Meeting Someone Like You
Who: Ginny and Patience
Where: Eden
When: Monday, January 17th
Patience had, remarkably, somehow managed to finish the work day earlier than usual, which was why she made her way into Eden at roughly 8pm, freshly showered (she generally showered as soon as she got home, most nights) and dressed-to-kill in black leather pants and a matching, semi see-through shirt, her red hair styled wildly over her shoulders. Tonight... she was desperate to cut loose for a while.
As was usual for her, Ginny was hanging out at her favorite table at Eden, tonight clad in a tight red dress that, well, made her boobs look FANTASTIC. Seriously. The girl had cleavage to spare, and was enjoying showing it off in this outfit. She'd grown to feel comfortable with herself, other than the thick scars on her arms which she still hid with elbow-length gloves.
Of course, Patience had a radar for pure sex appeal, so it didn't take her long to find Ginny, with a drink already in hand. "I'm kinda digging this Elvira/Jessica Rabbit look you've got goin' here." And true to form, Patience gave Ginny an appreciative once-over. Lovely.
"Well... thank you." Ginny said with a low, whispery laugh. For a woman who was so wild, so... outgoing onstage... she was truly shy and quiet OFF stage. "Can't say you're... hard on the eyes either, hon." She blushed a little, that grin almost TOO adorable to be true. "You look familiar... do I know you?"
"If you've ever been to Avarice, probably. I used to bartend there a while back, y'know, before I went all psycho and tried to strangle the owner's wife. It's all good though. I apologized!" She added... because that's the part of the story that people were going to focus on, hm? "I'm Patience."
"Oh! That's where I know you from!" Ginny said with a sweet smile. "I don't go there TOO much, but I saw you tending bar before. I'm Ginny. Pleasure to meet you." Also cute? How Ginny still sort of acted like 99% of the people there didn't know who she was. She still had a hard time thinking of herself as 'well-known'.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too," Patience replied, her voice practically a purr. Well, despite the fact that she had a full time semi-respectable job now, there were still things that couldn't be trained out of the girl. "D'you want some company?"
"I think I'd have to be a fool to say no to THAT..." Ginny replied, using her free hand to gesture to the empty chair across from her. She'd been getting used to being alone... and it was a feeling she didn't particularly like.
"Thanks." Patience grinned in her own sly, snarky way and then took the offered seat. "I've seen you perform," she said casually, "I would never have guessed that off-stage you were so... well, demure." Wow, was that a compliment from Patience Kowalski that somehow DIDN'T reference someone's ass? STOP THE PRESSES.
"That tends to surprise a lot of people. What can I say? Some people cope with their demons with booze or drugs. I let mine out onstage." Hm. Makes you wonder exactly WHAT had happened to this girl, eh?
"Sounds like a Hell of a lot better outlet then trying to strangle people..." Well, at least Patience had somehow found a way to laugh about it now, huh? "You'll have to tell me about it sometime. Well, you don't HAVE to, but if you need someone to talk to or have wild unabashed sex with, I'm here."
Did the sex invite make Ginny turn a sudden, BRIGHT shade of red? Hell yes. She was used to people coming on to her, but that was TOTALLY out of left field, and caught her completely off-guard. "Why don't... we get to know each other a little more, hm?" She asked, her way of showing she was interested... just not the 'sex up someone she doesn't know' type.
"I can do that," Patience assured her, finding that blush utterly adorable. She knew that she could be a little... forward sometimes (ha!), so she didn't mind kicking it back a notch. "Well, then. Why don't you tell me a little about yourself?" She suggested.
"What would you like to know?" The vocalist asked, those full lips curling into a flirty grin. "I like to perform... I love to read, to take photos, to just.... go dancing and let loose... I'm not a terribly hard person to amuse."
"Nether am I," Patience admitted, finding herself eyeing up Ginny again. She couldn't help it! "Okay, so what do you read? What do you like to take photos of?" Hey, she was showing an interest. STFU.
"I love reading autobiographies. It's a hobby of mine. And the pictures? I love taking nature shots. Ok, and when I find willing subjects, I love taking pictures of people as models and such." She smiled, feeling JUST a little lame. "What about you?"
"Y'know, Keith Richards should bring out an autobiography. That man has more lives than a cat!" Okay, so the mun is showing how much of a nerd she is. Shut up. "You can TOTES take pictures of me sometime." Ah, she barely refrained from adding 'nude'. Barely. "I like to work... try to party... and I'm working on my own demons... and I think I'm officially lamer than you think you are."
