"If I'd had a silver knife I could have stopped him then." Pulled a dry shirt on, turning to see her going into the kitchen. Kept forgetting she didn't care, maybe it was all me wanting someone to care.
"Lucky, yeah thats me." Muttered, changing the rest of my clothes as she poured some more whiskey in the kitchen. At least I was dry now, that was something. Took the fresh glass of whiskey from her, thinking of world peace as I took a swallow.
"Thanks." Eyed her sitting on the couch, cursing inside my head. Just what I needed, the smell of her on the cushions while I slept all night. "Guess we're shit outta luck on a tv huh?" Wondered if she played cards or if she was planning on just glaring at me the whole time.
