I'll Show You Mine...
Who: Paige and Patience
Where: The McConnell house
When: Saturday, July 10th
This shit SUCKED. Seriously. Paige knew why she HAD to help the McConnells, but now she basically had a wildwoman on her hands who was suddenly half-demon, and that was essentially her responsibility. Like she didn't have ENOUGH on her mind right now. Ah well. After putting on her favorite pair of black leather pants and a Motley Crue tee, the raven-haired woman made her way to the McConnells' house, knocking a few times.
Luckily, baby Cash's room wasn't near the front of the house (and my, wasn't that a smart idea?) so Patience didn't fret that the knocking would wake him. Dressed in short-shorts and a baby-doll Metallica t-shirt (without a bra, thank you very much), so opened the front door and gave Paige a snarky little grin. "You lookin' for your 'thank you'?"
Paige just looked at her in that outfit before blurting out "Right now I'm just lookin’ for you to jiggle a little. Damn." Oh god.
"Yeeeah, they got a little bigger." Heh. 'A little'. "Maybe if you ask reeeeal nice," she added in a purr before stepping to the side to allow Paige inside.
"So..." She said as she walked in, hooking her thumbs in the pockets of those pants, smirking. "How goes it? Baby doing alright? Hopefully you havent decided to make yourself a widow..."
"Good, good. And no..." She sighed overdramatically as she led the demon inside. "Pat's talents should be put to use. ...And I'm not just talking about on-stage," she added with a waggle of her eyebrows.
"Hah! I've heard the legends... sounds like you're a lucky girl." Paige smirked and just... made herself at home on the sofa. "So... not to go all Mr. Miyagi on you, but now that you got some of me in you, you're kinda my responsibility. Gotta make sure you don't go using your powers for stupid shit."
"'Stupid shit'?" Patience repeated with an arched eyebrow, before sitting on the armrest of the couch facing page. "Like what?" She added with a cheeky little smirk.
"Like deciding to tear the fuck outta people you don't like..." Ok, so maybe Gwen had mentioned how badly Patience hated Skylar. What?
Patience actually laughed at that, "I'm not going out of my way to tear anyone up... they come to me and start shit? It's a different story." Well, she was being honest...
"Fair enough. I'm just sayin',... just because you CAN go toe-to-toe with a Slayer now doesn't mean you should. Even if you DO secretly wanna shank the bitch." Ah yes. Paige. The great zen master.
"'Secretly'," Patience snorted. She let it go, however, and rested her cheek against the side of the couch. Who knows. Maybe becoming someone's mother will calm her down some, hm? "So, seriously. Don't worry yourself there, chica."
"Getting used to 'changing' on command yet? I know it can be a pain at first. But at least you don't go whole-hog with it like I do." She snickered, shrugging. "THAT'S a bitch. You just get the little fangs going."
"You know, it's kinda funny. I could not put the baby to sleep last night. Tried every-fucking-thing known to man. Screaming his lungs out. Fangs? Tooootally worked." She blinked. "Hah! I should get Ash to babysit him one night. He wouldn't know what to do." She shrieked with laughter, figuring that would be her little payback to her dear brother.
"You're an evil bitch, girl." Paige grinned wickedly then. "I think we're gonna get along JUST fine. I mean, I'm supposed to protect people. I get this.. this psychic bond to people I'm supposed to protect. Oh yeah, have fun with THAT if you end up 'inheriting' that... but anyway... as much as I need to protect people, I still love fucking with a few of them. So I get ya there."
Patience snickered and rolled her eyes, "Something tells me that I wouldn't want to get on your bad side."
"Thankfully... you never got to SEE my 'bad side'. Ask around... it ain't pretty. So..." She had to say it. HAD to. "You got ANY idea how hard it was to pull you off me when you were drinking my blood, girl? God DAMN."
"Yeeeeeah, I could've done that for a while too," Patience admitted with a shrug. What? Like she was going to be embarrassed about that.
"Trust me..." She actually looked a little grumpy there, "if I wasn't TRYING to be all 'faithful girlfriend' now, I'd have taken you around the friggin' WORLD, girl. Blood, ooze, and all."
"Niiice." Although note? Patience pouted a little as well. Just a little. "So who're you being all faithful for, hm? Better be worth it."
