Who: Cash McConnel & Solana Tarish Where: Her house When: Thursday, Jan 13th, 2011 Status: Completed Rating: PG
Solana had been finishing up grading some papers. She really thought that being a freshman in college would have meant that people would know how to use spell check on their computers and proofread their own papers. But apparently that was a mistake on her behalf. She had her bangs clipped back from her face so that they wouldn't be in her eyes as she read and her reading glasses on. A pair of boxer shorts and a tank top on. She didn't know if she should expect Cash or not, but they'd been spending a good deal of time together, either sleeping at her place or at his. She'd grown used to the feeling of being curled up in his arms.
After spending a few post-Baily days basically FREAKING THE FUCK OUT, Cash finally got himself calm enough to leave the house. And when he did? Obviously, Solana was the first person he ran to. She had become more than his girlfriend... somehow, she'd become his very anchor, the thing that kept him sane in this increasingly crazy world. Wearing black carpenter jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and a silver necklace, he rang the doorbell, that 'aw-shucks' grin plastered firmly in place.
Solana heard the knock on her door and sat down her pen and glasses. She turned off the lamp on her desk and walked to the door. She wasn't worried about what she had on, figuring it was either Cash or one of her friends. She opened the door and a smile spread across her lips. "Hey baby." she said as she stepped forward and wrapped her arms up around his neck, kissing him softly.
"Hey... god, I needed this. It's been... wow. It's been a hell of a week." He said, resting his forehead against hers and just taking in her scent with a relieved smile.
She held onto him as she watched him, her forehead meeting his as she rubbed her hands over his neck softly. "Come on in baby... tell me what's going on." she said as she reluctantly pulled back a little and took his hand, pulling him into the house, pushing the door closed and pulling him over to the sofa.
He just... kind of grabbed her, pulling her onto his lap as he sat down. Shut up... he loved having her on his lap, ok? "Remember how I told you I'm from the future? Well... clearly, the future I'm from isn't the exact same time line as this one... because I just found out my 'parents' split up. And I've been sick over it."
She squealed a little as he pulled her down into his lap. She cuddled up against him and laced the fingers of her hand with one of his as she watched him talk. "Oh, baby..." she said softly as she looked at him. She let go of his hand and moved her hand up to caress his face softly. "I don't know how hard it must be, baby." she murmured softly.
"You don't WANT to know, honestly. It made me realize that really... here? You're all I have that I can depend on." He smiled, and tried to crack a little joke, more trying to cheer himself up than anything. "Doesn't hurt that you're ridiculously hot, either..."
She couldn't help the soft flush to her skin whenever he started teasing about her being hot. "You can always count on me, Cash," she said as she pulled him down to a soft kiss. "I promise that. And fae always keep their word." she said as she rested her forehead against his.
"I'm just glad you... understood why I didn't tell you who I was right away. I was SO afraid you'd think I was insane. I mean... fae are one thing. Vampires, werewolves, etc... but people from the future? Hell... *I* would have said it sounded nuts." He squeezed her possessively, grinning.
She caressed his cheek softly as she watched him. She put a finger to his lips. "I understand... and I will forgive you for not being honest with me from the start." she said softly. "But you have to keep being honest with me, from now on. I don't know what I'd do without you." she said softly.
"I'll never hold ANYTHING back from you again." He promised, smiling sweetly. "I love you, girl. I love every curve, every tat, every piercing, every little smile you give... all of it."
She nodded her head softly. She leaned in and kissed him again softly. "I love you, Cash. With every beat of my heart, every ounce of magic in my skin." she murmured softly. "One day..." she said softly and closed her eyes looking down. "I don't want to think about that..." she said changing her mind.
"Whoa whoa whoa..." He said, blinking a few times. "I dunno if I liked the sound of that... what's going on?"
She looked at him and sighed softly. "I'll never grow old." she said looking at him. "This is what I'm going to look like for forever."
"Oh..." he replied, seeing the bad there. "So... in other words, I get to have a eternally hot girl... while you get to watch me get old and ugly. God, I kinda feel like crap for you now."
She looked at him. "I don't want to watch you get old and die..." she said softly. "Maybe... before you get too old... we can go to faerie..." she said biting her bottom lip.
"Umm... do what now?" He asked, feeling just a little dumb now. So he wasn't a font of wisdom, ok? Deal.
She looked at him. "If a human goes into the sithens, faerie, and stays there... then they don't age, at least not like they would here... Because time moves differently in faerie." she said softly. "I've seen humans in faerie that were over 500 years old... and they didn't look a day over 20..." she said pursing her lips.
"Wow..." He said, eyes widening. Would he leave everything he knew behind? Just to have more time with her? ...you bet your ASS. "When the time comes? I'd gladly do it for you."
She heard him say that and her eyes widened at first and then her smile spread further. "really?"
"If it meant more time with you? Hell yes." Ok, so maybe not the most eloquent answer... but an honest one.
She wrapped both of her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. "You don't know how much this means to me." she said softly.
"Actually? I do." He said, chuckling to himself. "Because it's how I feel every day, when I realize you're really mine."
She kissed his cheek softly. She pressed soft kisses along his jaw. "All your for as long as you wish, forever even." she murmured.
"Like I'd ever turn that down." He laughed, as suddenly, his gaze took on a more... devious look. "And suddenly? I want to do bad, bad things to you." And given the guy's PB? That quote was moderately comical.
She trailed her fingers over his neck and looked down at him. "Then we're getting in the hot tub because I wanna do it there..."
"Hot DAMN. Lead the way, gorgeous." Well... one thing he had in common with his father: he certainly attracted the hot ones, hm?
