Elissa had the decency to blush, feeling embarrassed that he thought her so careless as to fall out of her own chair. She was quite well where she was in perfect balance with herself, but she must have looked quite flustered for him to notice. "I don't suppose that would be a very good first impression, now would it?" She smiled and made sure to sit more comfortably in the chair so as to not worry him. Of all the things in the world to worry about and her ending up on the floor was the last thing she'd imagined. She'd ended up on the floor more times than she could count in the past and not in a good way either.
"Use me," she suggested with a nod. "As your emissary or diplomat or messenger. We could try to hold joint meetings, get everyone on the same page or at least attempt it. Show that you're willing to work with both sides, that your main goal is peace and prosperity for the realm, not for the politics and bullocks of it all." Perhaps it sounded like far too simple of a solution. And while she might have not understood the intricacies of it all yet, she knew that it was a complex problem. She took a breath and let it out slowly. "Take it one step at a time. Don't be boggled down by the bigger picture and make small strides toward your overall goal. You'll get there in no time, I'm sure of it."
She snickered at that, feeling much like he did about her own name and title. "Elissa is fine. I am of a noble house as well, but I made a choice to become a Grey Warden to dedicate my life to a cause. I'm afraid lands and titles don't very much fit into all of that." She shrugged though, because that wasn't the main issue at hand here. "We'll fight the dragons together. The enemies. All of them. You don't have to do this alone, you know. It can be a burden that will weigh heavily on you if you don't delegate it well. Besides, I feel like all of us, all these people who arrived here so suddenly, we came here for a reason. Use us."
Her eyes were fixed on the apple he had tossed into the air, marveling at his sudden mood change and trying not to let herself get whiplash from it. She had to get used to him too just as she'd had to get used to the many travelers she had picked up along the way throughout her journey. With a smile, she nodded, readying herself to stand whenever he did as to be polite. "I should very much like to see all you are willing to show me. Already I find myself developing a connection with this place, so as much as I can learn of it, the better."
