Kat nodded slowly, as if comprehension had dawned on her with his explanation and...then...somehow...that nod turned into an amused shake of her head. "You'd have to be, like, really, really...excellent...if you wanted me to swoon. Not exactly that type of girl."
Was he flirting with her? That seemed like an obvious "yeah" - although she wasn't sure why. Jarrod had never even given her the time of day before. Was she flirting back? That kind of seemed like the more important question. And Kat couldn't really say no.
She opened her mouth to say something and then thought better of it. Turning, she leaned down to pick up her backpack and slipped it over her shoulder.
"I could lend you a few books if you want to learn more about strategy," she offered with a playful grin. "But for the record, if you want to ask me out? Next time...just do it."
