Kick, push, kick, push, coast ...
WHO: Lexi, OT Steff and all

WHERE: A paved and vacant lot up the street from Avarice

It had been unusually warm today, and there was still some heat coming off the brick walls and pavement around her. Lexi was in shredded jeans and an old flannel shirt, thrown over a Metallica tee. She kicked off and made a quick circuit of the lot. There wasn't much here to trick on, but Lexi was more in the mood to relax and hang than to break her head open, which was bound to happen if she tried anything too fancy. A few younger skaters were hanging out in a corner of the lot, a compact boombox blasting some kinderpunk group Lexi had never noticed.

She grinned and gave the board's tail a kick, catching it with her left hand as she got a look around. It almost felt like summer ...

	Inside was something that was indeed cheesy... but honestly, it was so heartfelt that it was sweet. It was a silver necklace, with a half of a heart on it, a diamond in the middle, with half of the words 'best friends' written in it. The other half of the heart? 	"That is adorable!" Lexi said, and carefully lifted the pendant out of the box. "Here, you'll have to put it on me." She handed it to Steff and turned her back to her, brushing her hair and collar away from the back of her neck. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Stephanie felt a little... skip of her heartbeat there, as she watched Lexi turn around, exposing the back of her neck. Had to be the part of her that was a vampire, just fighting off some base instinct, right? RIGHT?!?

Gulp.

Anyway, the girl fastened the necklace around Lexi's neck, grinning broadly as she had to suppress a big giggle.

"Merry Christmas, Lex. You're the absolute BEST friend anyone could EVER want."

One thought shot through Stephanie's brain like a bullet: thank GOD there was no mistletoe around to get her in trouble right now. Just sayin'.

Seriously.

Giving a slightly nervous little grin (as she was feeling... a tiny bit confused inside right now), she hopped up and down a tiny bit, and grabbed the bag again.

"Ok. So. I, uh... I should get to Lilly's place. Cuz, you know. Presents. Woo! Presents. Yeah."

	It was the holidays. Had to be. The whole 'love thy neighbor', blah blah blah thing. Stephanie would accept NO other thought right now. None. No matter what feelings she had shooting through her right now. "I'll stop by in the next day or so. If you and Ginny aren't too busy on christmas day, let me know and I'll stop by and see you guys.
