Oh helloo..
Who: Nathan, Delilah When: During shop hours Where: Ashes to Ashes
If Nathan was getting back into the Watcher biz, he needed to fortify himself and his apartment. Which meant, spellwork. He was adept in the occult, leaving the more intense spells for those who needed them. He was fine with a simple protection spell and keeping everything he needed close at hand. Hidden in plain sight in his apartment were several stakes, holy water ampules, silver swords and a silver knife blessed by an old buddy, a Tibetan monk, from college. Also, his cane, which he rarely used in its intended capacity. It was collapsible, came apart in three sections. One side included a stake, the other a silver knife, and the middle included two hypodermic needles filled with holy water, one on either side. He knew what he needed to do his job, but could he remember it?
After making a call to his driver and getting his ass out of bed before noon, he showered, dressed and fumbled around his kitchen for a microwavable breakfast. He had no inclinations to burn himself this morning, thank you.
He'd made arrangements to go to several places for supplies: a church, for holy water, another friend in town for more stakes, and one..well he had no effing clue.
"Hey Mac, got a question." "Yeah?", his driver replied, knowing they didn't need the formalities. "I need supplies of an otherwordly nature. Where would I go?" He nodded. "I got just the place. Be there in a jiff."
When they pulled up, Nathan could tell this was the place. He could feel the energies around it, and it rang clear as "not normal", which is exactly what he was wanting.
"You want I should go in for you or..." Mac asked, atttempting to be discreet. "Protection spell stuff. Simple yet dangerously effective." "You really like that curse, dontcha?"
A little background: Haldrim's Curse was a protection spell of an extraordinary quality invented by Nathan and a few other of his friends in college. One of which happened to be a pretty strong Warlock. This "curse" did almost anything he asked upon voice command, outside his home or the designated area by a good 10 feet. The reach of it could be extended, but it took a lot more work. It also affected humans to an extent. Anyone with Nathan in unpleasant sights got a nasty case of boils, or something else unpleasant. Using his blood as the final ingredient to tie the spell directly to him.
Nathan's driver knew the spell, and its ingredients, by heart. Helping Nathan, and Angelina (his cat) out of the car and into the store, where Nathan could sit down and take things easy for a first time in a new place, he looked around for the appropriate items. Angelina laid down at Nathan's feet, closing her eyes and laying her head on her paws, not taking up much room despite her size. Finding the ingredients took a while, but Nathan just sat, feeling the energies of the place and its patrons. He felt one slightly off close to his left...
