Is Damon Still Around?

It had been a while since Lena had heard from Damon. A LONG while. It had actually been long enough so that Lena had become worried about him. Lena was still getting used to having feelings other than lust and something akin to happiness at inflicting pain, and worry was definitely something new. She wasn't sure that she had even been 'worried' when Luke first disappeared. That was more akin to rage than anything.

Still, she was worried about Damon, so she wanted to go and see how he was doing. She knew that he had split with the Slayer, and that Bella had left LA soon afterward. She just hoped that he hadn't done anything stupid like greet the sunrise over it.

After driving her car over to his apartment building, she took the elevator up and, once she reached Damon's apartment, she lifted her hand up and knocked on the door, then reaching down to smooth out her black Chanel dress as she waited for someone to answer.

The attractive redheaded vampire would probably be getting the shock of her undead life. Damon did not answer the door, in fact, it was another vampire that looked decidedly different from the younger vampire she had known for a portion of her life as a vampire. A dark haired man of seemingly Asian decent opened the door, a hand gripping the doorframe lightly. He wore dark jeans, dark brown boots, and a gray sweater. The sleeves were pushed up toward his elbows, revealing his intricately tattoo'd forewarms. Yoshiro Minekura stood there, an expectant look on his features.

	Lena narrowed her eyes at the young man who answered the door. This was most troublesome. "I suggest you explain who you are and what you're doing in Damon's apartment," she said simply to him. If he didn't give her an exceptional explanation, then there might be problems. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yoshi didn't even try to suppress a sigh that heaved his shoulders and he backed away from the door to let Lena into the apartment. Just how many women had Damon managed to break their heart? The much older vampire, who had seen the rise of Genghis Khan himself, started cursing and muttering in Japanese that Damon owed him big time. Running a hand through his long hair, a brief smile was flashed at Lena before he launched into his explanation, "Damon contacted me a few weeks ago asking for a favor. He left all his affairs in my care while he...goes off finding himself." The vampire threw up his arms in frustration, "He said it was something about two women he'd been banging." Yoshiro shrugged and then crossed his arms while he regarded Lena.

She walked past him and into the apartment, smiling a tad as the other vampire explained just where Damon was. "Off to find himself. Then hopefully one of those girlfriends doesn't find him first."

She turned back toward Yoshi after she had come into the apartment. "Damon didn't exactly have the best luck with women in the past year." She chuckled. "And before you say or think anything, I am not one of those. We were just friends."

She looked him over. "So, do you have a name? I'm sure Damon owes you big time, by the way. I wouldn't look forward to when Adrianna comes over looking for him." In five hundred years, you tend to pick up plenty of languages, so she did know Japanese.

	Well, at least there was some mild relief in the knowledge that Lena wasn't another woman in the line of Broken Hearts. The vampire introduced himself, "Yoshiro. Yoshiro Minekura." At the other vampire's comment about Damon owing him big deal, Yoshi snorted and rolled his eyes, "He has no idea." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I'm Lena Jacobs," she said to him. She should really look into changing her last name, although she had no idea what she would change it to. She just wanted to have every last shred of Luke erased from her being. "I'm sure he doesn't have any idea," Lena said to him. "Have you been visited by either of his former paramours?" 	"Adrianna." Yoshi replied, rolling his eyes, "That was fun. While attractive, she was generally not fun angry." The older vampire took a seat on one of the white easy chairs and indicated that Lena could have any seat she wanted. "I can only imagine how fun she is while angry," Lena said, taking the seat that was offered. "I've met her once. She's very...intense." Not much worried Lena, but Adrianna did occasionally. Not that she'd admit to it, though.

"Other than my general curiosity about you, I'm not sure," she said to him with a slight smile. Damon had never mentioned this person before, so Lena was just dying of curiosity about this man.

