Who: Ronan & Introducing Lenore Burke
Where: The streets → a diner → Ronan's apartment
When: Monday, February 21st, evening
Rating: PG
Lenore was starving! Her last decent meal had been three days when she'd had lunch at the diner she worked at waitressing, a job which sucked, but Lennie made the most of it because it beat living on the streets starving. Kind of like she was doing now. The downside of opening a portal and being unprepared for the trip.
She hadn't wanted to resort to the usual tactics; Begging, borrowing, and selling herself. Lenore hated doing the last, her mother raised her better than that, but the woman, Goddess rest her soul, hadn't really expected her daughter to be living occasionally on the streets. Lennie obviously didn't know anyone here, so there was no one to trust not to pull a double-cross on her. So, she resorted to stealing before doing anything more drastic.
The druid spotted an attractive blond outside a club with a group of his friends it looked like. If hunger pangs weren't distracting her, she would've noticed that his aura was slightly different than the others around him, not to mention he had an air about him that said not to mess with him. But Lenore was too hungry to notice these things and, pulling her hoodie around her, concentrated on discreetly using her ability to move things with her Will to part his wallet from the man.
Ronan was standing with a couple of the other guards outside of the club. They'd taken the evening out, the girls both saying that they'd be staying in at the house, so they'd left a couple of guards there, and the rest of them went out that night to blow off some steam. Dressed in a pair of slacks and a button down black shirt, his golden blond hair stood out from most of the crowd, because of the length. Falling down below his shoulders. But he'd glamoured it so that it was more blond than golden.
He felt his wallet moving and put his hand over his back pocket, before turning around, his eyes flashing tricolored as he looked around for the culprit.
Oh, blast it! Lenore mentally cursed as her mark turned, his gaze searching the crowd. She was too far away to see his eyes; If the girl had been closer, his gaze would've tipped her off immediately as to what he was and Lennie would've lost any gumption she had in taking his wallet. One didn't steal from a faerie and live to tell the tale. Or so the stories went.
A sigh of frustration was expelled; She'd have to get closer. The druid was too tired to concentrate at the distance she was at. Threading her way through the crowd, she was only a few bodies away and concentrated again, her usually chocolate brown gaze flashing to a golden brown as her Will subtly pulled the wallet again and her hand discreetly lifted to catch it if it came from it's owner.
Ronan had felt the subtle magic the first time and hadn't understood where it came from. He'd have been told if other of the fae had come to Los Angeles. He blinked letting his eyes bleed to solid green, not liking to be looked at as strange in the human world.
He felt another subtle tug on his wallet and let it go, before following it to the woman, moving quickly, he grabbed her hand and arched a brow. "I take it you're a tricky little witch." he said plucking the wallet out of her hand.
For a second she could See him and it took everything she had not rip her hand free and rabbit. For a second, her eyes went wide as saucers until she feinted shame (which really wasn't a big leap for her, because she was a little ashamed at resorting to such extremes, not to mention getting caught).
Lenore didn't exactly look like a tough young woman with her soft curve and cute face; She used it to her advantage when she could, such as now. Her head tilted down, lower lip bitten nervously as her other hand subtly went for the knife she always kept on her person. A Druid without a knife on them might as well roll over and die if they were marked.
Her hand closed on the hilt and without hesitation, Lennie whipped her hand up to slice him. If nothing else, at least the action would give her a chance to flee as she spun on her heel and darted away from the man with the pretty blond hair.
He knew better than to judge a book by its cover. Rozenwyn and Andais both had the look of innocence and softness, but were both deadly as a viper. He saw her pull the knife and took a step back as she whipped her hand up to slice him, He was taken aback by that and let go of her hand, before gaining his wits. He ran after her, motioning to the other guards that he had it, so that they would not follow. He was curious about what was going on.
As soon as she broke free of the crowd, she chanced a glance backward and not seeing her pursuer immediately, Lenore breathed a momentary sigh of relief. Flipping the hood of her jacket over her head, she slowed down but she still hurried along, acting as if she had someplace to be. Shoving her hands into the pockets of the jacket, she glanced back again just before ducking into the alley she'd snuck out of.
He watched her duck into the alley way and grabbed her by the back of her jacket whenever he caught up with her. "I'd like to know what the hell you are. And just exactly why you tried to cut me." he said as he looked down at her. "If it was just about Money, you could have just asked."
