Who: Eve and Scarlett
When: Friday Night, 2/12
Where: Saints and Sinners
Eve was having a good night. Business was booming, after a bit of a slowing down due to the whole 'water to blood' scare last month, but it now seemed to be back to normal enough. Well, almost, anyway. Eve remembered feeling enough black magic in the air on Wednesday to make her hair stand on end, but now things were OK, it seemed, so she wasn't too worried about it. The night was starting to wind down a bit, as it is wont to do around three in the morning, so now she just had to finish out her shift, maybe find a warm body to take home as well.
Scarlett was in the back dressing room, deciding which outift of the two new ones she had bought especially for work, to wear tonight for her first dance. They were both black, of course, the difference was one was shiny like PVC and had tiny shorts, and the other was an adorable black mini skirt with a matching halter. Deciding on the skirt, she quickly changed into her outfit and ran a brush through her hair, nt wanting to make it to the stage late for her first dance.
Eve had been making her rounds on the floor when the lights on the stage lit up again and music started to play. She had been curious about the new girl, and was pleasantly surprised to see her come out onto the stage.Well, this should be very interesting.
When Scarlett heard the song she had picked for this dance, If I was Your Vampire by Mariyln Manson, ironic as hell was the fact of her using it, but it was a song she was familiar with, she walked out onto the stage. She warpped her leg arouns the pole, causing her skirt to slide all the way up her thigh, spun around it once and then walked closer to the edge of the stage as she kept dancing.
Eve hung out on the floor, watching as the girl spun around on the pole. Oh, so the new girl was a vampire then. Well, it wasn't like that this wasn't something that she couldn't work with, anyway. Vampires didn't usually give off quite the right energy, or at least it wasn't as nourishing, but it would more than do, especially with some of the vibes she was getting off of this particular girl.
By now Scarlett had slipped her shirt off and was dancing close enough to where she could be tipped. As long as the customers kept their hands confined to only touching her enough to slide bills into her clothing, she'd be fine. Otherwise, shit might get ugly after work hours. She'd never put the club's reputation on the line, but if she say, caught up with them down the road, well that was another thing altogether.
Eve watched as men started to tip Scarlett, grinning as they did so. For a first timer, she was actually doing pretty good. The crowd seemed to agree as well.
Scarlett could definately say she was getting more than she thought she would. This...was awesome. She moved back to be able to take off her skirt without having to worry about someone trying to run off with it.
Eve was actually tempted to tip the girl, but decided not to for now. Besides, the money that she had on her right now she had earned. While she didn't need much money, she still felt greedy about it.
Scarlett wouldn't really have known how to handle getting tipped from a co worker, either. She might have taken it as a good thing or she might have taken it as the other girl trying to be a smartass, sometimes she could be very defensive for no reason in that way. Scarlett stepped out of her skirt and kicked it behind her and out of the way.
Even though she had thought about doing it, Eve merely relaxed against the wall and watched the rest of the dance at a distance. Besides, plenty of time to get close later.
After her dance was over, Scarlett picked up her clothes and headed off stage back into the dressing room to redress before heading out onto the main floor of the club. Once out there, she headed for the bar to get a drink. She wasn't sure of this club's rules but most allowed two or three drinks on a shift. As long as she wasn't wasted and could do what she neeed to, she doubted anyone would care.
When the girl was back out and at the bar, Eve slid up next to her, sitting down as well. "You did very well up there," she said to Scarlett.
Scarlett turned her head, seeing who was talking to her. Oh, it was one of her fellow dancers. "Thanks." she said and took a sip from the drink she had finally been slid. "I'm afraid I didn't catch yours tonight but I'm sure you did well too." She said, trying to be polite. After all, if she was a newbie and everyone else here wasn't most had to be better than her, right?
"Mine was a little earlier," Eve said to her with a smile. "So, how do you like it here so far?"
"Well, can't complain. I got decent co workers, tips are great, and I haven't really ran into any problems. All in all, I'd say I like it here." She took another sip from her glass and noticed the other girl didn;t have one. "Would you like one?" she asked, holding up her glass.
"Sure," she said, turning to the bartender for a second and ordering a gin and tonic. "Have you gotten to meet Ben Bale yet? He's the owner of this place, even though it seems that Meredith does more of the true day to day managing." Meredith, the one whom Eve couldn't seduce for some reason or another. Oh well. Her loss.
Scar tossed some money onto the bar for the other girl's drink, she didn;t mind paying for it if a decent conversationw as coming out of it all, which it appeared to be. "No I haven't met him, actually. Does he happen to be one of those types who never enters his own joint?"
"Usually, he's here at least a couple of nights a week with his future wife, but lately they've both been a bit absent." Eve vaguely knew about the drama going on in all of their lives, but wasn't as up on it as most. "You've got to meet him, though. I think that he'd just love you."