"Doubtful." Ginny retorted with a little laugh, nervously adjusting her gloves. "If I... sense what I think I do about you... it seems like we're both working on literally as well as figurative demons."
Patience's' wonderful response to that? Was to tap the side of her nose. "I'll take crippling secrets for 200, Alex. Well, I guess it's not so much a secret around most of my friends..." She added, leaning back in her seat to take ALL of Ginny in.
"Face it... we're both part-demon, Patience. I can sense it in you, because I was BORN half-demon." She said, looking at her now with a combination of interest and... pity, in a way.
"You know, when this first ...happened to me, my initial reaction was 'FUCK YEAH I'M NOT DEAD." She was still a loud little thing, wasn't she? "Then came... other things. But I think that I'm okay with it now. As much as I CAN be, y'know?"
"If you ever need someone who's... like you... to vent to? I'm always around." Ginny really DID feel bad for the girl. Plus? Who minded having a gorgeous thing like this around? "Now see? Those kind of secrets I can totally open up about."
"I'm glad you can," Patience purred. It would actually be nice to have someone to talk to about it who would, on some level, understand. That, and she rather got the impression that it took a LOT to get Ginny to open about about ANYTHING. "I'll definitely keep an eye out for you."
"Anything ELSE you want to know about me..." she laughed shrugging. "My lyrics should give you an idea of the things I've been through." And considering most of those lyrics were about surviving abuse, and overcoming others' insults? Yikes.
"Don't think of this as a line, or anything... but I feel like I'm really seeing you for the first time. I never really thought that you were..." Patience went silent for a minute. "Wow, I think that's officially the first time that I've been rendered speechless."
"Then I consider myself very special indeed." Sighing, she pulled one of the gloves down, revealing the thick, ugly scars running down the underside of her arm. "No matter what happens... don't ever think about hurting yourself. Promise me."
"I would NEVER hurt myself." Patience promised, unable to stop herself from running the pads of her fingers along those scars. "Why do you hide these? Because it hurts too much to look at them?"
"Because... sometimes, just sometimes... they still make me feel like the ugly, fat, worthless person I *thought* I was when I gave them to myself." Wow. There's honesty, huh? "I tried to kill myself. If I had been a normal human... it would have worked."
Patience... just went with what felt natural then and brought Ginny's wrist to her mouth and kissed her softly. She wasn't even being remotely sexual about it, funnily enough. "You ARE beautiful, and I promise that one day you'll feel it, outside and in, and you won't wear these gloves anymore."
"Well... thank you." She said softly. "I usually don't. But some days? I can't help it. Some days... the things I went through years ago still... gets too fresh in my memory."
"Ah. The bad days... don't get me started on those." Patience chuckled. "The best thing, I've found... is to find more things that are good to outweigh the bad."
"That's exactly what you have to do." She grinned, nodding. "You have an aura about you.... you've had a rough life, haven't you?"
"Yeah," Patience nodded. Clearly that was an understatement, hrmh? "A lot of childhood stuff that I don't really like to go into, and the last year or so has been a bit of a roller-coaster."
"I... get the childhood stuff." She sneered, lightly. "We'll just say there's a REASON I typically hate men... and leave it at that."
"They're not all bad," Patience murmured. Hell, she was married to one of the best men that she'd ever met and she'd stick up for her brother until the end. Literally. She smoothed a hand through Ginny's hair. "Feels like you've still got a lot of anger in you."
"That... might be a little bit of an understatement. Again... my music helps me a LOT. Without it... I don't know how I'd cope." She smiled, again holding all the rage in, knowing that her performances were her release.
"I'm... starting to think that you might need more than one outlet here," Patience replied. She wasn't hinting at sex! ZOMG. "And y'know, I have a pretty good psychiatrist, if you'd be interested in talking to someone … not me."
"It's ok. I deal. I know how to channel my rage. But I could always use more friends" she said sweetly, trying to reach out a little more. Really, other than the people she made music with, Buffy was her only real friend.
"Well, you've got one new friend here, sister," Patience replied, completely honest since... well, she could use a few more friends herself now, couldn't she?
"Now, the REAL problem is gonna be us having to fight people off." She smirked, trying to sound concerned. "Because two women as sexy as us? Together? Trouble."
"I think that we can manage to fight 'em off," Patience replied with a chuckle and a wicked grin.
"God... you've got a FABULOUS smirk. It gives me chills... in a good way." She giggled again, blushing slightly.
