Oh, If Only She Knew...
Who: Kirsten and Macha
Where: School, then … not
When: Thursday, December 9th
The school day couldn't end sooner for Kirsten, as far as she was concerned. She kept looking at the clock all day, watching the seconds tick past. She didn't have any major plans, mind you. It was just too good a day to stay indoors, and she fully intended to drag Macha out to enjoy it. Dressed in tight blue jeans and a 'Runaways' t-shirt, she took hold of Macha's hand and practically dragged her out of school. "You an' me are gonna do something fun today! No complaining!"
"Kirsten, I have school assignments to work on!" Macha lamely tried protesting against being dragged off school grounds into doing something "fun". "And I know your kind of fun. It tends to land us in trouble." Macha grumbled as the pair pushed out past the school doors into the sunlight of what remained of the day.
"You've never complained before. Well, okay, maybe you have... but you always seem to go along with it," Kirsten replied with a smirk, practically dragging Macha outside. "You, me, my mum's car and wherever you want to go, babe."
"Why is it I always have this feeling that you and driving shouldn't be mixed. And no, this is you little planned outing, you must have a place chosen to abduct me to." Macha smirked in return.
Kirsten just grinned, almost lecherously, before leading Macha to her mum's car, a tiny red Audi. "I have NO idea what you're talking about," the blonde giggled, taking Macha's backpack and tossing it in the backseat, before jumping in the driver's side. "No complaints so far, I take it?"
"Do you ever hear my complaints." Macha reasoned as she got herself into the passenger seat of the Audi. For all she knew Kir had selective hearing and only heard what she was wanting to hear.
"I always do," Kirsten assured her, leaning over to smooch Macha's cheek before buckling in and starting the car, revving and finally leading them out of the parking lot, figuring they could go somewhere a little out of the way. Oh, she had something in mind, alright.
Macha simply rolled her eyes at that as she leaned back slightly in her seat. "Am I going to at least get a hint as to where you're stealing me away to?"
"...Hrmh, somewhere where you'll be wet and partially naked?" Kirsten grinned. ...Okay, so she had a Hot Spring in mind, but she couldn't help it but tease Macha a little.
Well, that certainly caught the dark haired teen's attention, and it was to her liking as well. "You know they have a pool back at the school we could have broken into." Kir's remark had her coming to the conclusion that swimming was included in the girl's plans, and where better the swim then in a full sized pool. Of course there was the ocean, but that was too easily thought of.
"People always have a habit of getting into that pool. ...You ever think that maybe I want you all to myself?" Kirsten replied with a smirk, flipping on the radio to hear the end of a recent Suicide Messiah song. "Oh, the bassist of this band thinks you're hot, by the way. I told her, in no uncertain terms, that she wasn't allowed to have you."
"She thinks I'm hot?" Macha questioned with a glance over to Kir with a smile. Not that she felt any attraction to any member of Suicide Messiah, she just enjoyed messing with her Kirsten a little bit.
"Well, yeah, but that's not the point because—She's not allowed to have you," Kirsten reiterated, actually flailing a little. It seemed Macha's teasing had the desired effect, huh? The blonde grumbled as she gradually drove them out of town, figuring that Macha might guess where she was leading them soon enough. "ANYWAY."
"Cause you wanna keep me all to yourself, yeah I heard you." The raven haired teen found herself smiling internally at the thought, which kind of caught her off guard at that moment. "Okay, so a pool is out," she figured out just catching on that Kirsten was driving them out of the city, "so that leaves either a lake or that secluded little hot spring we happened upon a year back."
"Mm, the second one," Kirsten admitted with an impish grin. "'Cause come ON, you remember how much FUN we had last time?" She waggled her eyebrows. "Besides, you seem kinda out of it lately. I figure a couple of hours away would do you good." It never occurred to her to ask WHY that was, however.
"I have not been out of it lately." Macha protested barely able to keep herself from huffing at Kir and her comment. "You just wanna use any excuse you could find to explain away your want to visit that hot spring again."
