Bachelor Party Planning!!
Who: Mere and Neely
Where: Saints and Sinners
When: Saturday Night, 3/20
So, another night at work. Sadly for any dancer wanting to attract a supposedly single Mere tonight, she barely registered the naked bussoms and asses that walked by her in the back dressing rooms as she tried to corral the dancers into doing their jobs. She did inwardly laugh at all of the compliments on her 'new tan' though. When things had slowed down and she finally had a break, she took a seat at one of the back tables to relax for a few minutes and have a drink.
It wasn't long before Meredith was joined by a beautiful blonde. Although Neely had no intention of taking her to bed (unless 'Chelle said she could and wanted to join in, then all bets were off). She'd honestly tried to avoid S&S as much as possible since having her way with Deanna a while back (maybe it was time to make amends for that?), but nevertheless, here she was. She gave Mere a lopsided grin, and then blinked, inhaling the other woman's scent. She could have said 'yay, congratulations!' or 'how?' What she did say? "Damn, you smell good."
Off all the things that Mere was expecting to hear from anyone, it wasn't that. All she could do was laugh for a moment. "Wow, didn't realize that I smelled bad before," she said with a grin. "So, how've you been doing? Everything going OK in Neely-world?" She hoped things were going good for her, still.
"Very OK in Neely World," the blonde replied with a grin. She was still worried about wedding stuff, but that wasn't about to change - not until she got married. ...One assumed. "What about Mere World? And no, you didn't smell bad before. Less... Appetizing, maybe?... Don't give me that look. It was meant as a compliment."
Mere just laughed again when Neely said that she smelled less appetizing before. "You know what? A lot of the girls here have complimented me on finally getting a tan. You never realize how pale you are until everyone starts liking the little bit of color already showing up, I guess." It was funny to her, anyway. "Things are good." They were a little confusing, but they were still good. "Still getting acclimated to being human again. Kind of miss the strength, though."
"The strength is useful," Neely murmured. "Although, outdoor activities in broad daylight, you can't say you didn't miss that. Or... Sex with people without the desire to drain their blood. I'm the first to admit biting is hot, but massive amounts of blood loss? An emphatic 'no, thank you!'"
"Biting still is pretty damn hot," Mere admitted. "Still, I gotta agree with the whole 'going out in daylight is awesome' thing," she said to Neely. "I kind of just kept staring at the sun when it first happened, which, by the way, is bad."
"Yeah, your poor eyes. Also? You could diiiie." Neely waggled her fingers. "Don't forget you're mortal, either. Wouldn't want 'Chelle to lose a band mate."
"Now see? That's the stuff I don't want to think about," Mere said. "Not that I plan to die anytime soon."
"No, not that any of your friends would let you go that easily, anyway," Neely replied, raising a slender eyebrow. "Annnnyway, changing the topic. Two questions. One: Is Deanna here? Two: Feel up to doing some party planning?"
"Deanna's actually got the night off tonight," Mere said. "I'm good for some party planning, though. You want to hire Deanna to work at it?"
"Actually, no. The question about her was unrelated. Although I can see Deanna and...her," she pointed to a blonde on stage (Eve) "doing a double-act." She grinned wickedly. "Have you cooked up any ideas?"
"I'm actually not sure if Deanna will do double acts now that she has a girlfriend, but it wouldn't hurt to ask," Mere said absently. "Gotta admit, been a little distracted lately, but now I'm back on my game." Maybe even better. It's a lot easier to enjoy life when you're actually, you know, alive.
"Well, understandable with distraction, although you off your game?" She tested Mere's forehead with the back of her hand, like a mother to an ill child. "That's harder to believe."
"Well, 'off my game' might be saying a little too much," Mere said with a smirk. "So, what else other than copious amounts of strippers should we get for Ben, anyway?"
"Ooh, what about drag queens? They're always fun. Drag queen bingo," she laughed, amusing herself here.
"We need to find both an over the top drag queen for fun and a really good one to mess with Ben," Mere said with a smirk. Of course, Ben would sniff it out quick, but it would be hilarious, just the same.
"You... are pure evil." Neely laughed and shook her head. Whose idea was it to get these two together to plan a bachelor party? Tsk.
Mere just laughed. Not like she was above tormenting Ben at his own bachelor party. "You say that like it's a bad thing."
Neely pretended to think about that for a moment, but a grin soon spread on her face. "Good point. It really isn't."
"Told you," Mere said. "Anyways, at least a drag queen MC isn't that outlandish of an idea, though."
"Well, I was bound to have a good idea eventually," Neely replied, smirking lopsidedly. "I'm totally expecting you to trump me. Like, with a sword swallower, or the world's strongest man, or something."
"Nah. I think a drag queen is awesome. Not sure if we should get one that you can't tell or one where it's painfully obvious though." Both could be hilarious though.
"Yeah, I like the idea of both. It'd be highly entertaining. We should let Skylar in on it, as well. I don't doubt for a second she'd laugh her ass off," the blonde laughed.
"Well we might have to film it and show it to her later, but who knows? Ben might WANT her there for all we know."
"He could. I hadn't considered that," Neely replied. For all their talk about having a bachelor party for Ben, Neely was... believe it or not, becoming less interested in a bachelorette party for herself. It... no longer held the appeal that it once might have. She doubted Ben would let her get away with not having one, though.
Mere wouldn't let her get away with it either. It may not have to be a full on raunch-fest but it was still supposed to be a night of fun. "We should ask him then. Maybe we can just do a combo party for the both of them."
"Yeah, that sounds like the best way to go about it. They seem to have the same friends, anyway." She nudged Mere and smirked.
"Well yeah pretty much." Neither seemed to hang around someone that the other hated. Good for them.
