Who: Andais & Deacon When: Wednesday, December 1st, evening. Where: The residence of Andais & Rozenwyn
Stepping inside, Deacon played with the puppy for a quick minute before quietly bounding up the stairs to check on Andais. Ducking into her suite, the guard found her to be sound asleep and without further thought, he crawled in beside her. Deacon did his best not to disturb Andais as he settled in beside her.
Andais felt his warmth and snuggled back into him, even in her sleep, her hand finding his, lacing their fingers. She dozed for a little longer before she slowly started to blink awake, feeling him behind her still. A soft smile spread across her lips as she shifted thier joined hands up to kiss his finger tips softly.
With the comfort of another body beside him, Deacon had gone back to sleep until movement filtered into his subconcious and the guard stirred on the bed. His arm tightened around her in a soft hug before he stretched, a soft sleepy groan coming from the guard before he nuzzled behind her ear.
She smiled softly as she heard his sleepy groan. She considered pretending to have dozed back off just to keep him wrapped around her, but she didn't. She released his hand and rolled over and nuzzled him back. "Evening," she murmured as she slid her arms around his waist. "I like this." she said as she rested against him.
Deacon chuckled, a sleepy grin curving his lips as he greeted her back, the tip of nose brushing against hers, "...Hi." His eyes drifted closed again as he agreed with her and murmured back, "As do I, Highness."
She brushed her nose against him in a loving manner, her fingers trailing up and down his back. "I think I slept better once you curled up next to me." she murmured softly. "I was having the oddest dreams, and then nothing..."
At the mention of odd dreams, Deacon opened his eyes. His gaze was guarded as he asked, "...Odd dreams?" His own nightmare from that morning came crashing back, but his forced himself to keep a neutral expression.
"I was lost... and I couldn't find my way..." she said as she looked up at him. "And I couldn't find you..." She looked down and curled closer to him, resting her cheek against his chest. "I did not enjoy the dream."
His fingers ran comfortingly through her hair and Deacon's hand came to rest on her cheek while he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. The guard murmured into her hair, "Perhaps the dream stopped because I found you." A smile curved his lips.
Her eyes closed as he felt him run his fingers through her long hair and then she leaned her head against his hand, rubbing her cheek against the warm skin. "Perhaps... I am just glad that it stopped." she said softly. "I didn't like it. And I'm not used to having nightmares... I am more used to causing them." she said frowning.
Deacon chuckled softly, he neutral expression giving way to amused agreement for that was very true of the princess. "Speaking of nightmares..." He started to say before he closed the already short space between them to kiss her frown away, "...we should discuss replacing the other guard..."
She felt his warmth growing closer to her and kissed him back, her hand moving up to trail her fingers through his short hair. She laid there a moment before looking up at him and nodding. "I think that would probably be wise... though when I mentioned it to Father... he said that I was being childish..." She said pursing her lips. "Granted I told him that it was because I didn't like him..." she said softly.
"Perhaps I should talk to your father," Deacon suggested. There was far more to the situation than Andais just not liking the other guard. Yes, part of the dilema stemmed from it, but there was more to it that should be explained to the King.
She shrugged softly. "I promised I would not bring it up again, at least not before the Winter Solstace." She said as she watched him. "But you may talk to him all you please." she said as she trailed her fingers through his hair. The replacement of her guard would make the new one the twelth new guard that she'd had. Only Deacon had managed to stick around from the start. The one before the current one, she'd made cry.
An amusing thought popped into his head and he started to laugh, softly at first until he had to muffle his laughter into the pillow momentarily. Before Andais could take the laughter the wrong way, Deacon pressed a finger to her lips, his own still stretched into a humorous grin. He explained that in the human world, sometimes the mortals returned unwanted gifts or packages and then said, "Do you think we could return him?"
She watched him laugh and felt his finger pressed against her lips. After his explaination, her smile spread and she laughed softly. "I wish we could... or perhaps we can put in in a crate and mail him somewhere... like that cartoon cat tried to do with that cute cartoon cat." she said with a small giggle.
Deacon laughed with the princess and added, "I'm picturing...Brazil...or the Sahara." The guard joked.
She nodded her head. "Or Abu Dahabi." she said as she smiled. Her bad dream had been forgotten in her amusement. She looked up at him. "Though I do not think they'd know what to do with a fae."