At the pull on her jacket, Lenore screeched and whirled with her knife at the ready once again. The tug, however, left her off balance and when she moved Lenore tripped when she took a step backward and fell, hitting her head against the side of the Dumpster. Well, if his demanding questions hadn't stopped her, the pain blossoming at the back of her head certainly threw all notion of rabbiting out of her mind.
She grimaced and lifted a hand to check the back of her head. When she pulled it away, blessedly, there was no blood so she obviously hadn't hit it hard enough. That still didn't mean it hadn't hurt. It took her a moment to get her bearings enough to quip back with a snort, "Right, because a faerie is going to be charitable out of the kindness of it's heart."
He stepped back whenever she whirled with her knife, letting go of her, and made a face whenever she fell. He sighed as he crouched down and looked at her. "Are you alright?" he asked first before holding his hand out to her to help her up. "I won't hurt you. Just because I'm fae does not mean that I'm going to harm you." he said arching a brow at her. "And you don't know if I'd give you money or not without asking. I'm not like the others."
While she had Seen places like this in her dreams, Lenore had no idea that the fae were different here. She had no idea that Ronan wouldn't tattle to the nearest Seeker, however, since he obviously wasn't going to harm her she relaxed. But not by much.
She declined the use of his hand out of stubbornness (like she needed a fae's help) and got to her feet, checking the back of her head again. Finally she looked at him and answered shortly, "I'm fine." Well, that wasn't entirely true. She was still starving, her stomach betraying her by grumbling and loudly. Lenore folded her hands in front of her, looking away.
He watched her as she stood up. Hearing her stomach growl, he cocked his head to the side. "Come on, I'll get you something to eat at one of the resturants." he said as he looked at her. "Before your stomach starts digesting you from the inside out."
Lenore glared at Ronan's backside as she mentally threw out the word, Arrogant!, at him. While it was common among the Druid to communicate with one another Telepathically, she didn't know whether or not other fae could do that as well. They were, afterall, incredibly secretive of their magic unless you had an immediate faerie relative in your family. It was just like a fae to assume that Lenore would take his offer of food without question.
The galling part, however, was that Lennie was too hungry not to consider it. She hesitated a moment before she blurted out, "Your Word that you won't harm me or report me to the Authorities."
He looked at her and arched a brow as he looked down at her. "What Authorities? Here, I'm one of the only authorities of my kind." he said as he looked at her. "So unless I'm going to report you to myself, it would do me no good. And I do not intend to harm you unless you attempt to stab me or slash me again."
As quick as it appeared, the confusion that marred her brow was gone. Lenore couldn't let him know that she was confused. She didn't know where the portal had taken her, but it certainly wasn't anywhere in Avalon that was for sure. Maybe...Maybe she had actually left the realm! The Goddess' good fortune was kind enough to give Lennie a reprieve from the nightmare she'd been thrust into three years ago. The Druid breathed in deeply to steady herself and said, "Okay. I accept your offer."
He nodded his head. "Come on then, let's go and get you some food before you go and pass out on me," Ronan said as he tucked his hands in his pockets. He wasn't too worried about her hurting him. He was an immortal warrior. He had his senses alert, but he wasn't worried about her hurting him, just figuring out what to do with her. He couldn't just turn her loose on the city to pick other people's pockets.
Lennie shot him one grateful look before bending to pick up her knife and hide it away. While relations before Uther's treachery with some the fae were on peaceful terms, that didn't mean they didn't have their slippery moments. Faerie were notorious for weaseling their way out of nearly anything and while Lenore would trust her life with her fae relatives, it was always smart to be alert around unfamiliar faerie's.
She followed after Ronan, shoving her hands in the pockets of her hoodie while she stuck close to the faerie. Like it or not, he was pretty much the only person she knew in this place. Until she figured things out, Ronan was probably the only person that would keep her safe for the time being.
He walked with her down the street. "What sort of food do you want? Cause there's an all night diner on the next block." he said as he looked over at her. "Would that be cool or are you wanting something specific?" He was always the kind of man that would take care of a woman, and even though she was more than capable of taking care of herself, she was obviously not from around there, and had to be broke, so he felt like he should take care of her.
Now that she wasn't fearing for her life, and with the prospect of food in her belly, Lenore was a little more personable. A smile curved her lips, her eyes squeezing into little half moons almost, "Any food is good right about now." She giggled, "I could eat a horse right now, I'm that hungry."
He nodded his head as he glanced over at the dark haired girl. "Well we'll get you some chow and then you can tell me where you're from, and how you know about what I am..."
