Trying to Figure Things Out
Who: Ash, Meredith, and Lucy
Where: Casa de Ash
When: Sunday evening, 3/28
Since his talk with Buffy, Ash had been feeling a little better about himself. He was finally feeling both loved AND needed. Needed in a way unrelated to Lucy and Meredith, anyway. So for tonight? Since Lucy and Meredith had gone out together, he thought they giggled something about shopping or something, he'd decided to sit down and do something he hadn't done in AGES: watch his favorite movie, the Leo Dicaprio/Claire Danes version of 'Romeo & Juliet'. Hey. Don't judge, ok? It was almost over, and he was sprawled out on the living room sofa, can of Pepsi in hand.
Actually, she shopping had been a sort of make over for Lucy. Now the girl already wore designer label clothing. Technically, Mere couldn't make her more beautiful. However, she could sexify Lucy a little bit.
Considering the haul that they had shopped for, they had actually taken Ash's car instead of one of their motorcycles. Well Lucy was still learning to ride hers anyway. The both of them grabbed a bunch of nags and headed into the house. Mere had already dressed Lucy up in a purple see through blouse and a pair of leather pants and couldn't wait to show her off.
He heard them coming in and sat up a little more, taking a sip of his drink and blinking a little as he saw what Lucy was wearing. "Holy..." he sputtered, only imagining what else they might have bought. Truly... these two could ONLY get into trouble together. "What the hell did *I* miss?"
Lucy had been a little nervous when Mere had initially picked out the clothes for her. This wasn't the type of stuff she picked out for herself. However a grin spread across her face when she saw Ash's reaction.
"Oh, you didn't miss much," Mere said with a knowing smirk. "Well you did miss some fun action in the dressing room, but I think you'll survive." Oh she was always going to do this if it made Lucy blush like this. "What do you think?"
"I... think you took the most beautiful girl I've ever seen... and also turned her into someone tied for SEXIEST girl I've ever seen." Aw. Ash was grinning ear to ear now. And not just in a devious kinda way. "Missed you girls. Kind of forgot how... quiet and lonely it is here when I'm alone."
"That's because life is boring when we're not around," Mere said with a smirk.
Lucy smiled. "You really like it?"
Ash just smirked at Meredith, as honestly? She was telling the truth. His life was certainly more exciting with them in it. Then he looked to Lucy and that goofily adoring grin returned. "I love it, my dear."
Mere just grinned. "Well wait till you see what she's wearing under it," she said.
Lucy blushed. "Stop that! You'll ruin the surprise!" Mere wasn't exactly good with keeping surprises.
What... were the muns trying to make the postable part of this as short as humanly possible or something? Ash felt one eyebrow rise, and, comically, immediately thought, 'wait till I tell Neely about THIS...'. "You know... you two are really and truly going to be the death of me."
"Yeah, I'm not good with keeping surprises," Mere admitted. "Not like I told him the color or anything." Yeah the closest to Mere being apologetic right there.
Lucy just laughed. "Guess you have me there," she said. "Plenty of other surprises are in store too."
"Not that I'm complaining, at ALL, but you're a ROTTEN influence on her, Mere." Ash laughed, hopping up to his feet, and walking to them. He kissed Mere and gave her a playful smack on the behind, then walked to Lucy, kissing her more innocently, resting his forehead against hers for a moment. "You're really the two most important women in my life."
"Then you shouldn't worry about it so much," Mere purred to him. She looped her arms around his waist after he kissed Lucy.
Lucy just kissed him back. She was just happy to be with her two favorite people right now.
"God. I am SO gonna get my ass kicked once this gets out." Hey, it was true. Between Patience, Chloe, Kevin, Devon, Jack... all the people who loved or cared for one or both of the two girls, at least ONE was bound to want to beat the shit out of him over this. "Still... definitely worth it."
"Hey you and me both buddy," Mere said. Yeah, Kevin and Chloe would be far less than happy with her either. Chloe might actually get pissed enough to try and kill her.
"So am I the only one who is not going to get killed for this?" Lucy asked with a giggle.
"Oddly enough?" Ash laughed, looking at Mere. "Lucy came back from the dead... and might come out of this the only one NOT dead."
Mere just cracked up at that. Yeah that was probably going to be how it ends up. She looked at Lucy over Ash's shoulder. "Totally worth it, though."
Lucy smiled at the both of them. "You guys really know how to make a girl feel loved."
Ash almost brought up the mini-golf thing, but then thought better of it. He didn't want either girl to feel like a third wheel, and there was no way to talk about his discussion with Neely without making Mere feel that way. "So... Looks like you two had quite the busy day."
Mere laughed. "Well that's one way of looking at it," she said to him. "We just wanted to have a little surprise for you."
Lucy smiled. "I actually came up with it. I wanted to do something that only the two of you would get to see."
"So..." Yeah, they'd been making small-talk... but clearly the entire situation was still the elephant in the room: the thing they all knew was there but nobody was talking about. "Not to ruin the mood here... But I think we all need to figure out what's going on here, and soon. Before one or all of us end up hurt."
Mere thought on that for a second. "I love you both, I really do," she said to them. "You know me and labels, though. I also know that you guys have the epic love of the ages going on. I don't want to mess with that, you know?"
Lucy thought about what she said. Yes, they were having tons of fun, and they all cared for each other. Mere didn't seem to be looking to make this a permanent thing, which Lucy was a little relieved about. As much as she enjoyed it, both the sex and Mere's general company, she did NOT relish in explaining a threesome to Chloe and Kevin. "I think maybe just...I don't know, letting things just happen how they happen might be a good idea, Ash. Not to push things one way or another."
"I swear to you, I'm NOT just automatically siding with Lucy, but... I think she's right." Ash winced a little, hating that it looked like he was just agreeing. "I think... whatever the hell this is we have going here is too delicate and too... hell... too SPECIAL to just decide on right now."
Mere nodded. "I think you're right, actually. Both of you. And I'm not just saying it to not make waves. You know that much about me," she pointed out.
Lucy nodded as well. "It's not a bad thing, though. Just, you know, no declarations or anything at the moment." It was probably for the best, anyway.
"I think... that would probably be best for all of us. For now? Just enjoy what we have... and take it one day at a time." Because Ash was SO often the voice of reason, right?
