Maddie's Bein' All Gushy
Who: Maddie and Rachelle
Where: Avarice
When: Epically backdated to Tuesday, August 17th
"Aw, HELL to the YES!" Rachelle exclaimed as she walked downstairs into Avarice, noticing that the DJ was actually playing one of the songs she'd given them that she wrote and performed herself, as a bit of a solo project. "DUDE!" She tried yelling over to the DJ, mostly just mouthing the words due the volume. "You rule, man!" She laughed, prancing down the steps in a black and white plaid schoolgirl skirt, black thigh-high stockings, Docs, and a slightly baggy Steelers jersey with Jerome Bettis' name and number on it, a Terrible Towel hanging from her side, her hair in pigtails. "I kinda love this place..."
Maddie was sitting at the bar, dressed in a pleated skirt and a white three-quarter length dress shirt open at the cleavage, her pink hair in a loose ponytail. Her cousin, Kayla, was bartending tonight, which dampened whatever good mood she might have been in significantly. They never really got along well, and lately? She kinda wanted to punch her in the face. She turned on her stool, looking away from the girl, with a beer in her hand, and laughed when she spotted Rachelle.
"Hey there Pinky!" Chelle said with a shit-eating grin as she plopped her ass down next to Maddie, throwing an arm across the other girl's shoulders. "Hear that AWESOME shit the DJ's spinnin'? Totally me. Because I fucking ROCK."
"Uh huh." Maddie started feeling Rachelle’s head, "Wow, y’know. I really didn’t realize how BIG your head was until now," she joked.
"Yeah, cuz yer too focused on my tits to notice anything else." Chelle said with a big grin and matching laugh.
"Well, come ON. They're right THERE. I just wanna motorboat them half the time." Ha! 'Half'?
"Annnnd I can't say I blame you. They ARE pretty bad-ass." She said, jiggling them in a Neely-like fashion. "So how ya been, my favorite drinkin' buddy?"
Maddie just grinned. Hey! It was a good visual! Shut the fuck up. "Mostly good." She grinned then, thinking of Gunn. "Mostly very good."
"Awesome. You got the look of a bitch who's been gettin' some. I know that look cuz I'VE been gettin' some again." Ah, Rachelle. Ever classy.
"No, we haven't had sex yet," Maddie replied, and yes, wasn't that surprising? Half the time she took randoms home two hours after meeting them (or in the case of Gwen, much much less than that). "He's just very... yum."
"He? Dude... Maddie's gettin' the dick? Go you!" Oh god. At this point the MUN was begging Rachelle to stop. "And what's stopping you? Usually you're easier than second-grade English."
"Oh God," Maddie shook her head. "That's the thing. I get all shy and CUTE around him. Cute!" She flailed. "He literally hasn't seen me bitchy and for the life of me, I really don't want him to. He... would BOLT. And he's SO pretty." Oh. My. God. She was gushing!
"So tell me about him, girl! I wanna hear about the dude lucky enough to be with your hot ass." Aw. Coming from Rachelle? This was actually sweet. Somehow, she'd gone from thinking of Maddie as a funny annoyance to an actual friend.
"His name's Gunn, he's just... solidly built and has the most beautiful eyes," oh god, even SHE wanted to stab herself for how gushy she was about him, "I kinda call him 'Mocha Love', but don't repeat that to ANYONE. He'd be mortified."
"Moc..." She started, before letting her eyes widen. "DUDE! You got yerself a brutha! Ok. You KNOW you have to tell me if the old wives' tales are true. Seriously." Shut up Rachelle. Please. PLEASE. "And seriously... I get that thing with the eyes." Uh-oh. She had NEVER admitted this to anyone... a true show of faith here in a friend? "I'd never cheat on Neely, but... I never thought a GUY could have gorgeous eyes till I met Ethan. Seriously."
Maddie had actually been attempting to take a sip of her drink when Rachelle started talking again. Not wise, huh? She practically choked on the damn thing. "Dude!" Although in thinking about it, she probably WOULD tell Rachelle, if it came to that. "It's just a shame that you guys don't like to share."
"Yeah, I know. See, here's the thing. I'd totally be down with doin' you. AND I'd prolly be ok with lettin' your guy hit this if he's as hot as you say. BUT." She snickered, admitting her own laughable morals. "The second Neely touched either of you I'd probably punch someone."
The pink-haired girl chuckled and once she was certain that Rachelle had stopped speaking, she took a mouthful of her beer. "Well, I know firsthand that that’s not one-sided. Your wife scares me," she admitted with a laugh.
"Neely can be intense when it comes to me. We've... been through a lot together." Chelle admitted. "When I was in the hospital... I realized HOW much she loved me. My friend Skylar told me Neely barely left my side unless her friend Ash practically MADE her."
"That's what they call 'love', baby," Maddie chuckled. She'd been in love a few times herself. Had her heart broken, as well. Which was why she clammed up and generally went all bitchy on people. Still, the occasional person got through to her. Rachelle being one of them. And Gunn, obviously.
"Funny enough? She'll NEVER admit it, but I think you make Neely nervous. Shh." Chelle grinned, looking around to make sure Neely wasn’t around first before saying it.
"Pssh," was Maddie's very astute reply. Clearly, she’d had a few drinks before 'Chelle got to her, hm? Speaking of which, she swiveled in her seat to order two more. "Thanks Kay," she muttered.
"Seriously. Because she knows that while, yes, we're just friends, we obviously dig each other a LOT. Same reason she gets all antsy about me spending time with Ethan." Strangely, Chelle found Neely's... possessiveness adorably sweet.
"That's adorable." Maddie pinched 'Chelle's cheek before handing her a beer. She felt that Gunn had the same mentality, honestly, which was why she didn't go out of the way to have random hook-ups anymore. Although, surprisingly, she didn't find that difficult to do.
"He's a lucky guy, you know. Gunn, I mean." Chelle said with a sweet smile. Hey... if they were going to be REALLY friends... you couldn't be shitty ALL the time. "You're gorgeous, obviously... but you're really an awesome chick, too."
"Thanks," Maddie replied, for once just... taking the compliment. "Don't let that get out, though. Wouldn't want to sully my good fuckin' reputation," she winked. Ah, clearly these two were destined to be friends, hm?
