Night of Fun
Who: Baily and Zee
Where: Avarice
When: Friday Night, 2/11
Around midnight, Baily finished her set and came down from the booth. Tonight she had no one waiting on her, though. That was one thing that she missed about dating someone seriously was having someone waiting on her when she was done with work. After all her independence, she had grown to rely on someone for small comforts. To hell with that now. While she'd have fun with Jarrod, she hadn't seen him sense. Not that she'd mind doing so again (and again and again and again!), the opportunity just hadn't occurred yet. Besides, she felt the need to take advantage of her singleness for a little while before jumping straight into something else.
Right now she wanted a goddamn drink, though. Once she was down and the next DJ was spinning decent music, she walked up tot the bar and ordered herself two fingers of whiskey. Might as well start the night off right.
Zee had arrived about fifteen minutes before Baily's shift had ended, dressed in black leather pants and a black shirt with rips horizontally across the back, her blue eyes WILD tonight. She wanted to party and more than that, she wanted to fuck things UP. She didn't feel that way often in the past (or so she thought), but it seemed to be a frequent thing lately. She grinned when she noticed Baily. "Woman after my own heart," she said to her.
Baily looked up at Zee and smirked. "Guess that means I'm gonna have to buy you a round since you love my drink so much," she said, flagging the bartender and doing just that.
"I'll take it, but that's not what I meant," Zee cackled like the mad little thing she was. "I just meant that if you're a woman who can hold her liquor, you're DEFINITELY a friend of mine."
Baily laughed. "Well, that's just a family trait more than anything," Baily pointed out to her as the other drink arrived on the bar. "It's luck of the genetic draw, honestly."
"Pfft, it takes two drinks to get my sister on her ASS. You must have good genes, chika." Zee laughed, before picking up her shot and clinking it against Baily's and then downing it in one go.
Hmm...if only this girl knew just what her genes were, huh? She clinked her glass with Zee's and then downed her own drink, already letting the bartender know that she was going to be wanting another one afterward. "So, what brings you out on this marvelous night?" she asked.
"No work plus good music? Makes Zee a VERY happy girl," the peroxide blonde said with a wide grin. "I'm just sad that I missed your set." Well, if she didn't know about Baily's heritage, at least she knew what she DID, hm?
Baily smirked when she said that. Seemed like she was getting pretty damn famous huh? "I'm lucky to get the first shift now so that I can still party before the night's through," she said. "I'll be back at the same time tomorrow though."
"I'll... probably still be drunk then," Zee replied with a laugh. If that wasn't an indication of how inebriated she planned to get, hm? "But yeah, you know good music, chika. Be proud. SO many bitches don't play good music, it isn't even funny." That was a compliment. Surely.
Baily laughed. "Some people can't help the fact that they like things like Haylee James," she pointed out with a smirk. "Doesn't make it right. Just makes me feel sorry for them."
"Makes ME want to slap them upside the head, but I learned a LONG time ago that you can't really slap sense into bitches. Sadly." Well now, nothing like honesty, eh?
Baily laughed. "Yeah well, not even slapping sense into bitches does them any good. They usually don't do what their supposed to do , anyway," she said with a smile.
Well damn. Zee gave an impressed nod then. "So, I hafta ask: are you here with anyone?" Not that it really mattered to Zee, ultimately. "Either way, I think you and me should get a little stupid." She nodded.
Baily shook her head. "Nope, I'm alone tonight," she admitted, taking another sip of her drink. "And what do you mean by 'get a little stupid.'"
"Mostly drinking, dancing... anything else I'll either give or take, fighting, making out..." Zee admitted with a cheeky grin. What? Like she was heterosexual! Please!
Baily gave her a grin. "Sounds like a lot of fun to me, actually." Even the making out sounded pretty damn fun.
"Sweet." Zee cackled and flagged the bartender down for a few more drinks. "What's your name, anyway, gorgeous?"
"Baily Bale," she said, offering her hand to the woman. "What's yours?"
"Mackenzie Valentine," the peroxide blonde replied, giving Baily's hand a firm shake. Clearly Zee worked with her hands, hm? She rolled her eyes and chuckled, "I prefer 'Zee'".
Baily actually had a good, firm handshake as well, so she wasn't shocked by it at all. "Zee it is," she said with a smile.
"Well, Baily Bale," Zee grinned wickedly. "Will you do me the honor of trying to drink me under the table?" Snicker.
Baily gave her a devilish grin. "Now that sounds like it'll be a fun challenge," she said, downing her drink.
Zee chuckled and downed her drink as well. "Now, don't feel like you have to keep up or anything. 'Luck of the genetic draw' ain't got nothin' on me, babe."
Baily smirked. "Ain't just luck of the genetic draw' with me." She also happened to drink a lot, now more than before. Damn, she was turning into Pat, wasn't she?
Zee indicated that the bartender just leave the bottle for them, which she did happily. "You got a little extra goin' for ya, hmm?" She wasn't just talking about a high alcohol tolerance, clearly.
Baily gave her a nod. "Who doesn't these days, hmm?" Seemed like everyone in LA had at least a little extra going for them in some way or another.
