At the irony of him saying that I might be eaten by a bear or a wolf I smiled at him a little. I wondered if he even realized that double meaning that he dished out. It didn't matter. Once he was in his cage there wasn't going to be anyway that he was getting out.

We both got armfuls of wood and got inside while it was only drizzling. "Sure." I replied to him asking me to start the fire. I found some saw dust and kindling pieces left in the wood box right next to the hearth and started to put the fire together before adding some bigger pieces.
The fire was started nicely by the time Paul came back inside, soaking wet. "I'll give you some privacy if you want to change into dry clothes."
