Lilly Made a Fwiend!!!
Who: Lilly and Sandy, featuring Andrew
Where: Shooting Star Comics
When: March, 8th, Late Afternoon
If someone didn't know? It looked like maybe some model or something was helping out with promotion at Shooting Star Comics. After all, why else would a statuesque beauty like Sandy Gordon be sitting at one of the tables in the middle of the store, looking like some kind of centerfold in her cleavagey dress, literally surrounded by a virtual mountain of comic books, toys, and RPG books? Sigh... we know where this is going, huh. "ANDREWWWWWWWW! Did you find that Lord of the Rings RPG book I asked you about yeeeeeet?"
Andrew came out of the back, holding the RPG book that she was wanting. "Yep, found it right here, actually. Someone had buried it at the bottom of a box," he said, dropping it off at the table for her.
Lilly had come in and was looking through the back RPG section for anything that caught her eye. While she didn't get to play very often, she did love to collect books always.
Oh my GOD what a dork Sandy was. She bounced up and down a few times (which was a LOVELY image) and grinned cutely. "Thank you honeyyyyyy!" She squealed and set it on one of the piles. Oh my god... was she BUYING all this?
Lilly actually did happen to catch that. Very nice, she had to say. "That's quite a pile there," she said, glancing over the stack of stuff Sandy had on her table.
"Oh! Yes. I kinda got a couple weeks behind." WEEKS? REALLY? Oh my god. "Plus I needed some new RPG books, and then I kinda got a little distracted by some of the Marvel toys, and now I'm gonna have to have my sister pick me up in the van to fit it all."
Lilly chuckled. "Wow...you know, I already have most of that." Lilly's apartment (the one room studio place) mainly had her drum set and stacks of RPG books in it, and there was a TV and fold out sofa somewhere in there, too, we're sure. She wasn't a housekeeper, OK? "You really think you need a van to fit it all?"
"Well, I have about 150 comics, 11 gaming books, and then quite a few big boxes for the toys. Yes... I had to break and buy the big box set of the Fantastic Four figures that has Dr. Doom and Galactus." Oh god, how did someone so hot become so nerdy? HOW?
By the grace of god? If Lilly wasn't completely in love with Paige, she'd be ALL OVER this girl in a heartbeat. "Didn't realize you had QUITE that much." Lilly hadn't exactly done any counting. "What RPG books did you get?"
"The couple of Lord of the Rings books that are out, a few Star Wars guides, a D&D players guide, some independent Zombie game, and a Star Trek game." She said it proudly, like someone showing off their damn KIDS.
Lilly smirked. "If you can find it, there's an 'Army of Darkness' RPG out there that's at least hilarious for a good read," she said. "I've also got a book called 'Scared Stiff' that's about B-horror movies that's rare as hell."
"Oooo!" Sandy squealed, grinning like an idiot. "I found an old, rare set of the original Marvel Comics RPG a few months ago. Tryin' to find some people to play that one. I wanna get a classic X-Men campaign going. I'm Sandy, by the way. Sandy Gordon. Nice to meetcha!"
"If I can be Rogue, count me in," Lilly said, smiling at the girl. "And I'm Lilly Maymin. Pleasure's mind." Damn this girl was adorable. Paige would have to be shown soon.
"I've heard your name, and I cannot think of WHERE!" She grinned, seemingly oblivious to her utter hotness. "But yes! As soon as I can get a few people, I'll totally include you!"
"I'm in a band that plays at Avarice and Eden a lot," Lilly said simply. She was just one of those types that didn't pimp that she was becoming a kind of famous person. What could you do? "And you should advertise here. I'm sure you can get enough people all over it. I'm kind of surprised Andrew hasn't mauled you over it yet."
"I think Andrew and the others here just kind of put up with me because I spend lots of money here." She said simply. Hey, she knew she could be a little (a lot) obnoxious with her nerdiness.
"Considering I'm pretty sure Andrew probably also looks down your blouse when you're not paying attention, I kind of doubt that." Lilly just had a bad opinion about men, even harmless ones like Andrew.
"Come on... I'm nothing THAT great..." Sandy blushed, looking down at the ground then, her feet shuffling cutely. "I mean, thank you though..."
Lilly chuckled. "Really? You looked in a mirror as of late?" Why did Lilly get the feeling that this girl had an awkward youth and still pictures herself looking like that? "You're great looking. Anyways, I'm sure Andrew's happy to help you out either way."
"He's nicer than Bette, anyway. She NEVER listens to me! I try explaining to her that just because an issue is touted as being the First Appearance of a character doesn't make it the OFFICIAL first appearance, because a simple one-panel cameo in the issue before DOES technically constitute a first appearance, but do you think she listens to me? Nooooo, she just acts like she knows evvvvverything!"
Lilly laughed again. OK, past her hotness, this girl was kind adorable. "Well, then I suggest making sure to deal more with Andrew whenever possible." While she did see the epic sissy slap fight that Andrew got into with another guy once, she knew that he would barely be able to speak to girls, much less argue with them.
"He and Cassie are MUCH nicer than Bette, seriously. Cassie's even helping me find someone who makes costumes, so I can get my Halloween costume for this year made." Sandy said excitedly, giving a LITTLE too much jiggle when she did.
Somehow, Lilly managed to not stare this time. Well, at least she managed to not drool, anyway. "What costume are you making, anyway?"
Sandy quickly opened an issue of Bird of Prey, grinning as she held up a picture of The Huntress. "Right here... I loooooooove her."
"Definitely nice," Lilly said, arching an eyebrow at the photo. "Make sure to take pictures of you in it," she added playfully.
Sadly? She didn't even REGISTER that Lilly was hitting on her. "TOTALLY! I would never go through all that trouble and not take photos. I'm trying to get some people to go as Oracle and Black Canary, but no dice so far."
"Hmm...I could maybe do an Oracle," Lilly said. "I'd have to wear a wig, but it could definitely be fun." Plus, Paige would laugh her ass off. Always fun.
"That would be awesome! We should hang out sometime, maybe plan an RPG or something! I could totally show you my comics collection!" Oh my GOD it was like Sandy was 12.
And all of this was exciting to Lilly, and NOT just because Sandy was totally hot. "We should definitely plan an RPG. I've been dying to get something up and running for MONTHS." Hey, everyone had their ways to unwind. Lilly's was making characters and playing them.
"Yes!" Sandy exclaimed, more excited to actually MAYBE be making a friend than anything. "Should I give you my number or something? That way if you want to hang or something, YOU can call ME?" That was her nice way of basically saying 'if you decide I'm lame, I cant pester you'.
"Sure," Lilly said. "Why don't I give you my number, too? Kinda busy with band practice and all, but when I'm available, I'd love to hang out with you and all." Hey, someone to get nerdy with? Why would Lilly turn that down?
"OK!" Sandy exclaimed excitedly, a HUUUGE grin on her face as she actually clapped her hands. "I'm gonna go get my collection in some kind of understandable order, and I'll call you in the next couple days!"
"Awesome," Lilly said with a grin. Damn if she wasn't looking forward to this. She may have even of made a friend. Shock and dismay.
