All Deanna had done since waking was thank god, numerous times, that she was off tonight. She'd been working so much lately, trying to make enough money just to afford the shitty little apartment she was living in.
To make it worse, she'd been having problems with her memory, problems she didn't even have health insurance to get checked. She felt like she had a mental block somewhere, something that prevented her from remembering anything prior to the last few months, when she'd moved into her apartment. When she tried... it all just became a blur.
Combine those health fears with the fact that working at The Heartbreak Lounge meant pretty much taking home mostly what you make in tips... and you can see why she hadn't been in a great mood lately.
Still, this was her day off, and she refused to spend it worrying or sulking. So for once, she went out. She knew Jolt! had a reputation for having amazing drinks, and stopped in, getting a mocha latte with a shot of espresso, but then frowned as she realized that no small tables were free. Damned if she was going to sit along at some huge table like a loser... she looked at Lilly, and gave a sweet wince.
"Hey... mind if I sit with you? I don't have much desire to look like the biggest loser in the history of ever."