Lenore looked curiously at him when Ronan said she could tell him where she came from after she'd eaten, confirming her suspicions that she was no longer in Avalon anymore. That put her mind at further ease. Finally, she could breathe easy, relax and not fear that tonight would be her last. She smiled at him, her cheeks forming cute dimples, "Deal." Lenore then pulled the hand closest to the fae out of the hoodie's pocket, "I'm Lenore, by the way. My friends call me Lennie, though."
He took her hand and shook it. "I'm Ronan. Most don't shorten my name, but you can call me Ro if you wish." he said as he walked with her. When they neared the door of the deli, he held open the door and let her walk in front of him. "Ladies first," he said with a small smile.
The fae had a good, firm handshake. One could tell a lot from a person's handshake and taking her hand back, Lenore said aloud, "Ronan. Ro." Her nose scrunched and she giggled again, the piercings under her lower lip winking in the light, "That's a nice name. I like it." At his polite invitation, Lenore hesitated for a brief second before stepping ahead of him and to one side so he walk in as well. Despite having tried to pick his pocket not long before, this was the safest Lennie had felt in a long, long time.
He smiled. "Thank you, Lennie," he said as he looked at her. He followed her in and nodded towards the booths. "Let's sit over there away from the other people. Don't want the humans to overhear us and think that we're crazy."
The Druid looked sharply at Ronan and then leaned in close to murmur, "You mean...they don't know what you are?" She asked just before sliding into the booth opposite Ronan, a look of utter fascination on her face.
he slid into the booth and shook his head as he looked at her. "They can't see past my glamour. I'm just slightly more than a little handsome, and my eyes are just green, not tricolored... they can't see the reality." he said as he looked at her and shrugged.
Lenore gaped at Ronan until she realized she had her mouth open and quickly clapped in shut. The Druid blushed and grabbed what she assumed was the menu and hid behind it. It was so strange to see a faerie disguising himself where the fae in Avalon lived openly! She lowered her menu just enough to take a peek at Ronan over the top. Well...he was certainly right in the being handsome department!
He watched her gape at him and arched a brow. He was used to living behind the glamour whenever he was out amongst the humans. He'd only ever lived openly as a fae with his first wife and back home in faerie.
She fiddled with her glasses as Lenore put the menu down on the table and perused it. The girl happened upon a entree she was not familiar with, tilting her head, "What is this...'Mac 'n Cheese?'" Lennie looked up from her menu to inquisitively stare back at Ronan.
He smiled as he looked at her. "Mac 'n Cheese is little elbow noodles with cheese sauce and occasionally bread crumbs." he said as he looked at her. "it is indulgent and very good." he said as his smile spread wider.
"Hmm..." Lenore narrowed her eyes thoughtfully, her mouth sliding a tad crookedly while she debated and then shut her menu. Her lips curved into a cute grin as she did so, setting her menu aside, and dropped her chin into her hands, "So..."
He watched her for a moment. "So what?" he asked as he looked at her, his brow arching. He waved over the waitress and orderd himself a cup of coffee and a piece of pie.
"So..." Lenore laughed, "I take it you're a fan of this 'Mac 'n Cheese?' Judging by that grin you just had on your face, that is." She then grew quiet as the waitress took Ronan's order and then Lennie ordered the very thing they were talking about and water.
He nodded his head. "I enjoy Mac and cheese." he said smiling. "I rarely get to eat it unless I'm out in the human realm." he said as he looked at her.
As Ronan spoke, the waitress returned with Lenore's glass of water to which she smiled and thanked the woman. Her fingers curved around the cool glass and she took a sip, feeling the crisp water run down her throat. At the words, 'human realm,' Lenore looked curiously at Ronan again, "So...the fae and humans don't openly exist with one another here?"
He shook his head as he looked at her. "Not completely. Some of us do live out here and we do enjoy living amongst the humans. But the fae here live in faerie, and the humans live in the human realm."
She glanced to the others in the restaurant and returned her gaze to the faerie, "Do they know of your existence?"
He shook his head. "No, they don't. They wouldn't believe if I wasn't covered in glamour that I was anything more than a very odd and attractive person." he said shrugging. "They believe what they wish to believe."
Lenore giggled when Ronan said the others would just think him a very odd, yet attractive person. The girl could hardly think another fae odd, but then again, she'd been growing up around them all her life! That news, however, was also a bit sad because it meant that her hope of once again being who she was would have to remain hidden.
Pretty soon, however, all sad thoughts vanished as their food arrived and after a tentative taste of a fork full of the noodles and cheesy sauce, Lennie practically inhaled her food. With gusto, she ate every bit that was on her plate and probably looked like some sort of heathen doing so, but the Goddess be damned! She was hungry, damn it!
