Ending Credits
Who: Death and Sin (Sounds like a horror movie)
Where: Streets of LA
When: Oct. 10th, same time as the Buffy/War fight
Thanatos walked the streets of LA, looking for...well, he wasn't sure what he was looking for. After the night of the fire falling from the sky, he had actually been...dare he say it, enjoying himself. Deaths from hearts stopping had went up dramatically, and now he was stalking the night, hoping to find yet another couple of people to go after and have them shake off their mortal coil.
Poor Sin. The clumsy, goofy slayer was on her way to Tierce's place, dressed in a sweet, girly black skirt, her hair done nicely, and... oh my GOD, was she wearing MAKEUP? Yes.. yes she was. She stopped as she passed a cutlery store, looking at a few of the replica swords they had on display in the window. Heh. She'd consider buying one if she didn't think the thought of her with a sword would give Delilah a heart attack...
Thanatos was actually just strolling by Sin when the hair stood up on the back of his neck for a second when he started to pass her. Hmm....something was different about this girl. Very interesting...
Sin, of course, was clueless. As usual. She actually WAVED at him as he walked by, just trying to be polite. The big doofus.
He blinked. Well, that was a reaction that he'd never experienced before. "People rarely wave to me," he more muttered to himself than to her. That actually confused him a little.
"Dude. Maybe it's because of that scowl. Seriously. Smile a little, man!" She said, TRYING to be helpful. Leave it to Sin to attempt a conversation.. with DEATH.
He actually blinked when she talked to him. He wasn't too sure what to make of it. Other than his sibling, no one usually did. People didn't usually notice him, actually. "I shall try that," he said, smiling slightly. Unfortunately, his smile was a bit...unnerving.
"Damn. Ok, you know what? Maybe ixnay the smile." She said, deadpan. "So... yeah. I... um... I should probably get going. So, have a good one. Or something." Yeah, so she was a slayer, but this guy was CREEPY. She just... felt uneasy around him.
There was a reason for that. Death was not known for exactly comforting people. Her discomfort actually made him smile a little more. DEFINITELY creepy. He couldn't help it, though. Not that he would if he could. "Not sure if I should let you do that."
"When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."
Damn he loved announcing himself like that.
"...right." Sin looked at him, blinking hilariously. "So, aside from bein' a flaming nutjob, you wanna get ta steppin'?"
He actually chuckled. "I don't think you have any idea who I am, do you?" he asked her, still grinning. "I'm Death, child, and I'm not going anywhere."
"Death." She thought, sighing to herself. "Oh. Freakin' WONDERFUL." Normally she'd scoff, but hey! Buffy HAD just fought War after all. "So, what, how's this work? You touch me and I keel over or something? Because I'm TOTES not ready to go yet, dude."
"Death is not something that you can escape," he said to her, taking a stop closer to her. He was more than happy to send a Slayer along to her grave, actually. "Not even a Slayer can do so."
"Right. See, this is where you better hope you can run like Flo-Jo, pal, because my pale, scrawny ass is OUTTA here..." she started to turn around, ready to book it out... before sighing to herself and realizing that if she didn't at least TRY to fight... what kind of slayer WAS she? Fuck. Fine. She turned, and kicked the window out of the cutlery store, and grabbed the first replica broadsword she saw, wielding it like something out of a D&D game. "This is gonna suck for one of us, dude."
"I'm not sure who Flo Jo is, but I can get anyone," he said to her, and then watched as she busted out the window and snagged a sword from it. "I suppose it shall, child," he said simply, starting to walk toward her.
"Then this is it. A fight to the finish. My one moment of greatness, live or die." She took a deep breath, tightening her grip on the sword... and began to charge toward him. This would be Sin's first and FINEST moment as a Slayer.... and yep, you guessed it: she tripped. And fell face-first to the ground with a loud "SON OF A BITCH!" as the sword flew awkwardly out of her hands.
And it flew right into Death's chest, piercing him right through his heart. It was a look of pure amazement that crossed his face as he looked from Sin...to the big sword sticking out of his chest. He collapsed backwards, falling to the ground in a heap.
"...oh my god..." Sin muttered as she looked up after faceplanting to the ground. She walked over, and kicked at him lightly, nudging his body with her foot. Death was gone. In it's place was just... a dead, human body. "Did... Did I just kill DEATH? ....This... this is AWESOME!!!"