He grinned, shaking his head, "No, probably not." Deacon chuckled, lifting a hand to cup her cheek while his thumb brushed her bottom lip and asking, "...Feel better?"
She smiled as she leaned her face into his hand. She kissed his thumb softly. "I am feeling better. How do you always seem to know just what I need?" she asked as she rubbed her cheek against his hand. "Even when I don't..."
"Hm..." Deacon narrowed his eyes in thought, comically exagerating the gesture of thoughtfully touching the end of his chin, "I'd say about 200 plus years of observation?" The guard returned his gaze to her, his lips curved upward in amusement as he chuckled softly.
She smacked his forearm gently and playfully shaking her head. She leaned up and kissed him softly. "You observed better than anyone else did... I am sure that I don't even really know what will cheer me up most times." she said as she watched him.
His smiled widened just a tad more, a hint of dark michievousness in his tricolored gaze as Deacon replied, "Oh, I 'm sure there's one or two things we could do to cheer you up." The guard tried to pull off a completely innocent look but after a moment passed, he had to press his lips together to try not to smile and failed miserably, ruining the effect he was going for.
His teasing threw her off a little at first. Her tricolored eyes met his, her brow arching a bit. "you are simply incorrigible." she said with a soft laugh before she nuzzled his cheek.
Oh, yes. He'd said what he'd said. After all, Deacon was male as well as faerie. The elemental fae laughed at her comment and then shrugged as Andais nuzzled his cheek, the gesture seeming to say, "So?" Deacon turned his face to snare her lips in yet another kiss.
She ran her fingers through his hair as he kissed her again, her lips moving smoothly against his as her fingers tangled into his hair. Her eyes falling shut at the feeling of his lips against hers again. Her other hand settled on his shoulder.
Deacon's arms wrapped around Andais' waist, pulling her close before his hands slid up the princess' arms, covering her hands with his. The guard laced his fingers with hers and eventually broke the kiss for air.
She let his fingers lace with hers and rested her forehead against his as he broke the kiss. She breathed in, her eyes fluttering open as she looked up at him. The kiss that they'd shared had been more intimate than anything she'd experienced so far in her life. She attributed that to how she felt about him.
The same could be said for Deacon. Granted he had his fair share of lovers; He was, after all, fae. But he was never as close to any of them as he was to Andais...and he was never in love with the others he'd been with. His expression was unreadable as he stared back at her in the psuedo-darkness and he whispered, "Andais, I..." Deacon started to say, but stopped. He wasn't sure if the two little words he wanted to say next would scare her away or not.
She watched him, not able to read him. She never really had been able to, unless he wanted her to. She was the one that was easily read by him at least. She gave his hand a soft squeeze. "What, Deacon... you know that you can always tell me anything..." she said as she watched him. She slid one of her hands out of his and moved it up to caress his cheek softly.
He took comfort in the caress, leaning into it like a cat as his eyes closed briefly. Deacon then opened them again to stare back at Andais and plowed on after taking a deep breath and letting it out, "When I said I cared for you...it's more than that. I love you." The last was murmured against her cheek when he leaned in and then touched his forehead to hers.
She watched as he leaned into her hand, smiling softly. She loved that she could do that to him. She focused on what he was about to say, not wanting to miss it if it was causing her usually so confidant guard to stall. She felt her heart stop beating at his words. She hadn't expected him to utter those words to her, but she knew exactly how to respond. With the truth. "I love you too, my Deacon. I always have... no one has ever touched my heart the way that you do..." she said as she brushed her nose against his. "And no one ever will in my lifetime. Be my consort..." she said letting her eyes meet his.
Words would never be able to express his feeling of elation or his response. The guard lifted both hands to cup her face, thumbs stroking her cheeks before he bestowed a soft kiss to her lips, "...Yes," Deacon breathed against her lips when he broke the kiss.
Her eyes fluttered as he cupped her face. She returned the soft kiss, her eyes meeting his as he broke the kiss. "I don't think I've ever been this happy." she said as she brushed her lips against his.
"You have no idea how happy that makes me, Andais." Which was deeply true; The princess had been so unhappy since..."that man"...had abandoned her two years ago.
