It just had to be that the only spot in town worth eating at was crowded practically 24/7. Lena had attempted to get something to eat every day there at different hours, and it just really didn't matter. There were people there at all hours of the day and night just hanging out. It was really annoying when there weren't any fast food places around and she couldn't just pick something up to go and that was it. No, she had to sit at a godawful table and wait for some push-bra waitress to come around and take her order. If this wasn't Hell, she had no idea what else it could be.
Already she'd had to scare off a few locals that tried hitting on her. It was really starting to get annoying, and there were only so many crotch fires she could start before it started to bore her. Okay.... fine. Crotch fires were never boring, but she really wanted to expand her horizons without people getting too suspicious about her. As it was, without Ethan around being her personal therapist all the time, she had a hard enough time trying to contain her powers. She'd almost caused a lightning strike to a nearby house that was making too much noise while she was trying to sleep. Yeah, she sure was a peach.
The food wasn't terrible though and had she not been starving every time she walked into this place, she wouldn't have set foot in it. It looked alright for a medieval type inn-looking place, and oddly enough it reminded her of some of the dingier places back in Macon. But not the point... the people bothered her more than the inch of dust on the floor and the occasional skittering insects about. Dirt and roaches she could deal with. Annoying people were something else entirely. She had just gotten her meal delivered to her at the table when some of these very same annoying individuals approached her at the table once again. Lena paused in mid-bite and rolled her eyes before directing them to her visitors. "Can I help you fellas find the door?"
