Repeat Offender
Who: Mere and Ginny
Where: Avarice
When: Tuesday, January 18th
While Ginny was single once again... this time was a bit different. Last time it happened, she had been more or less dumped. FOR A TEENAGER. And she felt betrayed, rejected. But this time? She and Irene had merely decided, mutually, that it wasn't working. And that Irene needed to go off and do whatever she needed to do to get her OWN life in order. Meaning, not only was Ginny single, but for now, Coma White was going to need a new bassist. But that wasn't even on the singer's mind right now, as she walked into Avarice in a pair of second-skin leather pants, a leather corset laced down the chest, and as usual, those long elbow-length gloves. She was honestly looking like a BOMBSHELL, and was attracting a LOT of stares.
Oh, Mere nearly fell on the floor when she saw Ginny. Ginny was one who typically favored long dresses, was tonight wearing such a tight pair of leather pants that she could see every little line and curve of her body. Can we say 'nummy'? Wearing a blue and silver mini-dress herself, she sauntered over to Ginny, drink in hand. "Hello, sexy," she said, coming over and standing next to Ginny. "What's the occasion?"
"Hi, Mere..." Ginny said with a grin, leaning over to kiss her friend on the cheek. "Just decided... to come out and celebrate being an attractive, SINGLE woman, and see what happens."
"Hmm...attractive AND single? Now I like the sound of that," Mere said with a smile, taking a sip of the drink she was carrying. "Definitely something worth celebrating."
"Exactly. Irene and I parted ways. Granted, it puts Coma White in a BIT of a lurch... but since they're going to be more of our... side band now than anything, I'm not as worried. I have the stuff I'm working on with you, and Paige & Lilly are in Intangible Now. We all have things to do until we find a new bassist." It's funny, really... MERE'S the one who used to be a vampire, but GINNY is the one so pale she COULD be one.
Oh, Mere had ran back to tanning when she was able to again. She had missed the sun like crazy. Anyways... "Well, at least you're not really worried," she said to Ginny. "I'm sure that you guys will find another bassist, though. There have got to be plenty of people out there who want to join up with you guys."
"Like I said. Not a worry right now. Maybe we could get your girl Rachelle to help us if worst comes to worst." Trying not to groan when she said his name, she made the effort for her friend. "So... not hanging out with Brayden tonight?"
"Brayden's busy with practice with his own band tonight." It seemed that everyone had at least one band to practice with these days, huh? "So, I'm here all by my lonesome." She gave Ginny a slight pout. "Think you can help me out with that?"
"Of course!" She said, brightly, pretty much oblivious to Mere's connotations (yes, she was one of the FEW). "You've become a good friend, and a hell of a co-writer. I'd love to hang out with you."
It was amazing, since Mere completely lacked subtlety, after all. No worries, though. Mere took a seat at the bar. "You've become a good friend, too. I'm so glad that we started working together, as well."
"I can't wait until people hear what we've been writing. It's SO unlike anything either of us has done before... we just need a NAME, you know?" Ok, and more bandmates, since these two (and with Chloe's help) had been recording everything themselves...
If they did any sort of actual touring, then they would need more bandmates. Of course, they could just poach from other bands, too. Well, less poach and more borrow. "I'm sure we'll come up with something clever and not sucky," Mere said with a grin.
"How are things going there, anyway? You're actually still happy with him?" Ok, so yes. Ginny did NOT like men... but even to HER Brayden was disgusting.
"Still doing pretty damn good, with him and in general," Mere said with a grin, finishing her drink and then ordering another one. "I know he represents like...everything bad with guys in the history of ever, but he can actually be really sweet, too."
"Eh. It's not HIM I hang out with, anyway." Mostly because all he does is stare at her chest. But anyways... "You look FANTASTIC tonight, by the way."
"Ain't that the truth?" Mere asked playfully. Wasn't it amusing that, if Mere were a guy, Ginny would probably HATE her? "And you're not looking too bad yourself, but I'm sure that you already knew that."
"Yeah... I gotta admit, I'm sort of lovin' the look tonight. I looked in the mirror and *I* almost whistled." She joked, shrugging. "So maybe I want to get the kind of looks you and Paige usually get for once."
"I think you get some of those, anyway," Mere pointed out. Especially from her, after all. "But damn, you are looking mighty fine tonight." Enough to drool over, even.
Ginny, cutely, did a little pose, jutting her hip out and everything. "There we go. I'll be a supervixen now."
"Damn, I'm all but drooling at this point," Mere pointed out. "I mean, I'm having to stop myself from dragging you to an empty room and just...fucking maul you or something."
"You say the SWEETEST things, Mere. Really." Ginny rolled her eyes at her friend, sighing lightly. "Still... I have to admit... before I got together with Irene... that evening you and I spent together WAS rather fantastic..."
Mere smirked. "Well, if you are up for it, then we can totally spend another fantastic evening together again," she said with a laugh. Still, she was totally serious about that. She'd LOVE to spend time with Ginny again.
"Promise me you aren't going to try involving.. 'him'... and you're on." She stated simply. She didn't like men in general... but if BRAYDEN tried touching her? She'd likely KILL him.
Mere shook her head. "No, I totally know better than that," she told Ginny. "We should probably head back to your place then, because I live with him now. Wouldn't want him getting fussy, after all."
"Now... THAT I like the sound of." Ginny laughed, knowing that, really... if you needed to have meaningless sex, why not with someone you adore and trust, right?