Even with her pet before him or even the Seelie man that she had been taken with whenever she was much younger, she had never really loved them. Love... it had always been just for Deacon. She smiled as she looked at him. "I am glad, my heart." she said as she trailed her fingers through his hair softly.
"Yeah?" Deacon grinned, which then turned sly and michievous once again. His hands dropped to her mid-section and the faerie started to tickle her, "I'm sorry, say that again?" The guard teased.
She giggled as he tickled her and she wiggled on the bed. "No fair! No tickling." she said as she laughed. She moved away from him, trying to get out of his tickling grasp.
The guard let her go with a laugh and rolled onto his back, tucking his arms beneath his head. Deacon chuckled and a look of surrender crossed his face as he settled back on the bed. "Okay, okay. Party pooper."
She watched as he rolled over onto his back and tucked his arms beneath his head. She shook her head and smiled as she crawled back over to him, nuzzling his cheek. "it wasn't fair." she said as she moved her hands to attempt to tickle him. She wasn't sure if he was ticklish or not.
He didn't budget from his spot and a bland expression remained on his face. Deacon's ticklish spot was his feet, but he wasn't about to reveal that to Andais, at least not verbally. He shook his head as he replied, "Nope, not it." As he spoke, Deaon wriggled his toes.
She scrunched her nose as she noticed his feet wriggling as he told her that he wasn't ticklish there. "Feet?" she asked arching her brow.
Deacon's lips twitched in amusement just before he replied simply, "Hm...maybe?"
She rolled her eyes as she moved down to his feet and wiggled her fingers against the bottom of his feet.
His reaction was immediate with his feet jerking away from the offending fingers. Laughter barked from Deacon and he sat up, making a grab for the princess, "Ok, now we're even."
She laughed softly as his feet jerked away from her and he grabbed her. She slid her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek softly. "Yes we are."
Deacon sighed, looking back at Andais and reluctantly murmured, "We should probably make an apperance downstairs..."
She nuzzled his cheek. "Why? I would rather be here with you..." she murmured.
The guard's eyes closed at the nuzzle, his face turning into hers as he dragged his nose along her cheek in return. Deacon mumrmured against her cheek, "As would I, my Princess." He leaned back just enough to gaze into her eyes as he inquired, "Wouldn't you like to see your cousin?"
She let out a contented sigh as he rubbed his skin against hers. She let her eyes meet his. "I can see her later... I like that I've got you all to myself..." she said softly.
A chuckle slipped from his lips and he grinned, "Yeah? I must admit...I do as well." Deacon combed his fingers through Andais' hair and pulled the faerie princess in another kiss again.
"Mhm..." she murmured before he kissed her. Her lips caressed his as she moved her arms to slide over his sides and up along his back.
His hands mimicked the faerie princess', although his fingers sought out the softness of Andais' hair again. Deacon's fingers twisted into the soft locks, feeling the texture before combing through her hair once again.
She let out a content sound as he twisted his fingers into her locks. "You keep doing that and you're going to melt me into a puddle." she mumbled as she pulled back from the kiss, brushing her nose against his
A dark chuckle came from the fiery fae and he fell back on the bed, pulling the princess with him, "Maybe that's my nefarious dark plan." Deacon waggled his brows at her and rolled the two of them onto her back, the coarse whiskers of his beard moving in to tickle her neck briefly.
She laid with him, smiling down at him. "You always have played with my hair...Nothing really Nefarious about that..." she giggled as he rolled them over and his beard moved against her skin, her legs cradling him against her body as she laid beneath him.
Deacon laughed a little more, "Perhaps my plan was to melt you into a puddle, my dear." He waggled his brows at her, lacing his fingers once more with hers and lifting her arms above her head to gently press them against the bed. Short, brief kisses were pressed to the woman's lips before he settled on his side, a finger lazily twining and untwining in her hair again.
She returned the soft kisses as he held her arms above her head. She watched him move to lay on his side next to her and twirl her hair around his finger. A soft smile spread across her lips as she watched him. He made her so happy. She reached over and caressed his face softly. "Then you're doing a very good job and everything is going to plan, my Deacon." she said as she watched him.
A smile spread across his lips and he shifted slightly to comically write upon the palm of his hand, "Mission...accomplished." Deacon chuckled settling back on the bed, a finger reaching out to traced the vine tattoo over the soft curve of her shoulder and along her upper arm.