"Kinda what I was going for..." Patience replied with that same smirk. She couldn't help it when she got her flirt on, really!
"You know, the scars and the childhood trauma would throw a LOT of people off. Not you though..." Ginny smirked, getting the feeling this woman was pretty much a libido on legs.
Oh, she wasn't wrong there. "I get trauma. Most people don't have it so... on their sleeve, I guess, but I get it."
"Here..." Ginny took a napkin, and jotted her cell phone number down onto it, folding it and sliding it over to Patience. "Seriously... call me. Soon. We'll hang out or something."
"Is tonight too soon?" Patience asked with a teasing lilt to her voice. Okay, so she was having fun for the first time in … a LONG time. Leave her alone.
"Not at all... what did you have in mind?" The raven-haired singer asked, those big, wide eyes looking far too adorable to belong to the shrieking madwoman she was onstage.
"Well, I figured we could go to Church... maybe read the bible. Which isn't a euphemism for ANYTHING. Or, we could be a little more innocent and get on the dance floor, since you admitted to liking that."
"Lead the way, darling..." Ginny said with a laugh that showed she just... KNEW she was in for an interesting night.
Patience tongued one of her canines and stood up, offering Ginny a hand as well, since she was NICE like that.
Ginny took Patience's hand, and walked out onto the dance floor with her, something about those eyes a mix of sweetness... and possibly desire?
As soon as they got to the dance floor, Patience set one hand to Ginny's waist and started gyrating to the music. "Tell me if I'm going too fast for you, hm?"
"...there must be a punchline there SOMEWHERE..." Ginny said, cracking up. Hey... she was sweet... but certainly was no angel. And she was LOVING this.
"Probably a few, come to think of it," Patience purred, unable to hide that devilish smirk that she was well known for. "I'm liking that laugh, by the way."
"You know... " Ginny said as they moved to the music, which she recognized as Eternal Embrace, "Just the way you MOVE is amazing. Ten bucks says you didn't move like that when you were pure human..."
"Not even CLOSE," Patience admitted, biting her lip as she hooked a hand around Ginny's waist. Funnily enough, this was her being TAME.
"I can tell... when you become part demon... things change. You find yourself more... animal than before. Some good ways... and some bad." She said, even as they moved seductively to the music.
"Like I said... I try to lose myself in the good things... or REALLY good things, if I have a mind to. It can be ... ugnh, I can't even describe it." The redhead laughed.
"Well... as I said. ANYTHING you need, to help you cope better... ask me." Ginny admittedly was enjoying this closeness, this... contact. "I've lived with this my whole life."
Patience rolled her eyes. Was it ANY stretch of the imagination where her mind just went then, hm? "I'm thinkin' that *I* should be offering to do that for YOU."
While Ginny was a VERY sexual being, her mind? Just didn't reside there constantly the way Patience's did. Meaning? That went RIGHT over her head. "Oh, I cope fine... but thank you. I just figured... this is new to you."
"Kinda not what I meant," Patience admitted with a chuckle. The day that Patience got her mind out of the gutter was the day that the world was likely to end, huh?
"Oh." Ginny blinked, her hands still at the redheads hips. "....what DID you mean then?"
"Wellll," Patience lilted. "I'm here if you need someone to talk to, but I'm also good for the sexy!times too."
"Oh... OH!" Ginny blinked, blushing as she finally realized what Patience had been trying to hint at. "I... I can't say I'd be entirely opposed to that..."
"Sorry. Usually I'm more forward with that. I just didn't want to offend you or anything." Patience? Shush. "But not opposed, huh?" She asked with an arched eyebrow.
"Um... you DO know what you look like, yes?" Ginny said with a playfully snarky tone.
"'Stunning' HAS been used..." Patience replied. Damn if she couldn't help that snarky grin of hers now, huh?
"Really." Ginny grinned, tilting her head as they danced, and leaning her head forward to gently, juuuuust slightly, touch her lips to the other woman's.
"Really really," Patience murmured against Ginny's lips, not really wanting to move right now.
"You, um... got a place we could go?" Ginny wasn't the type for public makeout sessions, really. It just wasn't her style.
"Sure," Patience murmured, giving Ginny an all-too-brief Eskimo kiss before pulling back from her and taking her hand. "C'mon. I got you."
"Why do I half-expect you to have... some kind of sex-lair or something?" Ginny asked with a far-too-nerdy laugh there...
"Pssh. Lair's are SO last season," Patience replied. Well. Wasn't THIS an interesting evening?
