Did he just admit that I had a good idea about something? I almost made a comment. At this point we've gone the longest that we have so far without pissing one another off so I didn't want to ruin it by mentioning it. It wasn't easy keeping my mouth shut about it.
Watched him as he went into the cage and hit the hinge of the door with his foot. The cage was shaking but it stayed in place. "Yeah, that's not really somethin' that I wanna see happen." Commenting on him possibly gnawing through the hinges.
"Not my idea of a good time, but I've been through worse." He laughed but it wasn't a nice sounding kind of laugh. But I wasn't gonna comment on it. We headed out the door and it was getting pretty chilly out. Even though the house was stuffy the cold air was settling in. Turned over a rusty old wheelbarrow and inside was a cigar box. Inside the cigar box was a little mini lockbox. Put the combination in real quick and opened it up. Inside was the key to the barn. Think he was gonna be in for a surprise when the inside was not even close to being run down like the rest of the place. This was also where Bobby kept some of his favorite cars. Wouldn't find the keys to them here.
Put the key in the lock and opened it up, letting him go in first. The barn was also a lot bigger than it looked from the drive since three quarters of it was surrounded by trees.
