WHO: Scarlett and Jarrod WHEN: Thursday ,July 15 WHERE: Their crypt
SCARLETT:: Shortly after sunset, Scarlett awoke. Her eyes snapped open, something in the crypt felt off, like she could sense something not quite right in the air. Sitting up quickly, Scarlett turned her head slowly about the room, her eyes scanning every square inch of the place, and a pissed off frown appeared on her face. Everything seemed to be right. Maybe she was losing it, had finally went a little too far off the deep end. Scar ran a hand through her hair, pushing her long black locks out of her face and let out a huffy little breath.
JARROD:: Jarrod had been awake for a little longer, having risen early to get some training in. He was doing one-armed pushups when Scarlett bolted up into a sitting position. Hopping up, he looked over at her, brows crinkling together in concern. "Everything ok, babe?"
SCARLETT: Scarlett looked over at him and after a moment, gave him a small nod. “I’m fine. How long have you been at it?” She asked, curiously. He spent an awful lot of time training for his new fighting career, not that it bothered her, and it was actually quite the sight to see. Scarlett leaned over the stone slab she had been lying on and swooped up her pack of cigarettes. Some habits really do die hard. She thought to herself with a smirk.
JARROD:: "About an hour, give or take. I want to make a hell of an impression. So... you have a nightmare or something?" Clearly, he was too concerned about her to let this one go. He really COULD be maddeningly single-minded when he was set on something.
SCARLETT:: Using the time it took to light her cigarette and take the first drag to give her a moment to try and come up with something, she eventually shook her head. “Not a nightmare, no. Really, babe, I’m fine.” She didn’t exactly want to say she woke up and felt like she was being watched. Scarlett hopped down, leaving her pack of cigarettes behind on the slab.
JARROD:: He walked up behind her, hands clasping around her hips, as he placed a few soft, sweet kisses along her shoulders. "So what would you like to do tonight, my love?"
SCARLETT:: Scarlett nuzzled against Jarrod and rested her head on his chest for a moment in a sort of armless hug. She lifted her head to take another hit from her cigarette and looked up at him. “Whatever you would like to do. It’s been a while since we’ve actually spent a night together. I’ll even call work and tell them I just don’t feel like coming in tonight and they can deal with it.”
JARROD:: "I think we can work with that..." He said, silently thrilled about that, as ANY night she wasn't taking her clothes off for other men? Was a great night for him. He was hoping he'd quickly make enough cash in this fighting league that she'd have no more excuse to have to do it...
SCARLETT:: “I’m glad.” Scarlett replied with a smile. And Jarrod could try all he liked, but no matter how much cash he was bringing in, she would still keep her job at the club. It amused her, watching everyone want what they couldn’t have…her. “I was thinking,” Scarlett said, sliding the fingers of her free hand down his arm lightly, “That maybe we could go into town, see what we can get ourselves into.” Her smile turned into a wicked little smirk.
JARROD:: "I love the mischief in your eyes when you say that..." He laughed, leaning in to kiss her neck, fingers tangling in her hair, giving it a light tug.
SCARLETT:: Scarlett gave a light chuckle at that and then nipped at his chest playfully. She let her cigarette drop and crushed it with the toe of her boot. “And if we get really bored, I could always slink into the bar and let some unsuspecting male hit on me for a while, get you all angry and territorial until you can’t control it , and watch you rip his throat out later.” That sounded like the perfect end to an evening, to her at least. There was nothing sexier than watching Jarrod kill.
JARROD:: "Now... THAT.... I *really* like the sound of." Appealing to the new vampire's still-constant bloodlust? Always a good idea. "You know... before we go out..." He gave her a grin that was just FULL of bad intentions, and winked to her. "Maybe we could find SOMETHING to keep ourselves occupied for a while..."