He smiled as he ate along with her. He enjoyed his pie, and sipped his coffeee. He was completely relaxed. "You should slow down, kiddo. You're going to make yourself sick." he said with a soft shake of his head.
Kiddo? Lenore quirked a brow at Ronan as she momentarily paused in consuming her food. She looked down at her plate and then at herself as a blush rose on her cheeks, "Sorry...I haven't had anything to eat in three days." Lennie set her fork down and sat back in the booth a moment as she pondered something. Considering how old the fae could get, she probably was deserving of a such a nickname as "kiddo." Always the optimistic one, Lenore shoved her somber thoughts aside and returned to polishing off her meal.
He smiled as he looked at her. "Smoke's coming out of your ears?" he said, a questioning tone to his voice. He watched her and ran his fingers through his hair as he swallowed more of his coffee.
A forkful of mac 'n cheese was mere centimeters away from her mouth when Ronan teased her, his words deepening the blush still on her cheeks. "What!? N-no..." Lennie shoved the morsel of food into her mouth and looked away as she chewed furiously.
He smiled as he looked at her. "what are you thinking so hard about?" he asked as he looked at her. He chewed the last of his pie.
"Well," Lennie started to confess, that blush still on her cheeks, "I was thinking it was kind of odd that you called me kiddo." She looked up then, "I mean, I'm 23. Not exactly a kid, but um..." Lenore smiled and laughed softly, "I guess in this case, I probably am to you."
He couldn't help but chuckle at that. "Yea, you could be a couple hundred years old and I'd still be able to call you kiddo..." he said as he shrugged.
"Wow," Lenore said in some awe, staring at him across the table before wolfing down the rest of her meal. As she washed the last of the mac 'n cheese down with her water, she wondered just how old Ronan was, but decided not to voice her inner thoughts on this. Well, unless he asked. He seemed rather sociable for a faerie that she just met; They tended to be so secretive. Pushing her empty plate away, she stretched and let out a completely satisfied sigh. Now she just needed a hot shower and a bed and Lennie would just about reach perfection!
He watched her as she sat there completely satisfied. "Where are you from?" he asked a little curious about the girl who knew what he was. And who seemed to be able to see through his glamour, at least partially. "And where are you living here?"
At his questions, Lenore folded her hands on top of the table and looked down at them a moment in silence before lifting her gaze to meet his green one, "I'm from a place called Avalon." When the question of where she was staying came up, Lennie kind of squirmed in her seat, not really wishing to admit that she had no where to stay. But, if she said anything else, the Druid had a pretty good idea he'd know if she was lying, "And...I'm not staying anywhere."
He arched a brow as he looked at her. "Avalon? Like the stories about Arthur?" He watched her as she seemed to fidget. "I have an apartment here... I don't use it much, you can stay there if you wish..."
Chocolate brown eyes blinked in surprised when Ronan mentioned Arthur. But before she asked him of the prince, she shot him a grateful look, "Thank you...I really don't relish sleeping another night in an abandoned building." She then looked a bit suspiciously at him, "You're being awfully nice to someone who tried to not only pick your pocket, but tried cutting you, too. But, whatever." She said, waving aside her last comment to ask, "So...you know about Arthur Pendragon?"
He shrugged. "I have lived far too long to hold what you did against me," he said as he watched her. "Most people here know something of him, the tales of Arthur and the knights of the round table are a favorite myth here."
A bark of laughter burst forth at Ronan's words and Lennie clapped a hand over her mouth to stifle the rest of it. Calming herself, the girl cleared her throat and shook her head, "I'm sorry...but that cannot be the same Arthur Pendragon. Since his first birthday, he and his mother Igraine have been missing." Lenore shook her head again, "There is no round table or Knights," the Druid chuckled over that. However, she quickly sobered and her gaze dropped to her clasped hands again, "I hope he returns soon, though. Uther's treachery needs to end."
He watched her. "Perhaps this world's stories are merely a wish from your world. One of my work partners was once this world's god of thunder. And another a former god of fire." he said with a shrug.
Lenore shrugged, "Perhaps." She lifted her gaze again, "There is a prophecy, however, concerning Arthur. He has until the end of his 18th year to return to Avalon and reclaim his rightful place as prince. If he doesn't...Mordred will be named heir in Arthur's place."
He nodded his head. "Have faith little one. Things always happen for a reason. Just as you attempted to pick my pocket for a reason."