"I'll have to keep an eye out, even if it's just so I know what he looks like to make sure I'm on my 'best behavior' when he's around." she joked, using air quotes. "Why do you think he'd love me?"
"Because you're good looking and he loves gorgeous women," Eve said with a smirk. "How do you think *I* got this job?"
"Oh, you didn't try out for Mere?" Huh...was this girl seriously saying she fucked the owner for a job? How tacky...but smart. Scarlett could respect her for that one.
"No, I was one of the first hires," Eve said. "Before he really put Mere in charge of things like that." It was easier to get what you wanted when the boss would fuck you, but Eve also happened to be a good employee here, so it worked well for her just the same.
"Then I'd say your hire was probably easier to get then mine." She said with a laugh. She would have thought about it too, if it had been before she met Jarrod. "Sounds like you got a good deal here."
"I like to think so," Eve said with a grin, leaning a little closer to Scarlett. "What did you have to do for your hire, may I ask?"
Scarlett shrugged. "Just a dance for Mere. Nothing special or anything. I guess that would be their usual method of hire or something."
"I think that's more of what they are using now, yes," Eve said, still grinning. Oh, she knew how at least MOST of the girls here actually got hired, but she kept her lips sealed on that.
By that grin Scarlett could tell that wasn't everything she was thinking. "Let me guess, you're not the only one who was hired in that way, were you?" Hmm, this was interesting. Well, at least she knew how to keep her ass from being fired now.
Eve nodded slowly. "Most of the first hires came that way. Not the tattooed girl named Sarah, but the rest, pretty much. Mere's even an ex of his, although they broke up and then planned a strip club together." A little nutty, but whatever worked for them.
"Really? She's his ex?" Who in their right mind would go into business with an ex? Someone was definately planning on screwing someone for the ones they were no longer getting there, she thought.
Eve nodded. "They get along surprisingly well, actually. Still, it's a little strange, don't you think?"
"Very. I know I sure as hell wouldn't go into business with any of my ex's. I used to still be friends with a few, but most of them I wouldn;t mind tearing the throats out from." She told her and took another drink.
Eve couldn't help but laugh at that. She figured that there were more than a few husks of men out there over the years that would like to do the same to her, but whatever. "I don't get it, either, but good for them that they can seem to work together, right? Or we'd all be out of a job."
"That is true. Unless you know, if he plans on making his future his newest ex, in which case she could always have to position." Scarlett replied, being a smartass.
Eve laughed again. "That is true, there," she said. "So, what are your plans after work?" she asked. The look on her face and the tone in her voice said that she knew what she wanted her plans to be, anyway.
Scarlett smirked. "Honestly? I was planning on going to find Jarrod and then grabbing us a bite." And other things as well, but not that should be brought up in casual conversation.
"Ah, so you have a boyfriend?" Eve asked. Not that that had stopped her before, after all.
"You could say that." Scarlett told her and then finished her drink off. She at least hoped that since she had turned him and all, that Jarrod wasn't planning on going anywhere.
"Could I?" Eve asked. If the boy was her boyfriend, then she'd just say so. Avoid-y type answers were good for her, though.
"You could. I'm not really sure how official it is..." Scarlett stopped herself. Why in the hell was she telling some stranger this? "So, how about you?" she asked, changing the topic off of her and Jarrod's....whatever they had.
"I'm not much for being tied down," Eve said. "Well, I don't literally mind being tied down to a bed on occasion, but I'm just not the monogamous type."
"I can be, if the person is right." And Jarrod kept her plenty satisfied. "Although on the literal tying down, I can't say I'd mind it either."
Eve smirked. "I'm pretty handy with a set of rope if you're interested."
Scarlett laughed and shook her head. "No, that's ok. I'm not into girls. At all."
"You sure about that?" Eve asked. "I've turned more than one girl who's said just what you did."
"Very sure." Scarlett replied. "Me and dick get along just fine, no reasn to change that, no matter how good it may or may not be with you."
Eve smiled, but it was a smile of defeat just the same. No use wasting her time on someone who doesn't want her. There was still plenty who did, after all. "If you say so. You change your mind, you let me know."
"I'll keep you in mind." Scarlett told her, although as long as Jarrod was around, there would be no way she'd go to anyone else. "Though, if I were into girls, I would have definately taken you up on the offer."
"Oh I know," Eve said, finishing her drink. "I've got to go and dance again soon. Thanks for the drink."
Scarlett gave her a nod and then went back to her drink. Well, that was definately the first time she had been hit on by a female, and she found the whole thing slightly funny. She had never thought of herself as the type that chicks went for, apparently she had been wrong.
