Camping Trip, Part One
Who: Kirsten and Macha
Where: Driving to Macha's family's cabin
When: Friday, November 19th
"Okay, so... I'm sorry. I got my moon phases confused," Kirsten muttered as she drove the pair to the woodsey woods for their traditional camping trip. "I don't know HOW, so don't tease," she blushed. "Call it a blonde moment?" She whimpered, glancing at her friend briefly.
"You seem to have those a lot." Macha making light mention of that fact. "Maybe if we dye your hair a bright red color it'll improve your intelligence." Macha grinned over to her friend. And of course she was merely teasing the blond driving. She wouldn't want her bestest friend to change one little thing about herself.
Kirsten's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Feel the love," she chuckled. "Speaking of love, I totally hooked up with this cute Japanese girl at Avarice last week." Great segue, Kir! "Knowing my track record lately, what with them showing interest for a few days then suddenly disappearing, I don't expect any differently from her. Am I repulsive, or something? And yes. Sigh. I may have had some coffee when you weren't looking."
Macha bit back a frown when she heard about Kir's latest conquest. "You're too easy." Macha let slip out. Hopefully her words wouldn't be taken too offensively. "And no your not repulsive or anything of the sort. And anyone who tells you that is going to have to deal with me." The dark haired were stated matter-of-factly. "Good thing, then, that I packed decaf for this trip." Because the last thing Macha was wanting on this little camping trip of theirs was a Kirsten hyped up on caffeine.
"Too easy," Kirsten repeated with a light frown. Hell, thinking about it... Macha had a point, so she couldn't get angry at her there. "And seriously, decaf? I'll be climbing the WALLS, Max! Only thing worse than me having coffee is DEPRIVING me of it." She giggled and started to slow the car down once the scenery started to get familiar. "What do you want to do first?"
"Get settled in at the cabin, unpack, call my dad to let him know we arrived safely at our destination." Yes, Macha had quite the long list of things to do as soon as the pair reached her family's cabin. "Might even let you drive into town to get some real coffee." She added teasingly with a grin now that they were off the topic of Kir's love hook ups.
"Nah, it's okay. I've got a secret stash at the cabin." The blonde grinned and waggled her eyebrows, giving Macha a wink as she finally pulled them to a park outside the cabin. The drive seemed longer than usual, although she couldn't put a finger on as to why that was. "How 'bout I bring in our stuff while you call your pops? C'mon, how often do you get me to be your pack mule?"
"Secret stash, huh? You mean the stash that was hidden under that loose floor board in the bedroom." Macha gave a knowing grin which just might have indicated that Kir's precious stash was no longer where she thought it might be. "Okay," she consented, "just don't go digging into any of my bags." Macha told her once they were parked and she located her cell phone.
"...You didn't?" Kir gasped. So much for a secret stash, huh? She whimpered audibly as she hopped out of the car, pocketing the keys. "Have I told you that you're pure evil lately? 'Cause you are. Utterly, utterly evil." The blonde pouted as she collected their bags. She was stronger than her slight frame gave her credit for. "And why would I go diggin' through your bags, hm? Do you have a boy hidden in one of them or something?"
"Nah, he's out hiding in the woods waiting for nightfall." Macha grinned punching in her folks house number after exiting the car. "And you adore my evil ways, admit it." She added holding the mobile piece to her ear.
"Yeah, well. That's where he's staying." Kirsten replied sternly as she lugged their bags upstairs. "And you're lucky that's not all I adore about you!" She added, before finding the well hidden key and walking inside the cabin.
"You're not going to be any fun this weekend, are you?" Macha called out after the departing Kirsten. "Hi dad. Yeah we made it alright. No, no. I haven't check the electric yet." Macha continued her phone conversation with her father heading up toward the cabin a moment after her best friend.
"Hi Mister Culann!" Kir practically shrieked as she dumped their bags in the living area. "I promise not to corrupt your daughter!" She poked her tongue out. God, she was a brat at the moment, huh? Giggling, she made her way over to the kitchen area and flipped a light switch.