Yeah, did Paige get a BIT of a stupid little grin there? Maaaaybe. Whut? "Lilly Maymin. She's been my best friend since we were kids. Just stupidly hot, too. I care a LOT about her, and well... she deserves better than for me to be the skank I was before her."
Patience nodded, finding that far too sweet to make fun of. "Well, good for you. Everyone deserves somebody... I guess. Sometimes two people," she smirked.
"Not everyone's as lucky as, apparently, you used to be, babe." Paige barked with a loud laugh, kinda liking this girl. "So come on... let's see the teeth, girl. You can do it. Concentrate."
The redhead narrowed her eyes, "You just think it's hot. Admit it." She smirked and tongued one of her canines, before doing as she was told(!), concentrating. Her canines elongated. "Kinda makes me wanna bite things," she admitted.
"Hrm. It *is* hot, granted." Paige grumbled with a bit of envy. "You just got the teeth. You're like a vamp without the bumpy-ass face. Me? You don't even wanna SEE what I look like when I go toothy."
"Awww, come on. I've shown you mine," Patience replied with a cute little pout. "Fair's fair, bitch."
"Fine, fine..." Paige growled a little, her eyes changing to a deep gray color, as he jaw distended a little, and her teeth changed to a row of almost sharklike ones. "Happy?"
"That is fucking killer!" What a strange, strange woman Patience was... "Seriously. You could bite someone's head off!"
"Can and HAVE, babe. This vamp tried to attack my pal Lexi once..." Yes, it still felt weird calling Lexi her "pal"... "Ripped the fucker's head clean off with these babies."
"God, that should not be so hot," Patience replied with a laugh. She sat down on one of the couch cushions and crossed her legs. As always, very flexible. "Does it bother you at all? That you're different?"
"Nah. Considering what a shitty person I was as a human... I'm better off NOW. I just hate that my "true" form now has to be so damn monstrous." Maybe it was the fact that Patience was partially like her now. Maybe it was the connection of blood they now shared. But this was allll stuff that Paige hadn't really confided in anyone about. "Sometimes... I think the fact that I can protect people now is all that makes me worthy of still being alive."
Patience moved her mouth to the side thoughtfully, "I dunno about that. I've met some shitty people, but sometimes the world needs 'em. ... I guess you found a higher purpose?" She shrugged. "Or maybe I'm just talking out of my ass."
"Well, it's a hell of an ass to be talking out of. Seriously." And then, because let's all be honest here: Paige didn't give a fuck what anyone thought... "You know, I can't say I ever saw someone's snatch three minutes after meeting them before..."
"Yeah, I'd call that a record," Patience snickered and repositioned again, trying to get comfortable. It seemed having a child didn't calm her down in the slightest. She still couldn't sit still for long. "I'd say 'fair's fair' again... but..." She smirked, "I think I'd be pushin' my luck there."
"Jesus, woman." Paige smirked, before breaking out into uncontrollable laughter. "GOD, if I was single I'd be taking you up on that. Shit." Think of Lilly. Think of Lilly. Goooood Paige.
"Well, I'll tell you one thing: You've got good restraint." Since hey, Patience knew she was hot, thank you very much. Of course, she flirted with most everyone... but if Paige was single? She'd tap that in a second. Luckily, Patience respected that Paige was trying to be monogamous, so ...flirting was all it was ever going to be.
"Girl, you don't even KNOW." Because between Patience's natural beauty and the part of her that was sort of connected to her through mutual demon-ness and the shared blood? Yeah. Nuff said. "Just remember not to wear that poor hubby of yours out too much now... you're gonna have a LOT more energy and strength than he will."
Patience snickered. "I told him he's not getting any for a while. He was... POUTING, let me tell you." She doubted she could hold out on him for long, but it still amused her to no end. "Maybe I had some demon in me to begin with, huh?"
"Maybe mentally... but trust me. You got no IDEA how awesome this can be if you let it. But luckily... you got ME to show you." She'd already been a mentor of sorts to Darlene... now that her best friend was on the road to recovery... why not mentor someone else? Even if it WAS in an entirely different way?
"Lucky me," Patience replied with a cheeky little grin. "I'm in no hurry, though. I think I need to get into some sort of rhythm here before we get to that..." Luckily she’d taken maternity leave, hm? "Oh, and before I forget? Thank you." D'aw. She had a heart after all.
