Walking on a Dream Who: Bastian and Meeghan Where: Meeghan’s new apartment When: Wednesday Afternoon - July 14th
It had been an unbearably long time since Bastian had seen Meeghan, so much so that they leggy blonde went to the singer's apartment unannounced and knocked on the front door, shuffling her feet excitedly. She couldn’t help it. Even the prospect of seeing Meeghan put her in a good mood. Today, she was wearing skinny jeans and brown calf-high boots with a matching tight-fitting t-shirt (which had a cartoon outline of a cow on it, cutely enough), her long blonde hair falling freely over her shoulders, and some fruity shine lip-gloss. Honestly, she'd never worn make-up, but looking like she did, was it any wonder? She knocked again with a small pout, quietly wondering when she'd gotten so impatient.
The only downside to living in her new, within walking distance to the beach, apartment that Meeghan found was that the laundry room was in the basement of the complex, and it was from there the ebony haired singer was coming from with a basketfull of clean clothes when Bastian knocked a second time at her door.
"If you're expecting someone to answer you're gonna be kind of disappointed." Meeghan called just catching the knock at her door as she climbed the final few steps up to the landing. And imagine her surprise when she caught sight of the backside of her visitor. A pleasant surprise that had Meeghan smiling before Bastian even turned to face her.
Bastian turned and that pout disappeared instantaneously, replaced with a smile, one that truly looked like it lit up her entire face. "Well, that's what I get for being impulsive," she replied. "Do you need help with that?" She asked with an arched eyebrow as she shoved her hands into her back pockets.
"I think I can manage, thanks." Meeghan answered with a smile. "The door should be unlocked." She told the girl as she took steps towards her and the door of her one bedroom apartment.
"Oh, cool," Bastian replied before slipping inside. She held the door open politely as she waited for Meeghan to enter the apartment, before closing the door behind her. "Missed you," she murmured, smooching Meeghan's cheek playfully before flopping bonelessly down on the couch.
"Just make yourself comfortable, Tink." Meeghan said with a half laugh as she proceeded onward to her bedroom after Bastian practically threw herself down on the sofa. Deciding that the sorting of laundered clothes could wait til later, as her present company held more of a priority with Meeghan then washed clothes, the singer left the basket sitting atop of her bed and returned to the living room and the blond.
By the time Meeghan had returned to the living room, Bastian had taken off her boots and was stretched out along the length of the couch. She gave Meeghan a cheeky little grin and made grabby hands up at her. "It occurs to me that I don’t have a nickname for you yet."
"Some just come more easily then others." Meeghan stated settling herself down on the arm of the sofa at Bastian's head and leaned down to give the girl a more appropriate greeting in the way of a kiss the relayed just how much she, herself, had missed the blond.
"Mm," Bastian purred once they broke apart. She smiled faintly as she looked up at Meeghan. "Very true. ...You're not going to join me down here?" She asked cheekily, arching an eyebrow at the singer.
"Is that the sole reason for your coming here?" Meeghan replied with a smile to the girl.
"No," Bastian assured her. "I'm just in a cuddly mood." Which, again, meant a lot given how... Cold and almost robotic she could come across as.
"Now how could I possibly refuse such an inviting request." Meeghan smiled motioning for Bastian to sit up a bit so she could slide down from the arm onto the couch proper.
Bastian sat up as she was silently instructed with a very serene expression on her face. This was where she felt most comfortable. Away from her family and their (she hated to think it, but…) constant drama. "How've you been?" She murmured.
Meeghan settled herself on the couch beside Bastian running her fingers idly through the other girl's soft, blond mane. "Other then missing you, I've been good." She told the blond beauty.
The blonde witch curled onto her side, tangling her long legs with Meeghan's and let out a contented sigh. "Good," she replied, keeping her voice low. Almost reverent. "I've decided I'm going to move," she told Meeghan bluntly. "I think I'm ready to now."
The singer looked at the blonde then with an arched brow. "You're moving?" She questioned lightly of the lovely next to her.