	"How did you and Damon meet?" Of course, part of that question was when did they meet. She had the feeling that he was older than Damon. Maybe even older than her. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Yoshi was silent as he recalled when he met Damon and then gazed at Lena to reply, "It was shortly after he parted ways with Katrina. I was still wandering around Asia at the time when I got mixed up in a very disagreeing mob and he saved my ass."

Lena smirked. "That is what he's usually good at, saving someone's ass," she said. "Of course, when it comes to his own ass, he gets a little too involved with too many women and has to go away for a while." She shook her head. "The other one was a Slayer. Lucky for you I believe she's in Vegas now. She may not take well to coming here and finding you."

"Seeing as I already mailed her, her Dear John letter from Damon and she hasn't shown up yet?" Yoshiro stood, "I don't think she'll be a problem." The vampire was actually glad Bella hadn't shown up, he hated clingy women. Heading into the kitchen area, he put a kettle on to boil and offered, "You want some tea?"

"Yes, please," she said in response to the offer for tea. "She's quite a hot headed little thing, so you never know about that." It was part of what had made her oh so interesting to Luke, after all. Well, she supposed so. She didn't really get it. She could only assume it had something to do with the girl being a Slayer as well. He always *did* have a thing for those.

"Which is why I'd rather her not come back here." Retorted the older vampire. He started pulling out a couple of mugs and asked the attractive vampire, "What do you take in your tea?"

"Just some cream, actually," Lena said to him. "I don't think you'll have to deal with her, but at least you'll know what you're up against if she does decide to rear her head back around LA."

After some rummaging in the fridge, Yoshi produced some cream out in time for the kettle to shriek that it was done. He poured water in both mugs, added cream in Lena's and inserted two tea bags in each mug.

Returning to the living room area, he handed one mug over the slightly younger vampire and sat down again. "Well, thank you for the heads up."

She took a small sip of her tea and smiled. "You're welcome," she said to him. "So, what are you here to do exactly? Keep Damon's business interests in check and such?" She actually wasn't aware of what all Damon had an interest in.

"Keep an eye on Adrianna and Bella, but since the Slayer moved to Vegas, she's of no concern to me." Yoshi took a sip of own tea and nodded at Lena's state, "It's as you say, I'm keeping track of his business arrangements."

"I'm sure that Adrianna can keep an eye on herself, though," Lena said. "None of us around here know how old she actually is. I bet she'll be fine." She took another sip of her tea. "I'm sure his business arrangements will take more watching over, though."

"Those are keeping me busy enough." Replied Yoshi with a sigh, "I really don't need some woman complicating things any more than they already are."

"Then you shouldn't have agreed to take things over for Damon," Lena said with a small smile on her face. "He got himself into quite a situation here, after all. He fell in love with a human slayer and, after she disappeared, tried to move on with an ancient vampire, only for the Slayer to reappear." She chuckled. "Quite the situation."

"No shit, lady." Quite frankly, Yoshi was quite mad at the younger male vampire for being so cowardly. If he knew were Damon had gone, Yoshi would've gone there and dragged the vampire back by the roots of his hair. But...while the very old vampire tended to display a "tough" attitude, he was really just a softie and helped Damon because, well...he'd asked for help.

His statement just made her chuckle again. "Well, I'll leave you to it," she said, finishing her tea and standing up. She reached into her purse and pulled out a card with her name and phone number on it. "Do call if you need anything, even if it's just someone to...vent to."

Yoshi stood up along with her. He stepped toward her as she handed out the card and plucked it out of her fingers. The vampire looked it over and then nodded, "I might end up taking you up on the offer." As he stuck the card in one of the back pockets of his pants, he apologized, "I'm sorry you came here expecting to see Damon and didn't." Yoshi shrugged, "Perhaps I can extend the same offer to you. Come over any time you'd like to talk."

"It's fine," she said back to him. "I am sorry that I reacted with such hostility at first." She nodded when he said that he would extend her the same offer. "I may take you up on that as well."