"Puh-lease, you've been more introspective than usual lately. Don't deny it. I'd ask why but I figure you'll just find some crafty way to change the subject, but don't think that I haven't noticed." She started to slow the car a little as they got into rougher terrain, since her mum's car wasn't exactly BUILT for that. "Besides, you know me. If I want to go somewhere, I go. I don't make excuses."
"I know. You wanna go somewhere or do something you just up and do it." The ebony haired were said with an internal sigh. She knew she shouldn't, but Macha couldn't help feeling that little spark of jealousy, and little bit of feeling threatened, whenever she saw or thought of Kirsten with another girl.
Kirsten tapped her nose with her index finger before pulling the car to a park. Of course she remembered how to get there, so it should come as no surprise that the drive didn't take long. "Which part do you wanna go to? Hot or cold water?" Yes, they had an option. Wasn't that wonderful? She smirked as she kicked out of her shoes. "Come on, Max. It's not often you get to chose. I'm gonna see a smile on that face yet!"
"You have to ask?" Macha questioned with a smirk to her friend. It was quite obvious that hot was the ultimate choice. In Macha's mind there was nothing like a slip into a hot soothing body of water.
"Good point," Kirsten chuckled, peeling off her socks before pocketing her keys and jumping out of the car. "Also, we maaay have towels in the boot." She opened the back of the car to reveal - wa la - towels. "Okay, d'you wanna race?" She waggled her eyebrows.
"You'd be a pretty poor planner, Kirsten Locke, if you hadn't hidden towels away in the trunk." Macha pointed out as she slipped out of her own shoes and socks. "And no, I don't want to race you." Macha added reaching into the open trunk to snatch up a towel with a slow forming devilish grin. The girl was soon racing off into the woods toward where the hot spring was located.
"Oi! Cheater!" Kirsten called after her, snatching up her own towel and slamming the boot shut before chasing after Macha. Of course, given that Macha got those few extra seconds, she won. Catching up to her, Kirsten scowled and leaned over, panting. "That's SO not fair."
"A race is a race, and besides you didn't set any rules." The dark haired teen tried reasoning with her friend once Kir had caught up with her. The spring was only like a five-ten minute run from the cabin and the two girls were soon upon it after ducking under a couple of low hanging branches to break into the small clearing.
"Yeah--well... still," Kirsten pouted. It didn't last long, however, as she was soon smiling when they made they way into the clearing. It was still as stunning as ever. "New rule: No cheating." She giggled and peeled off her Runaways t-shirt, revealing a black-and-pink bra. "Deal?"
"You can't make up rules as you go." Macha protested to the new rule set to her by Kir. "So not fair." She added dropping her towel to the ground before slipping out of her own t-shirt and jeans clad now in only a leopard print bra and matching panties.
"It's TOTALLY fair. Admit it, you only hate the rule because that's the only way you ever win," she teased, as always, enjoying pushing Macha's buttons as she wiggled out of her jeans. Her panties, funnily enough, had 'If you can read this, you're in with a chance' printed on the front. She rolled her eyes, trying to will herself to not check Macha out here as she tossed her clothes and towel to one side. "After you."
Macha huffed at that, mostly because there was truth behind Kir's words. She generally took the cheating route to guarantee that she'd win against her friend. In a fair race she'd only have a fifty percent chance of out running one Kirsten Locke. "I think after you." Macha said with a light wave of her hand toward the spring for Kir to enter first. It hadn't escaped her mind that her friend had admitted to checking out her behind, and Macha wasn't about to give Kir that privilage at that moment.
Kirsten smirked, figuring that's where Macha's mind went, before inching into the spring first, finding herself a comfortable perch before crocking her finger in a 'come hither' gesture at Macha. "D'you think we can get away with staying overnight?" The cabin wasn't too far, after all, and she was genuinely enjoying herself.
"I don't see why not." Macha answered as she stepped cautiously into the spring after Kir. "It's not like we're miles from the city, so it'd be doubtful that we'd miss a whole day of school by driving back in the morning." She continued sinking slowly down into the water to sit beside her blond friend. Macha didn't have any complaints about overnighting it at the cabin as she enjoyed it whenever she went up there with her family or Kir, and besides staying for the night would guarantee she'd have the blond all to herself without any skanks trying to throw themselves at her Kir.