"I'm as... vanilla as they come, gorgeous." Little did she know, huh? Let's keep it that way, though. "Still. Doesn't stop me from havin' fun."
"Just in the know then, huh?" Baily asked, pouring them both another drink from the bottle. "Seems like everyone actually knows."
"Everyone we know knows. Safer that way. Wouldn't want a friend turned into noms now. Would you?" She asked before picking up her glass, eying Baily curiously.
"Nah, no needs to turn friends into noms," Baily replied, raising her glass as well. OK, would she cry TOO bad if Pat got nommed on a bit? Not at all. That was bitterness, though.
"Enemies... though..." Zee replied with that wickedly little grin of hers, before tossing the shot back like a pro. "Can't say I've got any of those, sadly."
"Hmm...wish I could say the same," Baily said, then shook her head. "OK, he's not an enemy...but I got kind of dicked around in a relationship recently. Shit happens, though."
"Makes you feel any better...." Zee gave Baily an obvious once-over then and tilted her head to one side, "boy's CLEARLY missing out."
"Tell me something I don't know," Baily said, smiling. "Stung like a bitch, though. Still, not gonna sit at home sitting over a pint of ice cream and mope and shit."
"So you're HERE mopin' and drinking instead, hmm?" Zee clearly never spared anyone their feelings, did she? "Not that I'm complaining," she laughed, the kind of laugh that had just a hint of mania to it. "Gives me someone fun to look at and talk to."
Baily couldn't help but laugh. "Ok, got me there a little. I also work here, so gotta come anyway." Not that she minded. Not a bit.
"Mmm, true. AND you get to meet interesting people like ME," Zee pointed out, surprising herself by how much she was actually ENJOYING this conversation.
Baily grinned. "Very true there." She was actually enjoying herself, too. She was glad that she stuck around tonight instead of taking off after work to sulk about having no one waiting on her.
Zee just gave her a smug grin in return, the smart ass. "So much for our drinking contest, huh?" She looked at her empty glass and set it on the bar. For as much as she boasted about being a big drinker, she didn't appear to mind that they weren't... y'know, drinking so much as talking now.
Baily laughed, pouring them each a new glass. "Didn't say that we had to do it fast," she pointed out. "I work here. We can stay all night and tomorrow drinking if we want." Ben was babying her right now, after all. She could do what she wanted here as long as she didn't burn the place down.
"That... is a good point. Damn. Well, in that case!" She pointed a finger at Baily, as if to emphasize her point here. "I insist that we find somewhere to sit that's a little closer to the floor. Less height to fall from."
Baily started laughing again. "OK, we can definitely hit up a booth so we can get good and comfy while drinking," she agreed.
Zee raised her arms in the air in triumphant glee, as if she'd won some kind of argument here. She sipped at the shot that Baily poured her and picked up the bottle that the bartender left for them. "Lead the way, then."
Baily hopped up off her barstool, still pretty damn coordinated, amazingly, and lead the way to a corner booth for the two of them.
Come on. Like Zee didn't have an ulterior motive to get Baily to move in front of her, hm? She was evil once, y'know! She tilted her head to the side and watched Baily's ass as they walked along, a little skip to her step as she did so, before sliding into the booth opposite the other woman and pouring her a fresh drink. "Kinda glad I come here tonight," she admitted.
It would not have hurt Baily's feelings if she had known that Zee was checking her ass out. She knew that she DID have a nice one, after all, and, as we've seen in the past, she will play with women. "Kind of glad I decided to stay," she said, sitting down in a corner booth.
Zee chuckled and leaned back in her seat, figuring that if they were in it for the long haul, she may as well get good and comfy. "So, what'd you like t'do for fun, chicka?" She rolled her eyes then, remembering something that Charlotte had said to her once, and corrected herself: "Baily."
"Fun? Hang with friends, dance to music, beat the shit out of things, have sex...I'm pretty simple." Baily personally didn't mind being called 'chicka.' She had been called much worse, after all. "What about you?"
Interestingly enough, Charlotte had been trying to teach Zee how to be respectful, hence calling Baily by her first name. Let's see how long that lasts, hm? "Everything you just said," she laughed. "Oh! And working on motorcycles. I SWEAR there's nothin' better than working on my own bike... well, okay, maybe feelin' the power of it between my legs when I'm done but I can't be blamed for that." She grinned.
As long as Zee didn't like, punch Baily, they would be fine. "I used to date a biker guy. Riding on them was a blast." Plus she had ridden with her uncle plenty. She amazingly didn't have one herself, though.
Zee gave an impressed nod then. "It's VERY freeing." Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!! "But back to you and the whole liking sex thing..." She lilted with a cheeky little grin.
Baily arched an eyebrow at her. "What about it?" she asked with a slight grin.
Zee chuckled. "Well, if you ever need help with that then you need look no futher." She nodded, she tried to keep her expression serious and failed miserably.
Baily smirked. "Certainly an offer that I can't turn down," she said to her. Hey, Zee was hot and...whatever she had going with Jarrod wasn't like...official and exclusive.
"Sweet," Zee replied with a grin. "I prooooomise you'll forget about your problems for a while."N