"Yeah... maybe into a share house, or something. I know Neely would front me the first couple of months rent until I had some money saved... since I'm looking for work too," she added, before taking one of Meeghan's hands and tracing along the life lines absently. She enjoyed palm reading, but at the same time she didn't like the idea that fate was predetermined. "I have plans," she smiled faintly.
"I hope your plans for the future include a certain dark haired singer I know." Meeghan smiled warmly as her gaze lowered to watch Bastian's fingers trace lightly over the palm of her hand. It was times like this that Meeghan was treasuring most. The two of them just sitting there needing only to enjoy the other's company without much more being expected. It was a complete and total new experience for her, and Meeghan was finding she liked the way it felt. The way Bastian made her feel. Happy and content.
"They might," Bastian replied with a coy little smile. She took in a breath and let it out slowly, just breathing in Meeghan’s scent. "I’m not exactly like my family. I can do fine on my own." She thought of Josie then and pouted thoughtfully, wondering what had happened to her friend before remembering... "Did you ever... meet Josie?" So, she went off-track a little with where she was going there, but she was concerned for her friend.
"You know Josie?" Again her brow raised to a slight arch as Meeghan hadn't put it together that her girlfriend would know her daughter from a parallel universe. Thing were certainly getting curiouser and curiouser.
"Yeah. We are... we were? Pretty close." Bastian looked down then, ashamed that she hadn't thought of Josie before now. "I'm sorry, I lost track. There's been a lot of drama lately and... I don't handle that well."
"You know she moved out to Vegas?" After what Bastian had just said, Meeghan wasn't sure if the younger girl knew that or not. "And yes, I've met Josie." Wasn't exactly the perfect first meeting of mother and future!daughter, but at least now they seemed to be getting on okay, even with the distance that now spread out between them.
"Oh," Bastian blinked. "My sister's moving there with her girlfriend soon, I think. We'll have to visit sometime." Oh wow, she was starting to think in "we" now, instead of "I". "Anyway, I was... going somewhere before I went off in a tangent..." She blushed.
"You know you're incredibly adorable when you do that." Meeghan smiled leaning in to kiss the girl softly on the mouth. Yes, Bastian was definitely her very own life-size Tinkerbell.
"Flustering me more isn't going to help the situation," Bastian purred against Meeghan's lips as looped a hand around Meeghan's waist and lifted her shirt slightly, pressing her hand to the small of the singer's back. There wasn't anything remotely sexual about that action. She just wanted Meeghan as physically close as she could get her.
"If this is your version of being flustered, I'm kind of liking it." Meeghan murmured back against the soft warmth of the blonde's mouth as she breathed the girl in. The singer liked the way the girl's hand felt against the bareness of her skin as she pressed herself willingly into the blond beauty's side.
Bastian pouted and whined cutely, "I'm trying to be serious and then you go and get all irresistible on me. That's not fair." Aw, it looked like Bastian had fits of being unreasonable just like any other woman. She nuzzled into Meeghan lightly. "Now I've completely lost my train of thought." What she'd meant to do, somewhere in there, was relay Rachelle's message to Meeghan, but... again, flustered.
"Must not have been important. Whatever it might have been you wanted to say." With a gentle laying of her hand on the girl's thigh, Meeghan leaned in further. Brushing strands of blonde out of the way with her free hand, the singer commenced with nuzzling the blonde's neck. "Let me be the sole thing that occupies your thoughts at the moment." She whispered against the swanlike curve of the blonde's neck.
"Think I can manage that," Bastian purred with a smirk before lightly taking hold of Meeghan's chin, tilting her face up slightly so she could meet the singer's lips, giving her a kiss that was both sweet... but also very needing, with a slow burning passion behind it. "Do you... have any plans for the rest of the afternoon?"
"I do now." She smiled tenderly back to the blonde. "And they don't involve leaving the apartment for the next couple of hours." Meeghan said before catching Bastian's lips once more with her own as a hand slipped within the other girl's hair to catch the nape of her neck and draw her closer.
Bastian moaned into the kiss and let her hand at the Meeghan's back slide down to cup her arse, squeezing it gently as she slowly rocked against the singer. "Good," she purred after a moment. "I like that plan."
