Going Out for a Jog
Who: Rozewyn and Faith
Where: One of the parks in LA
When: Monday Afternoon, 11/15
Rozenwyn was in dire need of being out in nature. Granted she and Anadis had a lot of plants and nature on their property, but she wanted to be out among the trees and the grass and she found the parks were very good for that. They all seemed to have a lot of trees and bushes, and the grass was plentiful. She was dressed in a dress, rarely did she wear jeans she was still not fully sure if she liked them. They didn't wear them back home. She was sitting on the ground near a tree, enjoying the freedom of being outside, away from man made materials. She didn't want to sit on a bench for now, the metal just churned her stomach.
Faith herself was enjoying something that she didn't get to enjoy all that often: daylight. She had managed to wake up before the afternoon today, and wanted to take advantage of it. Since she typically only saw the dark of night, her skin was starting to pale, and Faith did NOT look good with pale skin. So, she decided to hit up one of the parks in LA and do some jogging. Wearing just enough clothing so that she wouldn't get arrested (a black sports bra and tiny red shorts), she did a few stretches before setting out on a leisurely jog.
Roz watched people move around the park, the kids playing basketball, the mothers pushing their babies in carts or on swings, the people running. She saw the brunette who was barely dressed, at least by human standards, and was curious how it was a human would come out here, and wear so little. You only tended to see that on the beaches or at the pools.
Faith wore as little clothing as humanly possible because...well, she was Faith damnit! Plus, it was still warm enough in LA to get away with it, so why not? Plus, running causes sweating, which causes clothing to stick and become uncomfortable. Faith for the moment kept up her job, hoping to at least get a little bit of a workout along with enjoying the sun.
Roz, as was her being, wouldn't stop the woman to speak. She would observe and she would watch. She wouldn't deny the brunette was very pretty for a human, one of the more beautiful. She also seemed to take care of her body so many here just didn't seem to care. It was rather frustrating to the faerie.
Faith actually took a pit stop near the faerie, in order to grab a drink of water from the fountain near her and take a quick stretch again. She was here more for the sun than a true workout anyway. She looked over at the other brunette. "Nice day, isn't it?"
"It is pleasant," she said with a slight nod as she looked the other woman over, before looking at her face, "I find California has decent weather, no matter the time of year."
"Gotta love California for that," Faith said with a grin. "Or I'd have to wear a itchy jogging suit or something for this." Which would not have been cool at all.
"That sounds, uncomfortable," she said thinking about something itchy being on her and then running. That sounded horrible actually.
"It would be terribly uncomfortable," Faith agreed with a nod. "That's why we should be awesomely grateful that California has good weather." They just had to put up with vampires and earthquakes. It's a trade.
Roz simply smiled. She had nothing to really say to that, the Sithen always had the correct weather for what was needed, and if she went out there, they were off the island of Ireland and there was a lot of rain, she didn't mind rain, what she hated was snow.
"So, I take it that you're not a local?" Faith asked. She wasn't sure what it was that made her think that, but this girl just didn't look like your typical California beach babe. Which, in LA, made her all the more interesting.
"No, I am not a local. I have been here six months," she said looking up at the other woman. She wasn't big on the over share, she simply said what she felt was needed, if the girl wanted more, she could ask. Roz was out in the human world enough to not be offended by their questions.
Faith gave her a nod. "I'm not a local, either, but I've been here a little bit longer." Of course, she had run away from her home because she no longer liked it there. "I love it here, myself. Definitely having a much better time here than in Boston. I'd be covered in snow right now if I were still there."
"I don't believe i have ever been to Boston," she thought aloud. She didn't recall that being where she and Anadis were last time, she didn't even recall if it was in this country, it might have been Europe, it was probably Europe somewhere.
"Don't let anyone from my hometown hear me saying this, but you're not missing much," Faith pointed out to her. "California is wicked awesome compared to Boston, especially since you don't have to walk around looking like an Eskimo four to five months out of the year."
"What is an Eskimo?" she asked. She didn't pry about personal things, but an Eskimo? She hadn't come across an Eskimo, now that was something that sounded...odd? She wasn't sure, but she figured if this woman could reference it she could explain.
Frankly, this actually didn't strike Faith as totally odd. She herself didn't catch a lot of stuff because she hadn't made it past the ninth grade in school, and hadn't went much for a few years before that. For all she knew, this chick was a bit sheltered. "Guys who wear huge coats and live in the snow up north, like, in Canada or something," Faith said. "Definitely not for me."
"Odd. Not something I will see here, then." She figured she'd have to go look up a picture, the bookstore or library would have pictures. She couldn't do computers, she tried once and hated the thing. She'd never do that again.
"Yeah, but you can totally find pictures of them in books and stuff," Faith said to her, not realizing she was thinking the same thing. "I'm Faith, by the way."
She smiled, "A book will have pictures, yes I will have to go and find some." She looked up at the girl and said, "I'm Rozenwyn"
"Nice to meet you," Faith said to her. "I think one of the public libraries isn't too far from here." She was sure Giles had told her that once, anyway.
"I have been too it a few times, I will go back and look up Eskimos" she said knowing she would. She was getting to know the librarian.
Faith nodded. "Cool," she said. "Well, I should probably get back to my jogging and let you get back to your communing with nature," she said. "Nice to meet you, though."
She smiled, "Enjoy your jog, it is a nice day to be outside and enjoying nature."
