Jane smiled brightly as she watched Eddie bound up to meet her.
"Hey you," she murmured, playfully brushing her lips against his cheek. "No, no dreams just civilian stuff. Someone started a rumor that rations were running out, so there were lots of fires to put out."
Her face flushed a little when he brought up the next day, and she dropped her eyes. She wasn't really sure why - it was Eddie for gods' sake - but the fact that she was interviewing with the President was kind of ... embarrassing? She guessed it was because for the first time, she really felt set apart from her friends.
"Oh ... you heard about that?" she said slowly, raising her eyes to meet his again. "I mean, yeah I'll be gone tomorrow - but not for very long!"
She sighed and shook her head before giving him another smile.
"I'm sorry, I guess I'm just nervous," she sighed. "After all, I'm going to be Eddie-less, which is worse than being Jane-less."
