Turned my head and looked towards the sky where he was looking. "It might be late enough in the season where we'll just get rain here. Or it might snow. There's no heater in the cabin, so we might want to take some firewood in. Just in case." It just might snow tonight.
After I got the garage opened up I put the key back where I found it. Smiled as I heard Paul grunt when he saw the twin Impalas. There was a third one in the back. Bobby kept them around just in case the boys crashed them again. Guess he could sell them now. I moved towards the back and he moved to look at the welding stuff.
"I'm pretty easy goin' with what I like to do." Was a pretty boring person actually. If I wasn't hunting I was working at the bar. If I wasn't hunting or working the bar, then I was most likely practicing with my guns and knives or researching a case. I also liked pretty cars.
Lifted the cover off of what would one day be mine. Bobby said that he'd either leave it to me in his will or when I'd finished my fiftieth case I could buy it off him. Whichever came first. It was a '73 GTO. It had a 455 in it that originally had an automatic tranny in it. Bobby swapped it out for a 4 speed manual. I ran my hand across it and opened the hood making sure that it was still doing okay just sitting here. Sighing, I smiled down at the pretty. "I really like this car." I said, not even knowing if Paul was around to hear me.
