Setting a Date
Who: Ginny and Hanna
Where: Avarice
When: Feb. 26th, Evening
What the hell was going on around here, hm? What kind of world were we living in when, rather than sitting in Eden, dressed like some goth goddess, Ginny Callaway was instead in the heavy metal haven of Avarice, clad in tight blue jeans, black combat boots, a black leather jacket over a red Runaways tee, and with her hair teased like she was in some old-school rock video? Anyway... looking HAPPY for once, the curvy beauty was slowly nursing a glass of wine, just letting the music soak in. Maybe she was thinking of ideas?
Hanna was actually out in the crowd, dancing her cute little butt off. She had recently bleached her hair blond (and it wasn't according to the rumor that her recent crush happened to like blonds, no siree), and was rocking out in a ripped t-shirt and matching ripped jeans that both looked like they were being held together more by safety pins than actual cloth. Didn't matter, though. She was hot and she knew it. Right now she was jamming out to some punk rock that was playing.
And well now. When Ginny finally caught sight of Hanna, she actually caught herself checking the girl out with a very Meredith-esque leer for a few moments before realizing who it was! After almost doing a spit-take,Ginny just kept on watching her until she was done, waiting at the bar to see if the DJ would notice her...
Everyone should leer more like Mere. It's just fun. When Hanna did notice Ginny, she gave the girl a big wave and headed over. Hey, she didn't realize that Ginny WENT to Avarice, much less knew to look for her if she did. "Hey!" she said, sitting down next to her at the bar. "You look terrific, I must say. Definitely got a Joan Jett thing going tonight."
"Me? Check YOU out... you got the whole blonde thing goin' for you... looks fantastic." This was bad, wasn't it? How much of an influence Mere seems to have been in terms of getting Ginny to come out of her shell more socially?
Well, if Hanna knew what it was that was making Ginny be more forward, she wouldn't complain one bit. Totally not one itty bitty bit. "Thanks," Hanna said with a grin. When one of the bartenders came by, she ordered herself a glass of soda. "Figured I needed a bit of a change. Done the dark thing, now going with a light thing."
"Whatever the reason... you look great. Come sit with me? Been thinking about you, actually." She had, too. Seemed that lately, other than her music, her every thought had been about either Hanna or Kate.
"Can't say I haven't been doing the same about you," Hanna said with a smirk, more than happy to park by Ginny for a spell or twelve. "Been thinking about letting me take you out for a date then?"
"I say that's a definite yes. I'm ready to try dating again. Granted, this makes only the second date I've actually ACCEPTED, but hey! I'm trying!" She laughed, a little blush tinting those cheeks.
Hanna started laughing. "Awesome," she said to Ginny. "Because I've been DYING to take you out for a while." Hanna was up front if anything. "Now where's your favorite place to go?"
"Here's where I lose TONS of cool points. I... don't really go many places. When I'm not at Eden, or practicing or writing... I'm usually just relaxing at home. I'm... kind of a homebody." Yep. Ginny felt like a fucking OLD WOMAN right now.
"So, go with a traditional dinner and a movie then? Maybe even some making out during the movie if it's rubbish?" Hanna suggested playfully. Ginny really did need to get out more.
"Show up looking like this and I'm likely to say yes to that last part even if the movie ISN'T rubbish." She muttered under her breath, laughing as she rested her chin on her hand. "I gotta say... I'm a lucky girl. I haven't felt so... wanted in a long time."
"Well good! That's the fun part of dating. Feeling like you're wanted!" Hanna said with another laugh. OK, so she DEFINITELY looked forward to the hope of making out with this girl. Ginny kind of was her dream girl, after all.
"I mean this in a GOOD way, but you're like... one of the most forward girls I know." She giggled a little, fidgeting nervously. "You're like my friend Paige... only a lot nicer."
Hanna just laughed. "Well, I've always had the opinion that you should just tell the truth instead of beating around the bush. My mother brought me up that way." She grinned. "Besides, it's not like I have anything bad to say about you."
"Truth, huh? Ok then... honesty-time." Ginny said, raising an eyebrow. "Would you have been interested in me if I *wasn't* a singer?"
Hanna acted as if she was thinking on it for a moment. "You're still hot and nice sooo....YES I'd totally still be interested in you. I love music, don't get me wrong, but that's like a periphery interest when it comes to you. Doesn't make it any less hot that you ARE a singer, though."
"Good answer." Ginny said with a satisfied laugh. "God, I cannot stop looking at you! I feel like such a perv!"
"Hey, I like you looking at me, so, if it makes you pervy, I don't mind!" Hanna told her, laughing again. "I mean, I adore looking at you, after all. We can always just be pervs together!"
"God, my friend is such a bad influence. I used to be so focused on nothing but music, but lately she's got me thinking about stuff like this!" Yep. ANOTHER blush.
"You say that like it's a bad thing," Hanna said. "I mean, having a focus on your music is great and all, but you can't live your life strictly for one thing. You've got to have variety. It's the spice of life and all that!"
"I suspect you're going to be a wonderful influence in my life, Hanna." Ginny said, as if deciding that right here and now. "I need people to remind me to have FUN with my life. Between you and Meredith... I don't see that being a problem anymore."
"Well, I hope I'm a big ball full of fun for you," Hanna said with a smirk. "And I feel a little like a goober for putting it that way, but you know what I mean. I like having a good time, and hopefully I can help you have a good time as well.
"Well... as long as you don't get bored easily. Like I said... I'm not exactly a party animal." The brunette laughed, rolling her eyes.
"I highly doubt that you could EVER bore me," Hanna said. She was more than certain that she'd love spending every minute with Ginny.