She shrugged, "It's getting hard, Ronan. I'm not...sure if I can go back if..." Lenore shrugged again and then forced herself to smile, "But, if I'm not in Avalon, that means I'm not being hunted, so that's a good thing, right?"
He watched her and nodded his head. "No you won't be hunted here... and that is a good thing. I can offer you my protection, if you'd accept it. I know that not all fae are known to live by their word, but I am one of the princess' ravens. And in my world, my word is my bond." he said as he looked down at his coffee.
"I don't know if I can run anymore, anyway," Lennie admitted and then said, "Any help that I could get would be greatly appreciated." It was kind of cute how chivalrous Ronan was, a thought that made her smile.
He nodded his head. "We will get you situated at my apartment then. It is not far from the beach nor from the house that I'm in... and we will get you a cell phone so that you can call me if you need me." he said as he watched her.
Her head tilted at the mention of 'cellphone,' and Lenore quirked a brow. She had no idea what he was talking about; While Avalon had some technology, they obviously had some catching up to do. When she'd first gotten here, the cars would have been a lot more scary if she hadn't Seen them in a vision. A thought occurred to her and she asked, "Um, Ronan...why do you have an apartment if you live in a house?"
He noticed the tilt of her head and the eyebrow raise and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and pushed it across the table to her. "That's a cell phone. Its an electronic way of contacting someone, so that you can talk without being next to one another." he said as he pursed his lips. When she asked about his apartment, he shrugged as he looked at her. "Mostly so that I can escape sometimes. I live with my charge and her cousin and five other guards. Sometimes, its just a bit much," he said as he fiddled with his coffee cup.
The Druid picked up the cell phone with some fascination, turning the device over in her hands as she listened and jerked her head up. A delighted expression was on her face, "Neat!" Lennie slid the device back to him, folding her arms across the table as she noticed Ronan filddle with his coffee mug. It dawned on her that she'd selfishly taken him away from his friends and she blushed at that, "I'm sure you'd like to get back to your friends..."
He shook his head. "Nah. they're fine without me. They had dragged me out against my will. Besides, I'm sure that you don't want to just sit here until they're done with me... let's get you home." he said as he picked up their check and slid out of the booth. He walked over to the register and paid their bill before handing their waitress some money for a tip, rather than leaving it on the table.
She got up to follow him, looking curiously about her at the other patrons of the restaurant. As Lenore followed him outside to the street, she pulled her hoodie about her against the slight chill and said, "Won't they be worried about you though? I mean," the druid laughed a little, "You kind of ran off chasing after me."
He smiled as he looked at her. "I'm sure that if they're worried about me they'll call." he said as he tucked his phone into his pocket. "Knowing them... they probably think that I saw a pretty girl and got a much better offer." He said tucking his hands into his pockets as well. "The apartment isn't far from here... I'm not particuarly fond of cars, so you won't find me too far from home usually."
A laugh was pulled from Lenore's lips, "Do you make it a habit to literally chase after women?" She teased and breathed a small sigh of relief. Lennie wasn't too sure she wanted to ride in a car; They were awfully loud and noisy, who knew what they were like on the inside?
He shook his head with a chuckle. "No, but Mistral, one of the men that I was with does." He said shrugging. He smiled as he walked next to her. He glanced over at her. "I'm probably the least likely out of all of us to just run off with a random woman, but doesn't mean that's not what they think is happening."
Lenore grinned, knowing a few fae and humans who constantly liked to chase skirts. She giggled and replied, "Mistral sounds like he'd be fun." Having that kind of fun was good on occasion, but Lennie couldn't do it all the time. But, she liked the fact that Ronan wasn't like that and asked, "So what are you going to tell them about me?" She teased.
He looked over at her. "Um... I won't lie to them if that was what you were implying. Just that you are not from around here, and that I have offered you shelter, and friendship." He said as he walked up to the front door of an apartment building and unlocked it, holding the door open for her. "In you go." He said nodding through the door.
The Druid laughed, turning in the doorway and walking backward as she shook her head, "That's not what I was implying at all." Lenore turned back around and then teased him again over her shoulder, "I was just curious as to what you were going to tell your friends," she shrugged and waited for him.
He walked in behind her and smiled. "They won't really ask too much at all." he said smiling at her. "I hope you don't mind stairs, because the apartment is on the top floor and I don't ride elevators." he said as he opened the fire door to the stairwell.
