whole new wardrobe before the day is out." Then with a few more strokes of the pen, Miranda sat up a bit straighter offering the pen back to Logan. "Viola!" She grinned. And while she was no artist extraordinaire, at least her inked rendition of a musical note was recognizable.
"Awww, why'd you have to say that! It's part of the fun!" Clark pouted over at Miranda playfully, before giving Keegan a sweet smile. "Not to worry. I won't make you do anything that you don't want to do."
Logan looked down at his hand and gave an impressed nod as he took back his pen. "I like it."
"Be forewarned, Keegan. Shopping with Clark equals bag loads of clothes." Miranda said sticking out her tongue at Clark before giving a playful wink to Keegan. "Figured you're a musical kind of guy, so gave you something to represent that." Miranda directed to Logan then with a smile.
"I could probably use another outfit in my wardrobe." Keegan said to Clark finding the playful banter between him and Miranda quite amusing. It just seemed so natural to the blond.
Clark practically beamed at Keegan and it looked as though Logan was about to say something when their teacher, Winifred Burkle, entered the room in a floral print dress. "Wow. Looks like we have a few additions this week. Welcome!" She beamed. "Who'd like t'get us started?"
