A Little Encouragement
Who: Kirsten, introducing Jodi
Where: Regan High Library
When: Wednesday, January 5th
Kirsten was in something of a crabby mood and when that happened she made a point to break herself out of it by being annoying to as many people as possible. It worked most of the time, she had to admit. She made her way into the library, dressed in jeans, a studded belt and a black t-shirt that had 'I fight like a girl' written across the breast. Spotting Jodi hiding in the stacks, she tossed her bag to one side and glomped the poor girl. "Bwahaha. You can never hide from me!" Yeah. That was one good thing that came from being bitten. She had better senses now.
"Kiiiiir!" The tiny brunette whined, as the whirling dervish almost knocked the little nerd's glasses off. "You scared me you dork!" She tried to give a glare, but it just looked too cute.
"Awr, didn't mean to. I'm just happy to see you!" Kirsten explained, actually glaring at a kid nearby who told her to shut up. "What's my favorite freshman up to?" She asked, actually going as far as to wrap an arm around Jodi and give her an affectionate noogie.
"Avoiding Marty Haggerty. He shoved me in a locker this morning and I would have missed first period if Lydia James hadn't heard me pounding." She blushed sheepishly. "And possibly crying."
"God, that kid needs to get a life. I'm sure that I could think of some creative revenge, if you want. Make sure he never lays a hand on you again?" Something already came to mind that had her grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
"Can't say I'd object. Just don't hurt him. I don't want to see anyone get hurt." Well, at least she was a nice girl, hm? "You know... I think I might be on the verge of finally proving some of my theories. About the existence of the supernatural."
"Oh, the only thing I'd be hurting would be his ego," Kirsten assured her, giving the younger girl an affectionate cuddle, hating that anyone would do anything hurtful to her. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. I heard a rumor that Bethany Bale's foster mom is like... an EXPERT in it, and that she WORKS with it! Can you imagine?!?" Oh dear, she was getting giddy now. "I might FINALLY prove that vampires, ghosts, werewolves... ALL of them... exist!!!"
Of course, the fact that she was saying this to a bitten Werewolf wasn't lost on Kirsten. The trouble there was that beyond her family and Macha, she hadn't told a soul about that. "That's pretty monumental, dude."
The fact that a tiny, 13 year old girl was so driven with this was kind of comical in and of itself. "I want to meet her. If its true, she could be the key to me being able to dedicate my life to studying the supernatural!"
Kirsten laughed. She liked being around Jodi, purely because everything excited her. She was so passionate and driven. Most teenagers were worried about hormonal stuff. "Well, you should talk to Bethany, then. See if you can meet her."
"Oh, I asked her already. She gave this nervous laugh, said I was crazy, and skittered away." Jodi gave a mischievous grin. "BUT. I heard her on the phone with her, and heard her mention the old Hyperion hotel. I'm gonna swing by there and see if I can find anything out." Oh, wasn't she just a regular Nancy Drew, hm?
Kirsten shouldn't find it hot how... oddly fanatical that sounded, should she? She chuckled and nodded. "Do you want some back-up when you go? I know some mean fisticuffs if it comes to it." Okay, so she was selfishly motivated there. If these people knew about the supernatural, then maybe they could find a new cage for her so she didn't have to spend full moons in the Wolfram & Hart basement. She didn't trust that place.
"I'd love it, actually..." Jodi grinned, admittedly more excited to have more time with the gorgeous blonde.
"Sweet. I'll bring snacks and everything." Yes, much like the Van Warren girls, she couldn't go for very long without sugar.