Her eyes closed as he traced the marks that the Sithen had put upon her body during her 75th year on her birthday. If she'd have been a cat, she'd have been purring at the soft petting that she was recieving. She moved her free hand to trail her fingers through his hair. "I don't thing that I've experienced anything so intimate as this, Deacon..." she said softly. She was fae, so she'd had her fair share of lovers, but this was so much more special.
"...I know," Deacon replied, lifting his gaze to meet hers, a soft smile curving his lips. His arms snaked around her waist to snuggle close and he lay his head near hers on the bed. The hand on her waist traced a finger from her navel all the way up to her heart where his hand then lightly rested there, "It's because of what we feel...here...for each other."
She smiled as he snuggled closer to her, her gaze meeting his. She shivered softly as his finger trailed up along her body. She moved her hand to put it against where his heart was on his chest. "My heart has always been yours in some way... " she said as she watched him. "I think that is part of the reason that I never felt the need to hide from you whenever I'd hide from the others." she said softly.
Deacon's heart skipped a beat at Andais' first string of words. Knowing that now, truly, made it almost difficult to breath for the fiery faerie due to the abundance of emotion that surged forth. Lacing his fingers with hers once again, the guard lifted the back of her hand to his lips, pressing a kiss there.
The guards lips twitched in amusement about her hiding from the other guards. His gaze turned curious and after some contemplation, Deacon finally asked, "Why do you hide on them? I've always wondered that. Why them and not me?"
She watched him lift her hand up to his lips. She bit her bottom lip at his queston. "Because I can't bear to see you worried. It has always bothered me... Even when I was a little girl... the first time that my Nanny lost me, and you had the pinched look of worry on your face... it weighed heavily on my heart..." she said softly.
As Andais spoke, Deacon traced a finger back and forth from the tip of her nose to the spot between her eyes and back again. The movement paused at her admission, but then resumed a moment longer before he shifted to press a kiss to the corner of her mouth and propped himself up with an elbow, "You needn't worry yourself with that any longer, Princess. That is all in the past."
She closed her eyes as she felt the soft kiss against the corner of her mouth. "Please call me, Andais..." she said as she opened her eyes to him. "If you are to be my consort, you should call me by my name..." she said softly.
"As you wish, Andais." The guard murmured softly, a smile on his face. He traced the line of her collarbone closest to him, "You may have to remind me once or twice. It will be difficult to break over 200 years of habit." Deacon chuckled.
She nodded her head as she smiled. "I understand, Deacon... I will remind you." she said as she leaned in and kissed him softly.
Deacon's hand curved around the back of her neck as Andais leaned in to kiss him. He lay back against the bed with the princess in his arms, his hands slowly roved over her body and upon breaking the kiss, the guard was quick to tease her, "But only twice. I have my reputation as your best guard to maintain, after all."
She moved with him, a soft sound escaping her lips as his hands slowly moved over her body, sending soft shivers down her spine. "Of course you're my best guard... and you'll always be my best guard."
"Damn right," Deacon nodded once, a serious expression on his face that quickly dissolved into it's usual lazy grin. But even that evetually faded as he stared up at Andais and whispered, ".....I love you, Andais."
She laughed softly at his bold statement, and her smile softened on her lips the longer they looked at one another. She traced her finger softly over his cheek, and she stopped whenever he repeated those four words that she had never expected to hear, letting them sink in. "I love you too, Deacon." she said as she watched him.
The guard let out a breathe he didn't know he'd been holding. Deacon chuckled a little ruefully and shook his head, "I don't think I'll ever tire of hearing those words."
She smiled as she leaned down and brushed her nose against his. "You have a very very long time to hear them. A very very long time, because I'm not letting go of you."
He wrinkled his nose at the contact, returning the gesture as he replied quietly, "Good, because..." He started to say, pressing a single kiss to her lips, "I think..." Deacon pressed a kiss to the line of her jaw, "It's time..." One hand lifted to ball into her hair to gently tug, tilting her head back to press a kiss to her throat, "I got to know this oh-so-attractive body of yours better."
She kissed him back softly. Her hands resting against the bed on one side and his chest on the other side. She let out a soft moan as he pulled her hair back, letting him move her head where he wanted it. "I agree." she murmured.
