A Little Embarassing
Who: Isabella and Gabriel
Where: The Hyperion
When: Sept. 9th, Afternoon
While Kayla wasn't due to meet him here for a while, Gabriel had come in a little early so as to prepare for their training for the day. He'd had a little extra giddy up in his step ever since Kayla and him had...spent the night together, and was actually feeling bright and cheery today, which might be a first for ever. He was in one of the training rooms, humming to himself as he got the equipment set up for them.
Isabella had been planning to do the same for Bethany. Setting up a training area that is, NOT sleeping with her Slayer when she heard the sound of... Was that humming? in one of the rooms. She went over to investigate, only stopping at the threshold to the door and crossing her arms against her breasts. SOMEONE was in a good mood, wasn't he? She didn't bother to announce herself. Instead, she waited to see how long it would be before he realized she was there.
It actually took him a few good seconds to realize that someone was watching him, causing him to jump with a surprised yelp. "Oh! Ms. Delallo! How are you doing today?"
Isabella actually smiled then. "Don't tell me. You've had a Diabetics Nightmare down at The Sugar Shack recently'" she joked lightly before nodding, "I've been good. What about you?" She tilted her head to the side curiously.
He shook his head. "I have no idea what that is," he admitted. He avoided those sugary things like the plague. "I've been doing quite well, actually." More so than he was able to talk about with her.
It amused her to no end to see him quite so... Well, CHEERFUL. He had a personality, after all! She barely suppressed a laugh at the thought. "Might this have something to do with the hickie on your neck?"
His hand actually flew up and touched the spot where Kayla had bitten him. Damn, he had forgotten about that! "Um...maybe..." He admitted. Not like he could hide it now, right? Not like he was going to admit WHO it came from.
Okay, the deer-in-the-headlights look was just PRICELESS. Had she known it was from Kayla, there likely would have been raised voices. Luckily, she didn't ask. What she DID say, however, was: "Well, good for you. Proof that not all Watchers are hermits."
He cleared his throat. "Ah, yes...quite," he said, pulling up the collar of his shirt in a vain effort to cover up the bite that had been left by Kayla.
She smirked. "Actually, while I've got you, I wanted to ask about Kayla." Isabella paused briefly, trying to think of the best way to ask. "How has she been? Has she been difficult, at all?"
He took a deep breath. "She's been doing a little bit better," he told Isabella. "Hasn't been starting any more fights, anyway." He looked at her. "Sorry about that."
Isabella shrugged. "I'm just glad that she's getting the attention that she needs." Even the mun had to snicker a little at that. "Obviously you're a good influence on her."
He nodded and cleared his throat. "I'm glad to be helping her out in any way that I can." And he said that without irony. Impressive.
Isabella smiled faintly and nodded approvingly, "Good. I'm glad you're here, Mr. Burgess." She checked her watch and sighed. Unfortunately this little discussion had set her behind. "I'll leave you to it." That was possibly the nicest she'd treated anyone in a work capacity. If only she knew, hm?
