Catching Up
Who: Iris and Patience
Where: Eden
When: Friday night, October 22nd
It was fair to say that Patience hadn't seen Iris for a while... A while being a fact that she'd had a kid and was part demon now. Patience had dealt with those issues now... Or as much as she COULD, anyway, and was now dreadfully missing one of her besties, Iris. Which was why she had invited the other woman to Eden for the night, gleefully unaware of certain... rumors that had been floating around lately. Being a hermit will do that to you.
So, wearing black leather pants and an ungodly tight corset, the redhead made her way inside Eden with a devilish smirk on her face.
Iris herself had thought that the rumors had been dealt with. She didn't realize that the rumors were still going around. She had been mortified that someone thought that her and Pat were having an affair. Considering that had been done to her, she would never repeat that hurt on someone else. When she saw Patience, she grinned and gave the girl a wave, flagging her to come over to the table. Wearing a short, long sleeved blue dress, she looked great, but she wasn't going to compare to Patience's raw sex appeal. She knew that.
Patience grinned and made her way over, sitting down opposite Iris. "Well, don't you look good enough to eat." She was being honest there, and was only MILDLY sexual with her tone.
After hanging with her and Gwen for so long, Iris was just used to it. "Says the girl walking in wearing a corset," Iris pointed out. "So, how's motherhood treating you?"
Patience just looked down at her breasts and grinned. "They ARE awesome, aren't they?" As for the question about motherhood... "Surprisingly well, actually. Cash is just ADORABLE. I think he mostly takes after Pat," she admitted, souring a little there.
"I'm sure he'll get your razor sharp wit when he learns to talk," Iris said to her with a grin. God, she couldn't WAIT to have kids with Jeremy, but she was kind of hoping to be married first before that happened. She did NOT want to walk down the isle looking like a whale in a white dress.
"Maybe," Patience agreed before laughing. "One thing that's KILLING me is that I can't drink yet." Yes, she was still breastfeeding. What a lovely image, hm?
Iris smirked. "Such a terrible fate," she said with a laugh. "How much longer do you have to wait, anyway?"
Patience actually knew the answer to that. Wasn't that fabulous? "Aboooout two months. Come Christmas, you and I are going to get BLITZED. Until then, Patience is a good little girl." She smirked.
Iris giggled. "I can only imagine what our New Year's is going to be like then." Probably a city wide club crawl with two exasperated hubby's cleaning them up the next afternoon.
Most likely, yeah. Poor Pat. Patience sometimes wondered whether he had the patience of a SAINT, given the trouble she still got into (Trying to strangle Skylar, anyone?). "I promise it won't be something you'll easily forget." She grinned.
"Or something I'll never be able to remember due to all of the alcohol," Iris said with a smirk. "Sounds like a typical New Year's, honestly," she said with a giggle.
Patience rubbed her chin mock-thoughtfully, but it only lasted so long before she was grinning again. "We'll make it special." She chuckled. "Do you want a drink? Just because I can't have one doesn't mean that YOU shouldn't. I promise not to take advantage of you."
Iris smiled at her. "Fine, I'll have a drink for you then," she joked, flagging a waitress and ordering a banana daiquiri.
Patience couldn't help it but laugh then. "Banana? I approve." She would, the perv. "So come on, spill. What's been happening with YOU lately?"
Iris rolled her eyes. "Not too much," she said to Patience. "Really just working at the bookstore and hanging out with Jeremy and making wedding plans." She was hoping that, since it had been a while, she could look into getting a teaching gig again at a different school. Maybe a private one or something.
"God, if you need help looking for naughty lingerie for the honeymoon..." Patience laughed, waggling her eyebrows. "So, I guess it's my fault for us not hanging around much lately. I've missed you, Iris." Aw. That was surprisingly sweet for Patience...
Iris giggled. "Who knows, I may take you up on that offer," she said with a grin. She DID need a good eye, after all. "I could have called you. I just didn't want to interrupt mommy-Cash bonding time, you know?"
"That's understandable. Between us? I didn't think that I'd take to motherhood so well. I STILL think that I'd traumatise the poor boy," Patience cackled. "I think you would, though. Be a good mother, I mean."
"As long as you love him and try, you'll be fine," Iris said. Then she smiled. "Thanks. I certainly hope so when the time comes."
"When the time comes," Patience agreed. "It's not like you're an old maid or anything NOW." She laughed and stood up. "I'm gonna go powder my nose. When I come back, d'you wanna go catch a movie or something? I'm gonna be a bad influence and keep you out past midnight," she grinned.
"I didn't mean it that way!" Iris squealed, laughing. "I'm just in no rush is all. I'm taking life a step at a time."
She grinned at Patience. "I'm sure Jeremy will live if we stay out late. We'll figure out something to do."
"Perfect," Patience grinned, giving Iris a flirty little wink. "Meet me out the front in five?"
Iris smiled and nodded, finishing off her drink. "See you there."
