Getting ready to move... and bringing a friend?
Who: Abbi and Lynn Where: Chloe's Sugar Shack When: Friday night
"Heh. Green Day. Figures..." Abbi McConnell mumbled to herself, noticing what was playing in the background at Chloe's Sugar Shack. Really... for a girl as hyperactive as Chloe, could a more perfect band be playing? The perky blonde was sitting at the counter, enjoying an iced coffee and a cinnamon stick, just looking at her surroundings. She had a lot on her mind right now, and honestly wasn't sure who to go to with any of it.
"Yeah, figures" Lynn smiled towards Abbie, and sipped at her Mocha. She wasn't a huge Green Day fan, and secretly loved the jazz music her mother always played. Would she tell Abbi that? Never. "It's a little cheery for your mood."
"I know. Kinda why I had us come HERE. This place is always so happy and peppy... kinda hard to be mopey here. And you KNOW me, Lynn... I *hate* being in a bad mood." The blonde practically whined, that bottom lip quivvering cutely.
Lynn scooted closer to her best friend, and threw an arm around her. "It'll be alright, Abbi. We'll go shopping and... whatever you want? And we'll forget about the fact that my Mom screwed us over." She hated that her Mother had been one of the ones to cause her whole life to be pretty much erased
"Honey, don't be mad at your mom." She leaned into her best friend, sighing a little. Jesus... Abbi, for her brains, was CLUELESS that Lynn crushed on her, or else she wouldn't be inadvertantly doing this. "She's not at fault for any of this. From what I've gleaned, this is all the accidental doing of a girl who doesn't even exist anymore."
"But she could have warned us, or... She's a freaking time master, you'd think she'd do more than go to school and be completely embarrassing with my Dad." Lynn tried to keep her cool, and just be comforting to her friend, who had absolutely perfect hair. "I have to blame someone."
"Just try to look at the bright side..." Abbi sighed, finding that she really DID always have some cheery way of seeing things. "Yeah, we lost a lot of family and friends... but at least we have each other. Me, you, Kim, Bastian and Blake, all of us. Heck, even Killer... at least we have each other." She sighed, before finally deciding to just... blurt out what had been bothering her. "Lynn? Are you too totally attached to LA? Because me and Killer's aunt lives near Vegas, and is willing to take us in. So we don't have to keep living in that stupid hotel Brayden's been paying for." She grinned there, hoping the other girl would like this idea. "And I was thinking if she was ok with it, maybe you'd wanna stay with us?"
That was one of the things Lynn loved about Abbi, she always managed to make things seem better. "I didn't look at some of those los- um. I didn't look at some of them twice while we were in school." she almost called them losers, but she couldn't now since they were all she had left from her old life. "Vegas? Away from my parents? Yes, please. If you're going." Things were weird because Lynn's parents always seemed to be flirting with each other, or doing things she didn't want to think about. Also, her mother wasn't sure how to act around her. "Yes, I'll stay."
"Oh geez... THANK you, Lynn." Abbi squeaked cutely and hugged her friend, grinning ear to ear. "I loev my Aunt Addison, but seriously... living with Killer? That just makes me stressed THINKING about it."
"We'll avoid her." Lynn said. She never got along with Killer, but her mom seemed to love her. It baffled the young woman. "So, um. How are the living arrangements set up?" That was her way of askign if she got to share a room with Abbi.
"No clue yet... I'm gonna guess Aunt Addison has enough room for all of us. If not, as long as she's willing to bring you in, you could always room with me for a while or something." Jesus... Abbi... are you stupid? OPEN YOUR EYES! "At least Brayden won't be moving. It still kind of kills me to see him with Meredith. I like her... but I can't help but wonder what she has that I don't."
"I wouldn't mind... if we had to, you know." Lynn really, really wanted to share a room with her. "Her hair is different than yours? She's nowhere near as cute as you are."
"Aw, thanks, Lynn. She is really pretty... I guess part of me thinks Bray never wanted me because his mom always hated my mom so bad... is that dumb?" No, Ab... dumb is still crushing on a pig who would only use you anyway.
"You're way prettier, and honestly deserve someone a ton better." Yep, Lynn said it, but it wasn't exactly a secret that she thought Brayden was no good for her friend. "It's not dumb, at all."
"You're the best friend I could ask for, Lynn." Abbi said with a big, sweet smile as she leaned over to hug the girl. "See? I couldnt even THINK about moving without you."
"Your my best friend, I could never leave you." was all Lynn said. She was more than happy to hug Abbi.
"I'll talk to my mother. I'm sure she can talk Aunt Addison into it somehow. I'll just explain that living with Courtney without you there is just too stressful for me." Oh, how those eyebrows went up as she grinned. Clearly, while she was far more innocent in some ways than her mother ever was... Abbi most definitely had that same devious streak in her SOMEWHERE.
"I'm excited! We're going to be on our own!" Lynn squealed happily