"Yes dad, she's joking." Macha giving Kirsten a glare when she stepped into the house. "Yes. No, we won't burn any candles inside the cabin. No, no," her voice raising decibel when she glanced over toward Kir with a smirk. "I won't let Kir bring any strange boys up here. Yes, yes. I'll call you before lights out. Bye." Macha said finally quite happy to have ended her conversation with her father.
"'Strange boys'?" Kirsten repeated, arching a slender blonde eyebrow. "God, what I'd give to be out of Narnia already. I hate being so far back in the closet with our families." She flopped bonelessly down on the sofa in the living area and made grabby hands up at Macha.
"You know," Macha plopped herself down on the sofa beside Kir looping an arm around the blonde's shoulders, "you can just come clean with my folks. They're not as dark age as you might think. Besides, I think they kind of know."
"Or at the very least, suspect," Kir agreed, before elaborating as to why that was: "They might have caught my checking out your arse once or twice. But yeah, your parents are cool. Mine would just disown me. Or, mum would. Dad by association. I have never seen a man more frightened of a woman in my life." She giggled, cuddling into Macha.
"Wait a minute." Macha drew back slightly from the blond with a fixed gaze on the girl. "When did they catch you checking out my ass?" Sure she knew that Kir had a tendency to do that. Heck, Macha knew her friend had tendency to do that with most fine figured females she came across. She just never thought Kir would have been careless enough to be caught doing something like that by her parents.
"I don't know. Sometime over the summer. I distinctly remember you were in a bathing suit one time. I just... said that I liked the way it looked on you, and seriously, that was the only thing I could come up with," Kir replied, blushing profusely.
"I won't argue with that. I do look pretty hot in a bathing suit." Macha grinned playfully at the blond.
"God, you have no idea." Kirsten laughed. "Sometimes being your friend is just inhumanely cruel."
"Well, I hope it never becomes unbearable that it would make you quit our friendship. Cause I don't know if I'd be able to survive without my bestest friend." Macha said with a little bit of truth behind her words.
"Puh-lease, it'll take more'n that for you to get rid of me," Kir giggled, cuddling into Macha again. "Seriously. You're kinda stuck with me now."
"Pure torture for me." Macha teased as Kir cuddled up to her again letting fingers gently stroke through the other girl's blond hair. She enjoyed these bonding moments of theirs. Just the two of them. The dark haired were then shook her head ever so slightly when thoughts she refused to accept tried creeping into her head.
"Clearly," Kirsten replied with a faint smile, nuzzling into Macha's neck slightly to take in her scent. She always took comfort in doing so. "C'mon, I promise to cook if you get our stuff situated," she glanced up to look Macha in the eyes before realising: "...I'm totally your bitch tonight, huh?" She usually wasn't so eager to volunteer for things.
"If that's the case, then we're going to have to make a run into town before everything closes up." Which was something Macha wasn't all that eager to do as it would mean getting up, and quite frankly, at the moment she was quite comfortable and enjoying the attention she was getting from Kir.
"Mm," Kir groaned, running the tip of her nose along Macha's neck before pulling back and grinning at her, "Do we hafta?" Since she already knew the answer to that, she sighed and got up, offering Macha a hand: "Fine. I'm totally cooking something unhealthy though."
"Fine." Macha reached out to grab at Kir's hand and give it a little bit of a tug as if intending to pull the girl back down onto the sofa. "I suppose that'll leave me to doing the dishes afterward." Macha added with a little bit of complaint as she worked herself up off the couch.
"Yupyup," Kir laughed, losing her footing slightly and almost toppling them both over again. She wrapped her arms around Macha's waist until they were steady again, "Okay, crisis over. I think. What're you in the mood for? Pizza? Spaghetti? Something equally messy?" She waggled her eyebrows.
"Whatever your little heart desires." Macha grinned slipping an arm around her friend's shoulders. Kirsten wasn't all that bad a cook, so Macha really didn't have a preference of what the blond should cook up for them.
"Good," Kir laughed, giving Macha a quick kiss on the lips before quickly disengaging from her and waggling her eyebrows: "C'mon. Race you to the car!" Before Macha even had a chance to respond, she bolted.
