Surprise Visit
Who: Lilly and an old friend
Where: Lilly's Apartment
When: Thursday Night, Nov. 12
Lilly was sitting at her little studio apartment, alone for the night. Stephanie was supposed to be doing some lessons with Lexi tonight, which left Lilly on her own. She was laying on her bed and flipping through an RPG book that she had picked up from Shooting Star Comics. Not that she really had anyone to play these games with, well, as far as she knew of, but it was still fun for her to read through them everyone once in a while. Tonight was basically shaping up to be a quite night. She had My Dying Bride playing quietly on the stereo, and was feeling pretty calm.
Even as an ex-vampire, now justice demon, Paige could feel nervous. And right now? She did. She purposely wore a burqa over her clothing, so that her body and face were hidden for now. Standing outside the door, she took a deep breath and knocked.
When someone knocked on the door, Lilly was a little surprised. She wasn't expecting anyone, and Stephanie would have called. She got up and looked through a peephole she had installed in her door (paranoia dies hard). When she saw the person wearing a burqa on the other side, she called through the door, "Who is it?"
"I'm, um... an old friend. Promise not to freak out, and let me in, and you have my word everything's gonna be ok." Could she have worded that worse? Shit.
"Usually, telling someone not to freak out is a good reason to freak out," Lilly pointed out through the door. "I don't have old friends. Tell me who you are or go away."
"Alright. Fine." She unwrapped her face, closing her eyes. "Now, I've never been in this house before. So if you open that door, I'll prove I'm no longer a vampire."
What was heard next was akin to a shriek. Eventually, she did pull the door open, but she was holding a shotgun and was pointing it straight at her. "If you don't get off my doorstep in three seconds I swear to Yahweh I'm going to shoot you in the chest. Works against vampires, demons, zombies, humans, pretty much anyone."
"If you want to shoot me, Lilly, do it. I doubt it will do anything, but feel free to do it." She sighed, rolling her eyes. "Look Maymin, you're like me, you hate being all dramatic. So move so I can come in, apologize to you, and at least TRY to save our friendship?" A weepy and emotional reunion? Come on. With these two?
"I'm not being all dramatic; I'm protecting myself from someone that I was told was dead," Lilly snapped. "I'm not feeling all that welcoming to dead people tonight. Did that once and look where it got me." She kept the shotgun trained on Paige's chest for now.
"I did get killed. Delany turned me into a nice little pile o' dust." Paige snorted and leaned against the wall. "Seriously. I was a bitch, I know. Whatever Delany did to me finally gave me a conscience. So yeah. I feel like ass for what I did to you. But on the bright side at least I didn't kill you or anything. So come on. Look, even WILSON forgave me, girl! I got this whole fucking redemption thing to do, but at least gimme my best fried back?"
"So, I'm supposed to forgive you just because you got some sort of second change because you got a conscience?" Lilly asked, still not removing the gun that she had gotten after her little incident with Paige. It helped her sleep better at night. Might not kill anything supernatural, but fuck if it wouldn't slow it down. "I could give a goddamn if Wilson forgave you. The worst you did to her was insult her. You betrayed me, Paige. You came here with every intent to kill me. Rot in peace." With that, she lifted up the gun and slammed the door in Paige's face. The multiple locks that she had installed could be heard being redone on the other side of the door.
"Sigh. Ok. Should I chalk this up to PMS and come back another time?" She asked in her cutest tone. "If not... Be happy, ok? I heard yer with someone now. Seriously, if I never see you again just be happy, ok? So I know you're taken care of."
A faint "Go to hell!" could be heard through the door. Lilly was in no mood to forgive at this time.
"Right, ok." Sighing, she gave up. For now. "If you change your mind, tell Wilson. She can get me anytime now." And she turned, walking away.