"True," Kirsten murmured, leaning over to nuzzle Macha's neck slightly, taking in her scent. "We'll call home in a little bit. Mum might not be all too pleased that I've got her car, but... it's not like she'll need it anyway. ... We'll probably have to get food at some point as well." Clearly, she hadn't planned THAT far ahead.
Her lashes fluttered closed a brief moment when Kir nuzzled at her neck. The heat of the hot spring was having an adverse affect on Macha, making her more susceptible to Kir's "unique" way of being friendly. "Food would probably be a good thing." She murmured softly inching herself closer to the blond.
"Anything in particular you want?" Kir asked, wrapping an arm around Macha. While she knew that she could be overbearing, she at least tried to take into account that Macha wanted things for herself.
The word you almost fell from Macha's lips, but she managed to bite it back with a slight frown that was there and then gone replaced by a managed smile. Macha didn't like the way the feelings she was constantly fighting kept trying to creep to the surface. "I'm thinking maybe burgers and fries would make for a nice dinner." She finally answered with a glance over to her friend.
"Sounds kinda perfect," Kir replied, eying Macha curiously. She smiled faintly and traced her knuckles across Macha's cheek. "Look, if you wanna go, we can. I don't like feelin' like I'm making you do something you don't wanna do." Oh, if only she knew...
"Absolutely not. Not after you dragged me ALL the way up here." She teased back, Macha then got a bit serious. "Unless you have some hot date you just remembered about." A thought that didn't sit well at all with Macha Culann. The thought of another girl trying to get close to Kir bothered her big time, and for reasons she wasn't wanting to fathom.
"Nah," Kir replied. "Those girls don't compare to you, anyway." Which was... surprisingly, the truth. Macha was actually who she measured most women to. If they didn't have certain qualities, then she didn't want to know them.
Well, if those few words didn't brighten Macha's mood just a little bit, though it did have her wondering if the girls Kir seemed attracted to didn't compare in any way, shape or from to herself then why did she keep going after them. "You should place your standards higher." Macha commented casually as she let herself slip beneath the water only to rise back up a couple seconds later brushing damp strands away from her face.
"Maybe," Kir murmured, watching Macha before splashing some water in her direction. "But... it's kinda hard to find any woman better than you," she added, bobbing under the water briefly herself.
"I'm starved." Macha said suddenly lifting slowly to her feet to track cautiously out of the hot spring over to where she had let her towel drop to the ground. It had been either that or let her true feelings for the blond be revealed after hearing what Kir had admitted to, and with Macha not willing to fully admit to herself how she felt about the blond, she wasn't about to admit those feelings to Kir until she, herself, had reconciled them.
Kirsten blinked after Macha, a little surprised by the sudden departure, but followed after her soon enough, toweling herself dry. "Alright, well. ... I guess we can rent a movie as well?" She suggested. "Anything you want."
Macha responded as she started to dry herself off. "Thelma and Louise." It had been the first movie title that popped into her head and Macha didn't hesitate in voicing that suggestion. It was one of her top ten favorite movies, and then there was that little attraction she had toward Susan Sarandon.
"Sure," Kirsten smirked, putting on her pants one leg at a time. Buttoning her jeans, she leaned over to smooch Macha's cheek and picked up her shirt. "I'm not gonna race this time, though. I've learned my lesson."
"This time, just wait til next time rolls around. You'll forget all about what you just said." Slinging the towel over a shoulder, Macha moved a couple steps to retrieve her jeans which she slid into before picking up her t-shirt to slip on over her head after dropping her towel to the ground at her feet.
After slipping her own shirt over her head, Kir watched Macha a moment, before blinking. "Probably," she admitted. "But I guess we'll have to wait to see, huh?"
"I suppose." She said offering the blond a smile before retrieving her damp towel from the grassy floor. Slinging it over her shoulder once more, Macha ducked out of the small clearing to track her way back toward the cabin.
Picking up her own towel, Kirsten couldn't help it but let her eyes wander down Macha's form. She cleared her throat after realising that fact and smiled faintly before following after her.