A smile curved her lips and she flopped her arms against her sides, "That's alright, I haven't a clue what an elevator is." Lenore giggled and followed him up the stairs.
He chuckled and walked up the stairs. "Its a steel box pulled up a steel shaft with a steel cable. I'm not a big fan..." he said as he took the stairs at a decent pace. It was eight floors up before he opened the fire door and ushered her into the hallway.
Again, Lenore wasn't sure if she would be a fan of this elevator either from the sound of it. Honestly, it didn't really sound very safe to her...She had to stop once to catch her breath; While you either walked to where you wanted to go or hitched a ride in a coach back in Avalon, hiking up eight flights of stairs was a little much even for Lenore. Being glad to reach their destination would have been an understatement.
He walked with her to the door of the apartment and opened it. The apartment was in the front of the building facing the beach. It was very open. Floor to ceiling windows on two walls of the loft style apartment. There were only two blocked off rooms, one being the bedroom the other being the bathroom. The rest of the apartment was an open floor plan the livingroom flowing into the dinning room and the kitchen. The windows were flanked by floor to ceiling curtains that were pulled to the sides in the corners of the room, and could be pulled across the windows, but rarely ever were. The furniture was more modern style, sleek curves and simple. "Make yourself at home." he said as he closed the door behind them.
Compared to the small cottage she and her parents lived in, Ronan's apartment seemed like a palace. More so since it had been a few years since Lenore had seen or been in anything so nicely decorated.
"Wow..." she breathed out, her gaze roaming around the loft as she turned in place and then grinned at the faerie, "Nice place." Lenore wandered over to the huge windows and leaned against it before pulling away enough to breath on the glass and draw a happy face quickly in the condensation.
He smiled as he watched her walk around. "Thank you. I purchased it when it became available... actually I own the building." he said as he shrugged. It wasn't a big deal to him. Money came easily to him, and having exsisted as long as he had, he had quickly learned how to invest well. He walked to the window and looked out at the water.
Lenore's family weren't rich, but neither were they poor, and she learned to appreciate what she had. Especially these last few years away from home. She'd noticed the water as well and stilled. When Ronan came up to the window, Lennie turned her head a bit without taking her eyes off the water, "I've never been to the ocean."
He looked at her. "Well you're here now... You can go to the ocean anytime you wish, just be sure to take your keys with you..." he said as he glanced at her. "I'll give you some money to get yourself some clothes as well."
At the mention of clothes, Lenore looked down at her own and her hand lifted to her hair. Gods, she must look horrideous and awful! She smiled ruefully at him, "I should probably shower..." Her head still hurt a little from knocking it on the dumpster. Depending on what Ronan had in his kitchen, she might be able to concoct some sort of remedy for it. A smile lit on her face, "I know that thanking the fae isn't really your thing, but..." Lenore shrugged and looked up at him.
He looked down at her and smiled. "There are clean towels and shampoo as well as soap in the shower, and I'm sure that my clothes will be too big for you, but you can wear some of my sweats for now... the medicine cabinet is fully stocked with first aid stuff, the fridge has food in it... and the house phone has my cell phone number next to it." he said looking at her. "There's no need to thank me. I'm keeping other innocents from being mugged as well as helping you. So it isn't entirely selfless."
"Ha ha ha," Lenore replied a little dryly, but grinned at Ronan and then turned away from the window. She paced a few steps away and then turned back to indicate to the two rooms, "Um...which one is the bathroom?"
He smiled. "The one closer to the front door. The other is the bedroom. The sheets are clean... and there are extra blankets in the bottom drawers under the bed."
"Cool!" The Druid said with a single nod, stuffing her hands into the pockets of her jeans and stood there a bit awkwardly until she decided to take Ronan's invitation to make herself at home to heart. She smiled again and turned away as she shrugged out of her hoodie, revealing the extensive sleeve of tattoo's on her right arm and the half sleeve on her left. She wore a racerback gray tank top underneath the hoodie which partially hid the chest tattoo she had and headed for the bathroom.
He watched as she took off her hoodie. "Lennie... I'm going to head home before people wonder where I am... call me if you need anything... anything." he said as he started walking towards the front door.
"Okay," she said as she nodded, reaching the bathroom door. Lenore watched him head to the door and called out, "Um...Ronan?"
He looked over at her. "Hmm?" he asked as he paused by the door.
"Thank you," Lenore said with a soft smile and then opened the door to the bathroom and ducked inside.
He smiled as he nodded his head to her. He put some money as well as a second set of keys on the kitchen counter before he headed out, locking the door behind him.
