Lexi waved money at the bartender and got drinks for both of them. It felt pretty surreal to her, as well, but it was a nice change from being pissed off all the time, from encountering open hostility wherever she went. Whatever part of her that had thrived on that sort of adversity didn't seem to be on speaking terms with her, just lately, and Lexi was okay with that.
"This place doesn't really seem the same without Ben perving over the teenaged girls," she remarked. "Not complaining, just noticing."
