Goofy Day
Who: Ash and Lucy
Where: Their Home
When: Wednesday Afternoon
"So.... explain to me again. HOW precisely does this work? You drink, what... six or seve HUGE cups of coffee a day, and you're not a diabetic HOW?" Ash was sitting in the kitchen of the small home that now belonged not only to him, but to his young fiance, Lucy Van Warren. And right now? He was watching her, with rapt attention, as she drank coffee like Belushi drank JD in Animal House. As in... QUICKLY.
Lucy, nursing said seventh cup of coffee, gave him a slight shrug. "I think the Van Warren blood is totally made of sugar or something that makes it so that we can metabolize it properly," she said to him with a grin.
"It's really strange... really impressive..." He sighed then, defeated, "and like pretty much everything you do, very hot."
She giggled when he called it hot. "Well, coffee is hot, too, you know. Hot and awesome." She thought about that for a second. "Unless you're like that McDonald's lady and spill it on your lap. Then it's not awesome at all, but only then is coffee not awesome."
"Seeing a girl as sexy as you act like such a goober? POSSIBLY the sexiest thing, as your sister would say, IN THE HISTORY OF EVER." Oh god... Ash? Using Van Warrenisms???
She arched an eyebrow at him when he said that. "Wow...hanging around me just a TEENY bit too much, huh?" she asked playfully. Of course, not that she'd ever truly think something that crazy. "You're even talking a little like a Van Warren now."
"Nonsense. I could never spend TOO much time with you. Forever isn't enough time with you." He smiled sweetly with a little kiss to her forehead.
She snuggled into him. "So I believe, too. You do realize that you're going to get all happy go lucky like me, though, right?"
"Rrrright. And when that happens, hell itself will freeze over and zombies will walk the earth." He said in an even tone.
She giggled. "Well, I don't think it'll take THAT to happen," she said to him simply. Plus, in their world, zombies probably did exist. Lovely.
